I've had my phone since July 2009 and loved. Recently- as of about two to three months- the phone hasn't been recognizing the keyboard presses accurately during texting. When I type on the keyboard, it turns from "test test test" to "testest tessst". I tested the buttons in adding a new contact and during searches on Google and didn't have the same issue.
As of today, the phone decided it was Slavic. But English, but Slavic. The menu changed between options being in one language or another, all the options in the menu randomly picking a language. If I exited the menu and went back in, the menu options would change what language they were in again.
Obviously, I chose to do a hard reset.
Now, I don't have the language issue, I still have the keyboard issue, and I don't get any service from ATT! I can't find any topics that have the same problems I'm having. Please help.
something might be under the keyboard.

I performed a search on here and find lots of posts about how to turn them on but nothing discussing the issue I'm having which is that they keep turning themselves back off. It's driving me insane!!!
I have a Touch Pro with Sprint. I go into settings and enable all notifications to display on the screen for new reminders, email, sms, etc. I've done both soft reset and no soft reset after enabling them and it doesn't seem to matter. After a few days the notifications checkmarks have seemed to uncheck themselves and the pop up notifications stop working. Then I have to go in a re-enable them all. I've gone through this about 10 times in the last two weeks and it's wearing on my last nerve.
Does anyone know what is causing this and more importantly know how to fix it once and for all? Is there something in the registry that keeps making it default back to no popup notifications that I need to change?
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me. Other than this issue I love the phone!
I have noticed 2 things with the new Sprint TP:
1. They work better after a hard reset. More stable and faster.
2. There are some programs I tried out that were written for the diamond (i.e. advance config). They have caused some unwanted side effects, like not keeping settings I had intended (i.e. hardware button tap sounds always turned themselves off etc.).
If you have any of those programs on your TP, one of those might be the culprit.
Either way, I would suggest a hard reset and then (if applicable) installing each program and seeing if it's messing things up.
As follow up, it appears that Advanced Config is the culprit. I uninstalled it, reset all of my notifications to display on screen and finally did a soft reset. Popup notifications are still working strong for almost a week now!

Sorry if this is the wrong place for this - or if this is discussed else where. The search terms for this are so generic, I was finding lots of unrelated topics.
I'm using stock Rom w/WM6.1. When in the Windows contact list (TouchFlo is off) and I start entering characters to find a name, when I get to the fourth or fifth character, all of a sudden the screen switches to the dialer mode, and a call is initiated to the person who was listed first in the search list. The problem is by no means consistent. I may go days without it happening, but when it does start doing it, I'll be repeatable until I set the phone down for a few minutes. After that, it works as it should again.
This same thing happens on my wife's Diamond, and my dad's Sprint Touch Pro as well. It's extremely frustrating.
Has anyone seen this problem? Know what's causing it? How can we fix it?

I have got a HTC Titan and a HTC HD7 both in the UK and I have had a weird problem from day one of having the Titan.
Basically upon activating my Titan for the first time, I started the Maps app and in its settings there was an option to read out aloud directions.
Upon planning a route, voice turn by turn started in British English.
However, after exiting Maps and restarting it, there were no more voice instructions! Even the option in Maps settings is gone.
I tried hard resetting and the problem repeats in exactly the same way!
I went back to my HD7 and noticed that it had normal voice navigation but I found that it was also set to English - International in regional settings.
I changed it to English UK and the same situation as my Titan arose!
Are your Windows Phones exhibiting the same problems, especially the Titan ?
same here. No button in settings, though I never saw it in the first place. Bought turn by turn instead. Great app.
ok so this is a little strange...
i installed 3 programs and one of them has changed the way this tablet works.
i noticed that now when it is turned on it displays the word "ENGLISH" in the middle of the screen and this never happened before i installed 3 programs:

Order and Chaos non official version -probably the culprit but i'm not sure
so my browser starts acting funny, giving me new popup screens above my password screens
and whenever i turn on the device it says "ENGLISH" on the screen. also it has been just connecting to the net and transferring information when not in use and when not ordinarily checking for updates
i tried to factory reset in the settings menu but when i turned it back on for the first time it displays: "ENGLISH" in the middle still... which means whatever was acting up is still there after a "delete everything factory reset"
if anyone could advise me of this it'd be GREAT thanks so much, or i can just return it and get a different pad
Whenever I boot my Prime after shutting it off completely, not just putting it to sleep, it shows "English" for a second on the screen as it is booting. Always has as far as I remember.
I don't have the browser issue you mention.

yeah, the browser thing is strange. it's like a second box to type in overlays on top of the typing field and i can see the words or passwords or whatever i'm typing in the overlayed box and part of them underneath in the mostly covered box.
i changed all of my passwords to all of my major accounts like ebay, paypal, gmail etc just in case but that started happening at the same time as the "english" word that now comes up whenever i turn it on and sometimes when i bring it back from sleep for over 5 hours.
This is the second time I had to bring my phone back to factory settings. I don't remember the reason for the first but it was within a few days of purchase. Verizon walked me through pressing three buttons at once (power, volume and something), and I was back to factory settings, reloaded my apps from the app store and continued.
But this time was more complicated because I had downloaded an app full of ads and who-knows-what-else. I feel I did something that made it happen. My voice mail stopped operating - no notifications etc., although it could be reached fine by dialing *86. My phone also kept notifying my by saying "unfortunately, your voice mail has stopped working" and I had to hit ok to continue what I had been doing.
It was late and I called back to find out how to reset to factory and someone read me a paragraph from their manual which simply sent me to the settings menu and then back to factory settings. When I was told to do this, I was asked whether the phone came from Verizon itself or from their store. For reasons I won't go into, I wasn't sure - but it clearly made a difference and I don't know what that difference was.
So I now have another back to factory settings restored this time by the google app. I still don't have a lot of my data but I backed some of it up beforehand.
The phone looks and responds somewhat differently: I don't have the same choice of swipe screens, ok and cancel buttons are in different places, and I haven't done enough to know whether it's better or worse. It does respond to magnification at the slightest touch and then becomes gigantic. I could barely get my "old" phone to magnify. Definitely a different something. It is 2.2 and was set afloat in April etc.
Do I have a phone that is more Samsung and less VZ, the other way round, or just different? I tried to get updates but was told it was up to date.
