Is there an app that logs data from the touchscreen? - Defy Themes and Apps

I'm guessing this app would show the changes of capacitance in the electrostatic field, in a graphic way. If you touch the screen, where your finger is, the area would light up underneath.
Does anyone know of an app like this?

there are a few app. search the android market for "multitouch test"

Thanks mate. Touch Test was the one I wanted.

[Q] Question about screen sensitivity

I am not sure if this is a common issue (I searched with no results), but my US 5.0 is far too sensitive as far as the screen goes. When I am trying to scroll it usually makes a selection instead of scrolling.
For example, if I want to scroll through My Apps in the Market or on Amazon's App Store instead of scrolling it selects whichever app my finger is on whenever I begin the scrolling motion. It forces me to constantly have to use the 'back' key.
Thumb Keyboard doesn't work very well either. I don't know if it is a compatibility issue or if it is related to my screen issue.
I know that screen sensitivity is a big factor in product design, but mine is ridiculously over the top.

Mine will select stuff on it's own from time to time. Especially when I'm holding my finger over the home button or something it'll detect a press right on the screen right above the button. I've learned to live with it.
You might wanna look into an alternate keyboard too, I use swiftkey and it allows you to calibrate the keyboard and customize it greatly.
I solved my screen sensitivity issue by rebooting the player.. I got to thinking about it and realized that I had never rebooted since originally getting the player.
I am trying swiftkey x right now and it is definitely a lot better. I downloaded it a long time ago on my Xoom.

Disalbe touch dead zone for stylus

Today I received my new passive stylus Adonit Jot Pro and I've noticed that when I realize small movements Android doesn't "detect" them. So I enabled the developer mode and set the Show touches and Pointer location features. After a few test I've seen that Android have a small "Dead Zone" defined. I suppose it's to avoid unwanted scrolls and touches dude small and involuntary finger movements. But, using stylus I want to get rid of this "Dead Zone" because
Does anyone knows if there's a hidden option, Xposed module, AOSP code location... way to remove it? Thanks.

Wierd thing: line with sparkling point on phone

A few minutes ago while swiping through and app, a gray line began to appear. It was a trail, similar to what one sees when using Swype on the keyboard. However, the keyboard wasn't open. Even weirder: the point by my finger looked like the lit end of a sparkler. I couldn't get this to repeat.
Does anyone know what this is? Has this happened to anyone else?
This is part of the knuckle gestures. i've had it sometimes where it thinks your finger is your knuckle
If you don't want to see this again, just dusky the knuckle gestures

Problems with trackpad app - miui11

Hi there,
I am using an app called trackpad on my poco f1 which is running on Miui 11 Global 11.0.6.0. This app is not so popular (i think). But it is an awesome app. After using it for a while now it changed how i use my phone. Basically what it does is, it brings up a cursor just like a mouse pointer on screen and we can move it around and tap anywhere on screen from the bottom part of the screen itself so we dont have to try and reach our fingers to the top. I was using this app on miui10. But when i updated my device to miui11 a weird issue is happening. There is a tracer to the cursor. This tracer is a temporary coloured trail that follows the cursor wherever it go (purely for aesthetics). But now when i dismiss the cursor this trail is not completely going away. It persists as a faded trail on screen. It goes away when the screen is switched off and turned back on. I tried to contact the devoloper and they are not replying and there is no app update till now. I know this may be an app related issue and probably not related to the device. I dont know if i can ask this here. But if anybody have any solution it will be really helpful as i cannot find any other good alternative for this lifesaver app.
I am attaching a screen recording. Thanks in advance.
The trail is from the app itself as I saw in the reviews. I'm the developer of Quick Cursor, an alternative to Reachability Cursor and Trackpad. You can try Quick Cursor and see if it suits your needs.

Usually the trail disappears after a second...there is an option for tweaking it too. But now it disappears but leaves a faded mark on the screen permanently until the screen is turned off.
Going to try Quick cursor
Thank you.

Hi.... i've been using your app for a while now...... its a solid app.... very good job..... trackpad can be completely replaced by quick cursor...... i've some suggestions as well.
1. Can you make the tracker more dynamic? What i meant is, as per now the distance between track pad and tracker is fixed. It would be good if the tracker can flow freely in the direction of movement. So that we can easily reach more area without lifting the finger much.
2. Because of the nature of the app, providing limited time trial with full features would be a great idea than providing free app with limited features. Because currently, the users trying out this new app have no idea about the full capability of the app like gesture control and customisable triggers and trigger area. It would be more appealing in my opinion. (Only my opinion ?)
Any way good job brother..... Keep up the good work. All the best for your effort.

I don't understand exactly how do you want this to work.

Sorry for the delay in replying. What i meant is, using this app, while moving the cursor vertically upwards, the distance between tracker and cursor remains fixed. i have to lift my thumb all the way up to the middle of the screen to touch the tracker. I dont know any technical side of it, but what i am suggesting is when moving upward try to move the cursor 'more in distance' corresponding to the tracker so that the user can still use the tracker at the bottom of the screen itself. I hope you understand what i said. (Sorry for my bad English). I think trackpad had this feature if I remember correctly.
Thank you.

Secret menu settings

Is there any secret settings where you can diagnose or check the touch screen or hardware. These ghost touches are making me wonder if it's just my phone that has the problem.
I know Samsung has a secret menu that checks the hardware.
You can enable developers options, then toggle"show touches".
Yes I already did that, and the touch data shows that where two fingers touch the screen, the coordinates where those touches intersect, wil trigger virtual buttons of the app currently being used. It usually happens on the top half of the phone, especially if you swipe both fingers.
Pls verify if yours does the same, other wise I won't know if it's just my phone, or unless someone can give a touch screen test diagnoses that will confirm something is wrong with the touch screen
