[Q] SD Card - Vibrant Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have CM7 and my sd card is not loading ... how can i fix the problem

loading on PC or PHONE? Which SD internal or external?
- if its the external mount to PC i believe it was fixed in the latest nightly. When did you install?

did you just flash the initial? Like noted, the latest nightly will address that.

[Q] how to mount sd card on CM 6.1.1

So I have this CM 6.1.1 Rom installed from Wolfbreak.
Everything works fine except that my phone can not find my sd card.
With Multi-Mount SD-Card I can mount the card to the PC and I can also see and use it in xrecovery.
Is there a fix for that issue? How can I see the card on my phone?
Greetings

[Q] Can see/use external sd card fine in ClockworkMod but not from phone itself

I just installed the a custom ROM (latest Resurrection Remix 3.1.2, based on AOKP/CM10, as well as its recommended patch fix) and can no longer see my external sd card anywhere.
/sdcard, /mnt/sdcard, and /storage/sdcard0 show the contents of the internal sd card (in file explorers like TotalCommander)
/extSdCard, /mnt/extSdCard, and /storage/sdcard1 are empty, though before installing the custom ROM it was showing the contents of the external sd card
I used ClockworkMod Recovery to successfully revert back to my nandroid backup, which was stored on that same external sd card, of the preinstalled ROM from Samsung (which was updated from 4.0 to 4.1 through OTA updates) that I had on my mobile but unfortunately in my notification area it says "Preparing SD card / Checking for errors" followed by "Damaged SD card / SD card is damaged. Try reformatting it."
But I doubt there's some hardware problem with the external sd card because it's brand new and still accessible/usable from ClockworkMod Recovery.

[Q] Unable to mount SD card with CM10

Hi, I installed CM10 on my 8GB from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1877217
Initially, my external SD card worked, but after a reboot, I am not even given an option in settings > storage to mount the SD card. Additionally, I cannot mount the card from CM 10 recovery boot.
I know that the actual card works, because I can install CWM or something else to the SD card and boot from it. It's just that in CM 10, it isn't recognized at all. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

[solved] Flashed CM11 SD Card (external) not accessible anymore

Hey I just Flashed the most recent nightly CM11. But now my (external) SD Card is not seen anywhere.
What I tried so far:
- clear caches (CWM)
- reflashed cm11
- format sd card in windows (fat32)
- format sd card in windows (ext4)
- format sd card in CWM (failed)
- mount sd card in CWM (failed)
sd card is working in card reader (both win/linux) and worked before in stock ROM, so I assume it is not broken and generally compatible to the phone.
any suggestions what else to try?

Thx for your reply. I know that the folders where external sd is mounted has changed with kit kat. But the sd wasn't mounted there either.
Anyway this problem is solved. I reformated the sd with my linux pc and now it works like expected. I don't know why but windows seems to have problems formating the sd correctly although the sd worked with a windows pc.
