[Q] How to get the stock theme back - Thunderbolt Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I flashed a honeycomb theme from rom manager and it completely replaced my stock skin. Is there a way of getting the stock skin back? I probably should have saved a back up to flash back to. I'm not having any problems, but would like the option of going back.
Thanks!

I need to put my phone back to original?

I need to get my phone back to the state it was in when it was new as im having it replaced by Orange tom morning.
I have it rooted with mcr 2.8 installed.
I cant upgrade the rom to an Orange one as i keep getting errors from the stock one.
I cant unroot either as that does not appear to be working for me.
Plus i have cyanogenmod 1.4 which i need to remove too.
I have tried all sorts of ways to get back to stock and so far i have managed to install a stock Orange rom by the same way you install a modded one.
So i just need to remove the modded recovery image and unroot.
Any help will be very much appreciated.

Question about flashing rom...

So let me get this straight... If I want to flash a skin or new rom then I do that by flashing the .zip file when in recovery mode. If I want to revert to some system or rom, then I need to use odin to do this? Also, can I use odin to directly flash back to froyo 2.2 from auxora (with black froyo skin using the files found here? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=799105

if you want to flash a rom you would do that in ClockworkMod recovery.
if you want to flash a theme, then you can do that with a zip in recovery, but most likely you'd use an app called metamorph, it all depends on the theme and who made it. (the developer will usually say right off how to install)
to revert to another rom, you can usually get by with flashing from recovery(although flashing back to 2.1 from 2.2 can be a little tricky), but if you soft brick your phone then you'll need Odin.
Auxura is froyo 2.2, there is no need to flash back, unless you want to go back to stock.

it should clear things up a bit
well, the problem I am having is that my phone kees locking up... i just upgraded it to froyo 2.2, auxora rom, blackfroyo skin. aparently the blackfroyo is causing it to keep crashing/locking up, so I want to get rid of this skin and go back to just the auxora, or just the norm froyo 2.2 stock OS. what should i do to do this?

I'd back up whatever you need and just re-flash the Auxura ROM just like you did the first time (Through Recovery).
if that still has issues, then you might try Odin, but that probably wont be necessary unless the issue is bad enough to stop the phone from booting even after you re-flash.
your the man... thanks a lot bro. i'll re-post in a min after i've re-flashed auxora... also, should i continue to use auxora since they have stopped development on it? or use a diff rom?
works great now! thanks!

You should be able to just flash your current ROM again without wiping. Just make sure your current ROM is not set to auto wipe prior to flashing or you will lose all your settings. Just check with your ROM Dev to see if the ROM auto wipes prior to installing.
But have a backup before you try anything.

[Q] How to get back to stock?

I accidently deleted my stock CWM back up. Does any body know where I can get a pure stock rom (completely untouched, I'm talking pure asus) to flash? Does one exist. Thanks
