On most Android (and other) phones I have used there is some form of indicator which tells you that the phone is charging (even when the screen is off).
Is there an app available to achieve this on the defy. When the screen is off and the phone is on charge it's impossible to tell that it is actually charging.
O yes. I am from russia one of us write tis application

Thanks guys. Great app indeed. But little too much for what I need. Plus, it wants access to my network, messages, phone and a lot more. All I want really is something that tells me my phone is charging.
Thank you anyway
Jean-Luc,
I use Lefefy and it DOES what you ask for, and it also gives you an accurate state of the battery with a nice round look in the status bar.
Also, it can turn the Defy LED on in blue when you put the phone to sleep while still being connected in Wifi or Bluetooth (a situation you might want to avoid in order to save battery).
LeDefy does all of this ... for free !!!
These russian guys did a a great job.

Do you have a page or link from where we can get the latest version? I started to using Ledefy, and would be great if we had a link that is accessible for english speaking users, and have the latest info and updates. Could you start ''yours official Ledefy thread'' here on xda for xda users?
Thanks
EDIT: ledefy.com didn't worked before, now it's woriking?

Nah i don't use JIT either. It is great for Quadrant, but not much else. The phone started to stutter (Ninjump and Drop game suffers from it). Restart happened only when the CPU load stays on 100% and very much activities on the background, so yeah it's unstable.
About the battery, maybe you need to try to:
1. Delete data/system/batterystats.bin
2. Fully charge the phone (recommended to do it while phone turned off)
3. Drain the battery again to the last charge available.
So hopefully it will be better next time. O yeah, if you're on .06 version, you can go to User Support in the Drawer, there is Battery Optimizer function inside there.

I have the same experience too with the supplied charger from the box. I don't know how to rectify this, but after i updated my phone to .06 i haven't experienced the issue so often (ocassionally still happened but can be operated easier than before) while charging.
Well maybe you can follow vlissine advice. but since i have not experienced it lately, i'm okay with it..

Well like i said, as for now, it does not matter me too much. I don't feel it often. Almost none exactly with my latest firmware.. So then i won't waste my time for that Thanks for the suggestion anyway.
I upgraded using the globaltron method for the wifi tablet.
1. I can't get the English US language, only English UK. Any way to get it?
2. My tablet thinks its the EU version, and has things like SIM Unlock and Mobile Networks in settings. Any way to remove this?
3. When I turn off wifi, I see "no service" in my notification bar. Any way to stop this? Will this drain my battery?
Thanks so much.
EDIT: Yup Cell Standby is hitting up my battery for a serious amount.

I had the same problem. Download "MoreLocale 2" from the Android Market. From there you can force the US English (the only real way to speak English). It is a quick fix not involving hacking and reflashing ROMs.
Hi,
1. I want to ask if it is normal to get a temperature of 45-55 degrees while on charging or while playing games.
2. Is it safe to install cracked applications from other websites.?
3. Is using torrent dangerous for the phone? Which is the best free torrent app?
4. Why most of the other earphones don't work with the device? Will skullcandy or sennheiser work with it?
Plz Help

Actually 40-45 days back, I have replaced the motherboard of my device and had to pay 6800 INR for that. Samsung care people could not give a solid reason for that. They said the motherboard was damaged due to self updating or due to some application. But I had updated over Kies only and my phone was running well for some 3-4 months after the update. Also I don't know how an application can harm the motherboard.
Therefore am too worried now regarding all the aspects

That just hides the step tracking card. It will still track your steps and consume battery unless you completely delete it.
Yea, it's still using battery. Seems to be less, but still there.... *sigh
Yes it seems that disabling (not just hiding notification) google fit application still uses some battery, but not a lot.
This is a simple app to get a notification on your watch and/or phone if your watch battery goes below a set point. In order for the app to work, make sure the app is installed on both your watch and phone and that you have opened both to establish the connection. You can then set the level you want to be alerted at and whether you want to be alerted on your phone or watch only. If you wish to only get alerts on your phone you need to block notifications for the app in Google's Wear OS app. This was mainly an app I wrote to try out Kotlin but I hope it is useful!
You can get it on the play store here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.turndapage.batteryalert
I have really been wanting a notification on my phone when my watch is done charging. Can you add a second alert for when the watch is charged? Guess I should try it before asking but didn't see this in the description ?

Just try the wear battery full above. I never find the need to check the battery level. But I need to know when it is charging or not. I use Automagic and setup up the sound to tell me when it is charging and show me the average percentage used since last charged. It takes quite a bit setup, but the simplest one require the least setup. And you can do a lot of other stuff with it too.

Agreed about the battery life. I have to charge at least twice a day, while my previous mi band 2 only once in 2 weeks. But can't help with it, I need wearOS. Hopefully next gen wear SoC can get much better life. At least last 2 full days in one charge.
