[Q] How can I restore the calendar stock app? - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have rooted my x10i and accidentally deleted my stock calendar app.
Though I have used the titanium backup to backup first, but I found I can't restore it. I think it is the system app.
How can I restore that app back?
thx

I uploaded the stock SE calendar apk, just copy it to \system\app, then set the permission(just check the permission of other apk on the \system\app, and it should be same like the other).

[Request] SE x10 backup & restore application compatible with froyo

hi guys,
i just flashed my x10 to froyo from the original 2.1 rom. Before that i've backup my contacts with backup & restore application now i have the apk as well but i cannot install in on my froyo.. i need help if anyone can make the apk compatible with froyo or guide on how to install it using xrecovery.
Probably not so easily done.
I'd suggest flashing back to Stock and backing it up with another method.

thx for the help.... thumps up!!!
My backup pro restored my messages but failed to restore contacts
my contacts are always just backed up to my google account automatically so I've never worried about those.
And the SE Backup and Restore app will not work on any rom that isn't created by SE.

email client from the stock FW

I would very much like to use the email client that comes with the stock FW, as the one that comes with Cyanogen does not show HTML.
How can i do this? I already backed all apps using Titaniuma backup, but when i choose restore missing apps and choose the email client, nothing happens?
What am i doing wrong? Do i need to do something more?
EDIT: When i click on the email app i backed up in Titanium it says only data is backed up and no app..... how come?

Bump - any replies folks? I specifically had this same doubt - wanted to preserve the email application when I move (up) to CM7
You can try to use "system remover" to restore the applications that have been backuped before. Just put the *.apk in /sdcard/SystemAppBackup.
I also suggest you to read this wiki:

It's a very good guide to remove or install applications (both system or user applications).
what about the dialer in stock?

[Q] Missing stock contacts app

Hi all!
Using Titanium Backup I deleted the stock contact app on my SGS2. I did it on purpose since I wanted to use GO contacts instead... However after deleting the stock contact app I found myself unable to edit or create new contacts.
Can you please help me get this functionality or the stock app back?
Restore via your Titanium backup .

I have tried but can't.

[Q] How to restore contacts from Titanium Backup folder?

So I backed up all the system and user apps before installing the custom ROM CynaogenMod 10. I restored the user apps and it worked fine. Then I tried restoring the system apps and I had to choose to restore from either XML or system image. I chose system image, rebooted and the phone kept restarting. I then tried using the XML file to restore system files. Again the same problem; the phone kept restarting.
Out of the backed up system files, the most important one for me is the contacts. Is there any way I can restore only the contacts. I have the following files in the backup folder pertaining to contacts.
1) com.android.providers.contacts-1.properties
2) com.android.providers.contacts-1.tar.gz
3) com.android.providers.contacts-1.odex.gz
4) com.android.providers.contacts-1.apk.gz
search for contacts.apk in titanium backup app... tap contacts-restore-app and data....
Is there any other way to restore contacts? because this is not working for me. I have installed s5 glamuruos rom on my s3.

Calendar storage apk?

Sigh. Not intentionally, but I deleted Calendar Storage from my Sony Xperia Z2 tablet. I had a backup of Calendar storage using Titanium Backup, but apparently, it is not helping any because as the backup option says, it only saved the system data, not the app. Does anyone have a Calendar storage apk for Android 4.4.4 I could use? I'd prefer not having to reinstall the ROM.
Thanks!
Oh, actually Titanium Backup did save the appropriate Calendar and Calendar storage apps, but when restored, I am still getting force close. Even when restored to the System folder automatically by Titanium Backup, the existence of the calendar app doesn't seem to be recognized when I add a new Google account (does not recognize that calendar data should be synced).
Ah, found the answer. Titanium Backup moved the restored the file to system / app but they needed to be put into system / priv-app
Ignore my post. For some reason this thread appeared in two sections on Tapatalk for me!
