My X10 can't detect my home wifi... What can I do? It can detect wifi anywhere but not my home wifi... So, I guess it's the problem with home router. Btw, I'm using Innacomm W3400V wireless modem... Thanks in advance!!
What ROM r u running because some ROMs might not not have wifi working if its in early developmental stages or u dont have the latest update?

Check your router settings it might have something to do with the isolation setting I can't think of the name of it but I will hopefully

A lot of the newer roms are also having issues with any router using WPA2 encryption (can't say for sure with WEP, since I don't have any to test with). But if you're open (no encryption) it'll connect just fine, but WPA/WPA2, it'll have some connection problems. Lots of people are having this issue, there's a few fixes that work for some, but not for others. Search is a great friend for that.
try making a second ssid for your phone on ur router
If all else fails and you need a new router...
save a few bucks on a router and use this instead.
http://www.connectify.me
I use this on several USB dongles on the end of some long usb leads.
Gets me wifi everywhere.
even use this on laptop in my car, wifi hotspot any where "we play dota after work"
Reset your wi-fi password if u hav 1. Otherwise check if your phonevcan detect other networks, and check if other people can join your network. good luck.

will try later when i go home... Thanks...
ok, should be your router's problem then. Sign onto your ISO's account settings if it only allows commuters to connect. Some router's default settings are configured like that. Can other devices (not computers) connect to it home wifi?
Like I said, if u hav security code, reset it.

It might be a baseband problem......I don't know much
Sent from my MB300 using XDA App
How can i fix's that? I like cyanogenmod much but i need wifi because i only have 100mb each mond of mobile data
You should try flashing different basebands. Search for modem collection on the developer subforum.
Try changing your regulatory channels in wifi settings> advanced.
I flashed another baseband but it dind't work
P.s. I flashed the baseband that was working for me on other rom's
P.s. It stucks by Get ip addres

Off topic so I appologise. But dude what's the kindle like? Thinking of getting one? Back on topic, I find if you turn sleep policy to never then it solves most issues. Also some routers I've heard cause issues.

Yeah, I've had those wifi problems too. But the wifi works after a while. How? I don't know. And I have no idea whats causing the problem either.
this is a general problem with CM7. If you press the wifi icon sometimes it won't get an ip but if you long press it again it takes you to wifi settings menu and for some weird reason it gets conected. This does not happen all the time but bottom line is that wifi is working.
Sometimes the above method doesn't work, you hane to disconnect and connect again. Flashing different basebands will not do the job as I tried this before. It's just a small issue.
Every time i am flashing a version of cyanogenmod my wifi doesn't work on my router at home but on school it does work On stock rom or stockrom based roms is my wifi at home working. Flashing another modem i already tried
Thanks
Thvmh
Do you have a password on your home Wi-Fi? If you do, start the Wi-Fi from settings->wireless & networks -> Wi-Fi settings, otherwise you don't get prompted for a password.
You should try to flash different region's modems..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1289830
I have a password and i have insert it -.- A diferent modem doesn't work i have already tested that. Thats the weird. On school my wifi does work. At home not. Stock rom works at school and at home.
Did you test other devices on your home wi-fi? You might need to look into the router status.

Yes i tested other devices even the Samsung galaxy Ace of my dad works
Maybe flashing another version helps?

I have a very irritating problem in my neo V.. Some networks connect immediately after entering password. While some, after entering password, try to connect, "obtain ip address" for a long time, and then atlast shows
"LIMITED CONNECTIVITY"
Is it the same with everyone else?
Please give a fix or solution for that.. I ll be very thankful to u..
P.s. I tried multiple WiFi apps and fixers from the market. Dont work.

As you can see, with some routers it work, with some it doesn't.
Some people had same problems on GB, some didn't but have problem on ICS.
By reading peoples post, mostly old routers don't work. To be honest I'm not sure why manufactures are removing "support" for old ones. But its not down to Sony, but ICS in general, as far as I know.

is your driver instaled correctly?
Yes i think they are. Usb tethering aside, When i try using wifi hotspot it connects properly with the laptop, signal strength also shows excellent but there is still the 'no Internet access' pop up on the laptop. I have also switched on mobile data and 3G

Wifi tethering is broken in the ICS stock ROM for most (if not all) Xperia devices . I've been trying various custom ROMS for my Xperia Active today but just encounter other issues (e.g. camera doesn't work with PAranoid Android)
Hi, I havnt used the stock ics build, but if u need teathering to work try installin Erachter Rom. I always use portable hotspot and works fine(as long as I have data reception). Not sure about Bluetooth or usb teathering though.

I can't detect a wifi network on my office, but there is another Android tablet also 2 BlackBerry can detect and connect to the wifi network.
I think there is nothing wrong on my wifi because I can use the wifi connection on the restaurant or college, but why I can detect my office wifi connection?
Anyone have the answer?
You're office may have a 13 channel router and maybe you phone is set to search 11 channels. Go to WiFi, press menu, click on advanced and select 13 channels from a menu. Don't remember what it was.

I can not found the channel preferences. It is the only options available on "Advanced" menu:
-Network Notification
-Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep
-Auto IP support
-MAC Address
