Archos 101IT Android Keyboard problem: process com.android.inputmethod.latin - Gen8, Gen9, Gen10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I don't know what happened because I don't think I did anything I wasn't supposed to but for some reason all of a sudden my Android Keyboard gave me this message:
"The application Android Keyboard (process com.android.inputmethod.latin) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
Only thing is that when I go to type something in at a place that needs the input method I can still see the soft keyboard come up in the background behind the above message. Is there something I can re/install to fix this or do I have to reformat my entire device!? What do I do!?
P.S. - I have full, permanent root access and have cleared out the "davlik-cache" folder numerous times to no avail.

Scratch this request, I just reinstalled and re-permanently rooted my A101IT & that solved it. For future reference, I'd still like to know how to fix that problem by any other means beside a full reformat?

The Process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly

Look to see how to fix this. Very new to this forum, and would love to learn more about this device...I can't open a lot of different apps because of this too. Keyboard function won't work....
I would like to add, that I can not access the settings apk now either. So I can't toggle bluetooth, unload, reload apk.....
Please help, I am now limited what I can do with this....

Thanks so much, I figured out if you have Titanium Back up(I do.) you can wipe data from the Contacts 2.2.1 and wala....Back to running smooth. I am back to being happy. You were very helpful....Thanks!
I am having the same issue!
I have put TNT lite on about 6 different g tablets now (I am a retail store manager), and yesterday when i got a new one opened for a customer I noticed the error on the original TNT build. I figured it was another beautifully glitchy software piece form Viewsonic, but after installing CWM and TNT lite i am still getting the same problem.

did you follow the link jhalsey gave? that worked for me, i haven't had a fc in since (a couple/few days)
I had this problem a LONG time ago when I went from TnT lite 2.0.2 to 2.2.1, but didn't know about this fix at the time and so just re-flashed and wiped everything, essentially starting afresh...
~mine solved~
my issue wasn't in contacts, but rather it was a issue with my calendar. I cleared it through Titanium Backup and it worked. I just played a guessing game of processes and finally tada! it worked!.
Fantastic assistance and direction as always. Much appreciated!
Cleared by te delete but now won't sync
I cleared by rooting and deleting the contacts DB directory, but now I can't get Exchange contacts to sync at all. Ideas?
FIX : android.process.acore STUCK IN FAIL LOOP
Found on Woot; it worked for me....
Everything was running great for about 24 hours. Now i keep getting "The process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." Please help!
OK for those of you that have this problem, I was able to fix it by going to settings > applications > manage applications > all > contacts storage > clear data. Now no more annoying popups. I hope this doesn't become a reoccuring issue.

Just had this problem come up for me today, and it was friggin' annoying!! That easy little "clear data" fixed it. Go figure! haha
In contacts you will sometimes get blank contact information. The contact will say unknown and contain no data. If you delete those you are good. It has become a regular check with every new sync I do on gtab, either after a flash or updating contacts from my phone. If you catch it right away you wont have to wipe all your contacts or get the error message again.

I used titanium backup and wiped the three contacts files, then presto back to normal

[Q] "android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. - Force close"

[Q] "android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. - Force close"
I wonder if somebody could help me with the following:
Im getting a message
"android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. - Force close"
when I try to use my contacts.
I have sync my contacts via google and via LGsuite IV but the same happens no matter which method I follow.
Originally the contacts appear OK categorized alphabetically by first name . But after changing the display order from name first to surname first and the same for appearance (in contacts-Menu -display options) the phone freeze and I get the above.
It seems to affect only the phone book as the contacts remain in the phone - when typing a tel number you get name suggestions.
Do you know how should I deal with it (I have the 10b software) .
The devise is NOT rooted , its new , and has no other apps than what comes with the device
Also when I power off the phone and and powering it on again I'm loosing the shortcuts for the market installed programs ,although the programs their-shelf still appear in the installed programs menu.
Thanks in advance

[Q] Having problems accessing ringtone settings.

I have an LG Esteem running Android 2.3.4.
I went to change my ringtone went into settings, ringtones and get
the following message.
The application settings (process.com.android.settings) has stopped
unexpectedly. Please try again.
then force close.
I HAVE SEARCHED this forum for over 3 hours now to find a solution
but, to no avail.
If anyone has had this problem or know how to get it fixed Please Help!
My phone is rooted and I am using Backup Pro to backup all my apps and
data because all I've found is lots of people saying to do a factory reset.
This is not an ideal solution since everything works but, being able to
get into ringtones....even notification work......
Again, if anyone can help me that would be great!

[Q] HELP! Android.Process.Media error. cant use my nook tablet.

I have no idea what this message means or what I can do to fix it. It says "The process android.process.media has stopped working unexpectedly. Please try again"
I just tried to revert it to 1.4.0 when I was at 1.4.3 I was able to fight my way to the settings and device info but under software it says unavailable or unknown. The reverting back had no problems whatsoever. i used Acclaim_update.Zip to do it and followed instructions to the letter. Is there a way to fix this by reinstalling the software differently or possibly a fix for this problem?
Also Please understand it was a hassle to even get to the settings. ive tried resetting and deregistering device. didn't work
Sounds like you need the stock firmware. Hope you get it fixed...could always tell b&n that it happened with the ota 1.4.3 update. If you get it fixed and end up on 1.4.3 again, the ext SD card root method works.
Sent from a galaxy far far away......
See if you can use one of the nandroid backups to fix

I read this 'can' be caused by a bad SD Card. The logic behind this premise is that Android ( the operating system ) reads a 'bad spot' on the memory card and being really stubborn, will not give up 'trying' to read the data at that bad spot. The fix is to re-do the card completely. Use SDFormatter 3.0

LG E615f - Phone can't save new information

Hello Everyone!
I need some help with my phone, I'll be thankfully if some of you could help me finding out the solution of the problem.
It's a LG l5 E615f Dual Chip
No matter what I do, every time I reboot the phone, all kind of changes I do it's restored to the day the problem has started (6 july). Even deleted photos comes back, and I'm not talking about the MiniSD Card, its the internal memory, configurations changed, accounts deleted, apps deleted, even the ROOT I've tried to do gets undone when rebooted.
*NOTE: I just tried to ROOT because the problem, I've never rooted before that thing happens.
And I believe that's causing some kind of instability in the phone. It also randomly gives me the following errors:
-"unfortunately, Internet has stopped"
-"google play services has stopped"
-"google play store has stopped"
-"Unfortunately, the process android.process.acore has stopped"
-"unfortunately the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped"
The frequency is about 8 seconds.
And also reboots randomly.
When I try t run an app like outlook, facebook or whatsapp for example it crashes.
The frequency of error messages, reboots and crashes makes the device completely useless...
Things I've already tried:
- Hard and Soft Reset (Soft Reset simply doesn't work, and Hard reset I get the android robot screen, but after reboot everything keeps the same)
- Rooted the phone (after a lot of failures, one succeed, after opening the KINGO Root the app crashed and the phone rebooted and the ROOT were undone)
- LG Mobile Support Tool (After update, nothing happens, everything keeps the same as were before)
- Remove google account and add again
- Delete a lot of apps (I did waste like 1 hour after reboots and crashes and uninstalling various apps, no succeed.
- Update google play services (I used an APK and MiniSD card to do that, receive the message "App not installed.")
- Tried to delete and add files from the PC (Cannot add or delete anything from internal memory, only the miniSD)
That's it, does anybody knows whats happening?
I'm desperate too
I'm having the same problem here with on LG-E612f
E6xx is the old generation L5: http://forum.xda-developers.com/optimus-l3-l5-l7
