Has anyone tried this launcher? It has a lot of potential but isn't polished enough to drag me away from Go Launcher yet.

I have it... not too shabby.
Options are a bit limited, especially if you use Launcher Pro.
It's smooth though and I must say, it has promise.
Being free is a plus too.
I just downloaded and set everything up to my liking, so I will test it out for a day and come back with the verdict. But so far, so good, its different, limited to options but its promising.
I tried it. It was... okay. The SPB 3d Launcher was much smoother and actually looks right even with a modified density.
Very nice find!!! Thank you for sharing. Nice launcher to use as a default.
I like the launcher Widgets and all and once this gets a little more work and has some more transition effects, configurable Widgets, etc. I could see this being real good.

I've been using it since release, I love the transition effects, especially for flipping pages on the home screen. Still very limited in options, but the extra home screen space is welcomed, I love I can have different wallpapers and title for each page, and I have had no FC's yet, which is impressive for a new launcher just released a couple days ago.
I can't wait to see what further development brings, I have already made this my default launcher.
I think it's really cool. I wish it were more customizable, but it's very polished and nice for a free app.
Thanks for sharing

I'm using. I like it, definitely had potential, just not enough to make me leave LP

Looks good to play with.
Definitely needs more polishing.

I've had it for a week and it seems all right. I did use the 3D Digital Weather Clock instead from the Android Market because the Regina on didn't work very well. Other than that, it's pretty good for a starting point.
I downloaded it. Tried it out. Has some cool features like the secret workspace.
Other than that its pretty gimicky and lacks real customization. Obviously has potential since its free. But ya as was mentioned will take more to get away from LP.
The whole 3D thing is cool-ish. Dont see the point in it though!
I feel the same way as everyone else. Used it for a while but really needs some more options before becoming the lp replacement for me.
But great start and lots of potential.
I didnt like it, didnt have many options.
Get the GO Launcher EX from market for free, get some themes, and watch short review video on youtube. Awesome!

Hi Guys,
Quick question out of Adw launcher and LauncherPro or Go Launcher Which is the best to use??
I want Photo Widgets But it seems theses Home replaceMents Dont have them
Launcher pro and ADW use to have Photo widgets but not anymore
do you guys have any ideas or should i just stick to Sense
KiK me at username CellOo
thanks
I just tried Go Launcher Ex for the first time yesterday and I must say I am in love. Hands down the best launcher I have used to date. There are so many options and I love all the cool transitions. The Touch Wiz skin is pretty cool as well...It also has it's own free widgets that you can download.
I thought I was going to miss the Sense launcher but I do not see myself going back anytime soon.
The 3Evo was born to have 5 rows in it's launcher. It just fits perfectly. Add that with some Beautiful widgets, and it just can't be beat!
ive been using ADW and lovin it

Love launcher pro, but it sucks on e3d for some reason and it appears abandon my Federico. Was using ADWex but it isn't as smooth as launcher pro (when lp works properly anyway) so I tried go launcher, love it, extremely smooth, do miss the 3d (aka 4d) drawer though. Aside from that it kicks lp's ass.

GO Launcher is like launcherpro on steroids!!!!! Already loved Launcherpro but when GO Launcher came out.... man ol man!!!!! goodies!!!1
the animations are out of this word....love the app drawer can have em too!
D. None of the above.
Spb 3d mobile shell is the only other launcher I use. Go back and forth between it and stock. It's widgets are by far the best in my opinion. It's not quite as smooth as sense and it costs... But well worth the money if you ask me.

I like that one a lot too. Use it intermittently. Only thing I don't like about that one is that when you go to "all apps" and you scroll fast, when you touch to stop the scroll, the apps crawl up or down for a second or more (to lock on to a row) and if you try to touch an icon to start an app while the scroll is still crawling, it ignores it. You have to wait until the crawling scroll is done and then tap again. So I've gone back to Sense just because the fact that it scrolls all apps a page at a time is nice.
Mike
I can't use any of them, because none of them (without root) will give me a simple 1x1 widget that will display my unread exchange emails. (I can't use k-9 because my work uses Exchange 2010).
15 BUCKS FOR A FREAKING LAUNCHER???
bwahahahahahahaha joke right?
I also like Go Launcher but the sense is really fast and go Launcher has a lag when changing pages.
I see that spb has experimental stereoscopic built into it. does that do anything on the evo3d?
Personally, I have tried all that you've listed... Also GDE.
I have stuck with Go ever since I really figured it out. It gets my vote!
I tried Go for a little bit. (Few hours) Unless I missed it in the options I didn't see where I could get a full screen app drawer. I just felt like I was missing a lot if real estate when I opened the drawer. Got in my nerves :/ Small I know, but that's me.

lol, that is pretty small considering all the other great features.
I switch between ADW EX & Go Launcher....I like to keep things clean looking, so Go Launcher I set up with the scrolling dockbar hidden (revealed with a down swipe). With ADW EX I use basically a dual dockbar & toggle between the 2 with a downswipe on the screen. 1 home screen and lots of real estate to actually enjoy my wallpaper.

Lol. Yea. I know it seems petty, and I sound like a spoiled little jerk, but it annoys the hell out of me, lol. I just can't get passed it. Atleast I'm not one of those assholes that will rate it one star in the market just because it has one little thing I don't like. I really did like it.

I am enjoying my 3vo. But being my first real android, I do miss having quality apps from winmo days. They do cost more, but worked and looked better to me. Every one seems to be used to free mediocre apps that no one tries the pay apps. Unfortunately if no one pays there won't be many quality apps. I used SPB MS in winmo and will now try it here. I miss Agenda One as my calender also.

money has absolutely NOTHING to do with quality
no matter how ya slice it, 15 bucks for a launcher is highway robbery

Been using Launcher pro for a while now, never looked back.
So i came across this on androidcommunity site! It was created by some xda developers around here! I installed on my atrix and it is working good has some bugs, but it is okay! The full story is on that page!

Nice find.
Less forced closures than some of the honeycomb launchers I have tried to use.

Im using it right now and not sure how I'm feeling about it. I'm not talking about bugs or anything, but things like the inability to change shortcuts on the dock and move the apps button to the right irk me.
I do like the button all to the right does. Cool looking and very useful.
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
Nice. But I will for the official launch when all the bugs are worked out.........I hope.
The button on the right is tits. I just hope you'll be able to customize the menu that pops up whenever you press it.
This launcher, if it's what the 2.4 launcher really is supposed to resemble in any way shape or form, is going to be fokking amazing. I just hope it has the native ability to re-size widgets. I am getting bored of all the other launchers out on the market right now. Been through them all and am bored with them.
you can make suggestions on the thread here at XDA, the developer is really passionate about this app and really wants it to be amazing! feel free to drop a review and your suggestions over here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1268003
It is faster than hcl and less fcs, I think it I due to the decrease in rows/columns. I think the "running apps only works on cm7 due to the stock apps installed...but correct me if I'm wrong.
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
I have used it all day on cm7 with no fc's at all. I got it from the bionic thread.
Edit: settings button in the scroll tabs does not work reverts to home screen.

Don't have a market link for it, but this is by far the most unique launcher I ever used. Its styled after magazines and you can change just about everything. It even has page turning transition effects. A go launcher replacement in my opinion. Go check it out Lord willing

very fast and smooth on my CM7 atrix though.
Definitely interesting.
After emailing the dev, found its closed source though. Personally not fond of using an app with so many permissions without access to source (same story with GO apps)

I came across after a post somewhere here, and it is a ripper. It gives massively more customisation than anything I've seen to date. Effectively you can even set things almost to the pixel, and set every attribute of it. I say things, because you can add may things.
Now that I have freed myself from app launching woes in each launcher by using a combination of WaveLauncher and FolderOrganizer, I can swap launchers at will. I no longer need to mess with app groups in each one, and can customise widgets alone. This one will be one of my all-time faves, I can tell.
I look forward to it progressing. I already have a few suggestions!
I haven't tried this launcher yet, but I also have use both wave/folders together. I find it much more efficient Anne completely frees up my screens.

Thanks for the recommendation! I am looking for a simple yet elegant launcher and this fits well to what i wanted!
GO Launcher v2.87 Beta.. just came out.. highly recommended!
The last one was great.. but this one takes the smoothness level to a whole new level.
My home screen is cluttered with icons.. but is finally stutter free !

Wow its definitely a LOT faster on my Note.
The only thing that bugs me is the smooth/slow transition when launching apps. Compared to Apex in which the apps launch very quickly. It's like Go launcher is almost toooo smooth in that respect.
I'll also monitor battery use via "bad assbattery monitor" since the last version definitely used more battery than other launchers.
It is my favorite launcher even though I switched to Apex the last week. I'll give Go another try

I just installed the beta and I don't notice any difference at all. That being said, go launcher is my favorite Gab launcher and definitely smoother than all of them except touchwiz.

Take a read thru the description on the blog, all the changes are there.
Namely, the major change I like is the new method for adding shortcuts, widgets, etc. Long press any empty area on the screen and instead of the ugly menu, a list is displayed at the bottom.
Also, the app drawer (the screen that shows the list of apps) is also much better.
Is it more fluid/smooth/faster? Eh...
It could still be better but its never going to be as smooth as IOS due to how Android works vs IOS. Android physically moves each pixel around on the screen using 'math' to determine where each pixel should be drawn, one pixel at a time, then draws the frame, repeating frame by frame where as IOS uses pre-processed pictures in rapid succession similar to how film on a projector works.
Downloading now can't wait to try it.

The app drawer is just as choppy as it ever was. Mine is mostly slow entering the app drawer. I would also be in favor of cutting off the animation all together.

I am experiencing no lag on the home screen. The app drawer has a tiny delay opening it but other than that I think it works great. Still waiting for second day of battery testing.

No Go. After random nonsense with their apps, including dragging phones down to their knees with running logcat hundreds of times in an apparent public debug release, no. Avoid all Go junk.
Plus... ios look? really?
Beta 3 is up. Beta 2 I had no battery issues. Actually go has never given me battery problems to over a year and two phones.

I used Go with my Droid X and Liberty and loved it. Since this is my first HTC I've been giving sense a try, but the thing that drives me nuts is the home screen only sits vertical, where as Go works either or.
I never did theme mine, the craziest i got was enabling some of the cool page transition graphics. I'm starting to lean toward Go again, esp if i can get the sense clock/weather 4x1 widget. I have to say i love that thing a lot.

Being only vertical is what drives me nuts about Sense. If there was a way for the homescreen to be auto orientation, then Sense would be all I need.

Same with me, that's a waste of space. Apex launcher doesn't have that black menu bar. Not sure about other launchers.
I used it in the past but found it "choppier" then other options. ADWLauncher EX is my go-to nowadays. never had a problem with it.
I'm trying it right now. It seems to be the only one that I can find that offers a 5 column app drawer and allows resizable widgets for free.
It seems pretty fast, there is choppiness every now and then but that is usually when I'm running other stuff at the same time.
The biggest downside is the Honeycomb menu bar. I emailed the developer about this issue, hopefully they will take care of it since it is a fairly simple fix. If some of you like it too (except for the menu bar), I'd encourage you to email them and complain. The more complaints the higher the chances of a fix. [email protected]
