PREMIUM KFIX SOURCES - Decided to do this because maybe could be useful for someone here, and I dont own mini pro anymore

thanks, seems like a nice tweak, ill be the first to try then, will update....
keyboard led is working as promised, sd card seems to be accessed a tad bit faster, my quadrant was 992, seems low, tho much better than previous, how do I change the overclocking to make it faster?? havent noticed the density difference, but will try it out on a game where the words were practically unreadable....and wifi really is better now thanks nice contribution!!

nice work only one thing you should not include a build.prop so gingerbread user can also flash this
and the attached twilan.ini it has dual band enabled and adhoc it is better to use
and also about the denstity bad move
some apps can only work with standart density's like 120 160 240 etc etc

there is a new module so you won't have to set it manually only insmod it and then configure speed in setCPU so only command will be "insmod /system/lib/modules/x8oc.ko"

[ROMADDON] Bootsound for CyaNoComb 1.2/1.3 and Froyocomb 1.5/1.6

Hello there.
I played around with the bootsound thingy and have made a hopefully nice bootsound for our froyocomb and CyaNoComb installation.
All you need is one of this rom with its appropriate honeycomb-like bootanimation.
And of yourse these CWM-installable packages:
One to install that Bootsound
and one to remove if you don't like.
If you currently have made a dalvik or cache cleanup the sound may not match with the animation, of course.
Bwoooowzz
[edit] ah uh thx owain.

put this in init.local.rc just add it to the lines that are already there
Code:
service bootsound /system/bin/bootsound
user media
groud media
disabled
oneshot
on property:init.svc.bootanim=running
start bootsound
on property:dev.bootcomplete=1
stop bootsound
create a text file without extension and put it in /system/bin called "bootsound" (change permission to 777)
Code:
#!/system/bin/sh
if [ -e /system/media/android_audio.mp3 ]; then
sleep 7;
stagefright -a -o /system/media/android_audio.mp3;
fi
exit 0
yes that is your init.d code =D
now your mp3 will begin when boot animation begins
and when your system is booted sound will be cut off if it is still running try it out
you can start and end services on times you want when the phone is booting
so if you make the bootsound a service
you can start it when the boot animation starts and end it when the boot is completed
if you want the file "bootsound" somwhere else like in /system/etc just put it there and edit this line in init.local.rc
Code:
service bootsound /system/bin/bootsound
to
Code:
service bootsound /system/etc/bootsound
you still need to set the permissions of the file to 777
but basically you can put it wherever you want
Meh ^^ nope. That "recommended" version via that init.local.rc one was what I tried first.
Under whatever circumstances this file is not executed/read on bootup. Either this works nor:
>$ service check bootsound
says bootsound is established as a service. in this init.local.rc is also another "service called "compcache" and this service is also not listed in
>$ services list
Thus I combine this init.local.rc is not read.
I also tried chenging permissions of that init.local.rc (0,0,755) but this all makes no sense and I stopped going deeper there and used the init.d version that worked
I guess I've to grep the PID of stagefright and then kill it after 21 seconds (the sound runs 20 seconds) ;O. That would be an ugly hack and that's why I am looking for a better solution.
Why dont you guys simply include into ramdisk?, anyway ramdisk gets extracted on each boot
After you guys figure out a elegant solution for this, would be nice to see a version for Slade's CM.

My first hand on ramdisk made me a lucky backup-restore-guy
Well, I'd like to have it "add on like" so changes in ramdisk would more or less mean there is no nice way back if you decide you don't like it.
Well, let's find out why this "init.local.rc" file is not read or which alternative 'persistant' file can be used as init one.
Nice snoopo this works flawlessly!

Wonder what it could be? I also for seom reason decided not to back up the original haha, i guess pulling it out of the original zip wont be too hard though.
On the other hand, looks great and I can still control brightness through the widget on the status bar, so not really a problem!!
Thanks guys!
Tested and working ! very nice !
I can't open brightness settings too, but I don't use it
i think the brightness setting issue may be because of something missing in framework-res,can somebody help me with it????

It does not work at all for x10mini.
Sony Bravia seems to work!!
It appears that the Bravia engine does make a difference to the screen, however, I'm not sure its for the better or not. Everything looks very high contrast, and the colours seem a little darker.
I installed it through clockwork recovery (included with Naa kernel v2) and everything seemed to install fine.
The xLoud seems to have Edify scripting and won't install through CWM so looks like a revert to Xrecovery will be required, however, I don;t think I'm that bothered.
Can anybody else confirm this? And will it affect the already desperately sensetive battery life?
Take care. This seems to be made for ginger dx v14. It also broke my wifi with minicm.

Pretty sure that is the issue, after all this replaces the build prop you have with one based on gingerdx...
I think copying the files and adding some lines to build.prop and settings permissions manually should work.
The question is what needs to be added to build.prop ? Just the two lines at the bottom ?
[Edit] or try this topic: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1246402
This doesn't change build.prop, but adds the necessary lines.
[edit2] see this for xloud: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1269778
At the bottom of the first post is a file with instructions for manual installation, this should also work.
after apply xloud: eq, dsp manager does not work

Yes!!! It seems so, I should have done more testing! Also, the bravia menu does not appear, although the effect seems to be working.
I will restore my CWM Backup, analyse the build prop, then add the effective lines to the zip and see if I can get it running on Minicm. Will keep you updated!!
Edit:
Ok, After restoring, it seems that I was just being optimisitc haha
I think I had my 2am glasses on when I tried this out, and in comparison, there is absolutely NO difference in the screen or colours!!! I'm so sorry for over exciting anybody!!!
I will ocntinue to test regardless, but I'm not getting my hope up yet!
Tried installing xloud manually it did not work
It seams that the apk in the zip does not install, even after moving to system and changing permissions to rw-r--r-- and changing build. Prop,
I think its signing issue because if I click and install application manually it says "application not installed" :-(

(MOD)CRT Screen Off Animation For SD 2.4(GPU UI)

Here is the Build.prop
I re-edited it to get GPU rendering
Very butter-smooth Animation
Added working Flashable Zip
Use streakmod recovery
Zip has the necessary stuff and new bootanimation
Method
1)install root explorer or similar app (i prefer es file manager)
2)Allow root permissions for the file mnager.
3)mount system s r/w
4)copy and replace the build.prop in /system/
With the attached build.prop
After succesfully passing the 4th step
Reboot your device.
Now see the power of your gpu rendered animation
Have a good day.

Much better way of going about this change. IMO
I'm sure many people make changes to their build.prop, myself included. I wouldn't want to replace my current file and then have to make all those changes again.
Worked for me - I had to change Spare Parts to make the animations "Normal" speed to see the CRT animation. Looks beautiful!

Try this, it's the original SE soft-keyboard, made to work on ICS ROM by Paul-xxx, all credits to him
Try to install as normal APK, and if that doesn't work, move to /system/app and change permissions to 644

Hope it works for you

I use TouchPal with the CooTek T+ layout on every ROM and every phone I use. You can type blazing fast with it and has some pretty cool themes for it. I use the Night Pack theme.
