I was just wondering if there is a sense rom that has gif web browsing animation? I have been trying man different ROMs. Some developer has to know how to do this. I'm guessing something in the framework? Yeah. I have no idea. Someone please help me.

Not sure if this helps, but I Googled and found this. Make sure and do a nandroid before any tinkering.
Have you investigated if other browsers mention supporting animated GIFs?

Since the source code from HTC is from 2.3.3 will it work on aosp 2.3.5? They haven't released the source for 2.3.4 yet. Or are you just using this to find driver info for sound & camera? I guess what I am asking is if you do find something to help, will it work even though AOSP is two builds higher than the kernel source? Also, I will test anything for you guys. Just let me know.

very true housry23. we have a kernel dev on the team and we're trying to work on getting a new or better kernel out to you guys. we will obviously be testing this and i will bake it into my aosp rom once it works and upload it to you guys.

OK, sorry it took so long. Tried uploading it through the box.net app and it would not let me. Finally tried through a browser and presto. Let me know if there's any problems but all should be good. Just rename to "bootanimation.zip", place in /system/media and you should be good to go.

Edit: this is NOT the animation featured in the video. When I first opened the link in the OP, I caught an image and thought the one posted and the one I have were the same. THEY ARE NOT. Apologies for getting hopes up, but the one posted is still a pretty good one.

yeah when link broke he posted a new link then it didnt work i was running it up rtill 2 weeks ago and it was great on battery
and rms does not have it i asked him first he lost the booting and functional one
When I get to work tomorrow ill see if I still have it in my work computer

I agree. I'm not gonna lie. However, some people know more than others. We need to give them an incentive.
For example, a regular doctor can do some much before he refers you to a specialist. The specialist charges more for what you need.
I hope you understand where I am trying to get at with this.

im asking for an analog clock thats the google chrome logo with some clock hands thrown on there. looked around the play store with no help and i dont see one here on xda or online anywhere. i figured its a pretty simple task so someone might be willing to take this on.

its a great start but if you could make the circle thats around the blue center white (its transparent) and maybe make the clock hands white but other than that its great. check the screen shot i attached.
also, id recommend making a thread for this and updating it i bet lots of people would love this!

Now that 4.3 TW is ported even though without radios, can the sunglare lockscreen/animated weather widget be ported to 4.1? Maybe someone with the knowledge/power/time might want to make it happen, but I just want to know if its possible. Thanks in advance.

Much better title. And to answer the question now that I can see it, odds are no. Most features of the new version of android can't be added to older versions. I could be wrong an someone might be able to hack them apart but in my experience, it won't work. But the thread is asking correctly now so maybe someone more knowledgeable then me will chime in. It could be done to some extent, but depending on what feature you're looking for, the difficulty of doing so may be pretty high. IMO, it would be easier to just wait for a 4.3 release/leak for our device to get the features.
