wait?? in your wildfire smoothly???

Thats launcher works perfectly on my wildfire , no lags but it's too big for our res. In this case it doesn;t look good.
either app launcher ,just everything.

how you get this to run smoothly? lags so much on my wildfire and its overclocked...

regina 3d launcher
work on my buzz with cm 7 good launcher but meaby litle slowly

The biggest problem is that it doesn't have a native GPU.
So it'll be always a little bit slow.

Just turn reflections of will get the most laggs away

very laggy on my phone... The only way to reduce it is to turn of the animation...
But that is the sweetest thing on regina...

Best Launcher

Hi people! What's in your opinion best home replacement app for Wildfire? Except LauncherPro (it is smooth and fast but got old :/). Thanks.

Although most will say Launcher Pro, I personally am a fan of ADW more than that. And, I bought EX a few weeks back, and, its far more amazing.
Other alternatives are GO Launcher, Zeam, and the upcoming SPB Shell (Although I dont know whether it will work on the WIldfire or not)
@3xeno I got ADW EX. Thanks man, it's awesome! I used ADW free version too but the EX version is WAY more customizable. Again, thanks!
No issues. Enjoy.
I change launchers like my underwear, just to keep the experiences a little different and also because some go better with certain themes.
Right now I have GO Launcher because I like the themes, the classic them goes well with the UI look I'm after. Maybe later I'll restore my Launcher Pro or the launcher from Sony Ericsson because that had a nice glassy look too.
ADW isn't bad either but I can't buy the themes I would want to I don't bother.
I tried Panda Home too and it wasn't all that bad either.
So for looks, I'd say GO Launcher. For functionality and customisability I would say LauncherPro or ADW.
I like Zeam best, it's really fast! I've still got launcherpro plus though and occasional use it because of the cool widgets it has.
I recently tried Launcher 7, a Windows phone 7 looking launcher. It had some great animations which ran smoothly on the Wildfire. This was great because it was highly customisable which I believe not all Windows phone 7 style launchers can do(?).
A new update for LauncherPro came out today, I'm using the pro version, it just added some widget improvements and a new Gmail widget.

I would vouch for this, i use Zeam a lot of the time however it does not have as much functionality as the other launchers but is extremely fast.
I have adw ex, it used almost 5 minutes to loaded up my 900mb (250apps) apps, but launcher pro plus only use 45seconds to load it, with a lot of widgets, after my phone reboot.
How about launcher pro plus?

I would use Go Launcher if it supported better our qvga resolution...
Because I think its app drawer is the best for usability, but it looks so bad on the Wildfire screen: I would pay for a modded version.
Anyway I'm using LPro+ which is very fast and smooth.
Yeah, GO Launcher sucks on this screen... But if you hide app names in drawer, it looks good. Anyway, I tried all of launchers people listed and they are great but I'm always going back to Sense.

Can I use themes on launcher pro plus although I don't have root? I'm using adw ex atm coz of the themes and think that the app drawer is cooler.
hey, whats about sbp shell 3d? its released ... does it work on wildfire???
I already try spb 3d.. not works on wildfire.. stock 2.2..

I tried launcher pro, but always end up using Sense again, mostly because of the widgets, they are just so useful.
Ig you want widgets that look nice buy lancher pro plus then follow the instructions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=783427 to get nice themed one which look 100% better than the standard grey
I recently also downloaded launcher 7.
I ditched ADW for it.
Kinda like the little customizations for launcher 7, bring a newer look from other launchers which basically look the same.
Only downside is, the widgets all look tiny, so I have to live without widgets (which I dont normally use anyways).
GO Launcher in my opinion is the best. It has many functions such as closing running applications.

Hate to say it, but I LOVE Launcher PRO! ADW Launcher is a pretty good 2nd-bet, however Launcher Pro, IMO has much better options!

Spb mobile shell 5

SPB mobile shell 5 for HTC wildfire ?
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using Tapatalk
no... doesn't work on stock rom :-(
i get a black screen and then back to sense ...
The same on CM7.
There is too much 3d (or whatever)
Can make a fix for 3D?
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using Tapatalk
It has a nice UI, but its way to hardware dependant even if the wildfire could run it it would be mega laggy with all the 3D effects ect.. But damn we need a new launcher with good features :/ im getting fed up with LLP and ADW EX and go launcher EX doesnt fit to our screens right

HTC sense

Anyone else here miss the normal screen transitions of sense 2.x?

I miss both of these. I really don't understand why HTC couldn't make the wallpaper scroll. The 3D widgets are cool, but not necessary. You could always use ADW Launcher but then you'll have two launchers running at once. I've seen some, but not significant battery drain from running ADW on top of Sense.
I think they didn't do wallpaper scrolling bc of the carousel feature since it spins pretty fast it'll that couple with wallpaper scrolling will cause it to lag, idk just my thought
But they could've made the wallpaper stop scrolling when you start the carousel.

QQLauncher

Just read about QQLauncher on www.reddit.com/r/android. It's a very nice launcher offering just what the default launcher misses. It's a shame so few widgets work. Try it out, especially the animations are slick.

Do you know where to find more working widgets? Only SiMi clock and simple calendar work in QQ.
I agree it does look good, but would like more widgets for it as well. Also pin codes don't work as you have to unlock the screen twice.
Yes it's blazing fast but many widget didn't work properly. Also if you use the custom lock you can't insert your pin as electric said. I will follow the development anyway, it looks very promising!
I'm using GO Launcher now but sometimes it slows down I think I will give ADW Launcher a try...
Yeah, it may improve and fix the bug with inserting a pin etc and more widgets etc, it has potential.

Tried ADWLauncher EX for two days. It does not offer so much more functions compared to the default launcher. Also, the default launcher has a easier and more intuitive UI and looks nice as well.
Worst part is that ADW EX lags as hell. Might be because the default launcher was still running with all wigets on it, but I was fed up with ADW anyway.
Launcher7 is till now the best replacement launcher for me, you should try it, even if you don't like WP7, change the tiles to transparent and choose a nice background and it wil look very different.
If I can share my experience I also tried GO Launcher EX and Launcher PRO in these days.
GO Launcher has a lot of way to customize your homescreen but feels a little choppy sometimes.
Now I'm running with Launcher PRO, it is very fast and has a good amount of customizations, but it's a little outdated (may 2011). I hope the developer will release a fresh version soon...

ADW was just a row of lags on my phone, and I only had 4 homescreens with approximately 5 widgets in total. The only replacement launcher that does not suck is Launcher7 imo, but it has a totally different lay-out than other launchers, which you got to love or hate. The default launcher is not bad at all.

For me is adw best, because there is swipe up and down function.

Just tried SPB Shell 3D, it's very smooth with lots of 3D effects and all widgets for the stock launcher work perfect, except for Timescape obviously. There a texts widget that's like timescape, but smoother.
Only drawback is that it costs €10,45.

GO launcher has that function too... I tried ADW yesterday but got 3 force close in a day, not so stable on my phone... I'm back with GO atm, it's a little lagged sometimes but it's stable and has all the customization I love...

How to reduce 'battery use' on settings?

Hey guys im just playing around with my new phone and I check on settings>power>battery use and I find out my 'screen' is 59%.
It is not that big of a deal but would better if it only takes at least 40% and below. That would make the battery life last even more.
I already test on removing all the HTC widgets on sense and try to reduce the brightness a bit but that's the minimum I can get which is 59%.
I'm new to HTC phones, so could it be the sense launcher?
Or maybe freezing or removing sense and use other launchers instead such as nova, the screen usage might be reducing even more?

You have to freeze and disable htc sense and use go launcher ex. Its The Best Launcher With More Themes and If You Want The Sense Look Again Search for Go Launcher Sense 4.0 Theme
Well to be honest, go launcher will make it more heavy. The launcher is really bloated and full of crap. Better use apex, nova, holo or adw ex.
