Minimum frequency 122MHz.
Intro:
Well, it seems that many people don't want to overclock because of heat, stability..., and just want to have benefits of an undervolted cpu. So here it is my friends. Default voltage level of our kernel is 3-4-5-6-7.

does owains floyo v4 rom have it underclocked already? and underclocked just means setcpu at 122mhz right?

Still not, you can install my tweak for owain's rom

hey this is really great! i'm running the gingerbread theme rom, which is supposed to be used with the 006 baseband. would it be possible to use this module with my older baseband? or could you make the module for users in my situation?
thanks!

this is about undervolting, its different than underclocking.

are you sure that owain's v4 does not have undervolting ? his change log shows this
changelog:
v4
Hacked market
Better Wif support (thanks D4rKn3sSyS)
WiFi adhoc and dual band (2,4GHz and 5GHz) enabled
Overclocked and undervolted (thanks module man aka doixanh)
Libril built from sources
......
Hmm i do not see that module loaded in v4 neither is it present in the modules folder and i don't think that the kernel has changed either. So it looks like although the changelog says undervolting , it is actually not present.
I will try this module now and see if it works for mini pro ...
Update : Got the module installed via insmod. Will see how it behaves now .
Thanks anyways

I've been getting a few random reboots after installing this, usually when starting a resource-intensive application. The "SD card safe to remove" message does not display before these reboots so I'm quite confident it has something to do with this.

i have same random reboots. Currently observing with this module deactivated and other memory optimizers uninstalled.

If you're having reboots, maybe it's cuz u have wrong baseband, and yeah, Overclocking module include undervolt, but having it as a standalone module, I think is more stable

undeclocking is different than undervolting...we are talking about undervolting.
About BB and kernel its the latest from SE (BB 015) and Kernel is the same. Dont think its due to that.

Im sorry I dont mean underclock, I mean undervolt

no probs . After disabling undervolting , the phone is stable. I read somewhere that underclocking module has undervolting associated with it. So i think this module is only for those who DO NOT have OC module active or have disabled OC in their ROM.

Hey bro im using both the uv.ko and the oc.ko on my stock and i have no problems at all. Everything is stable as yo
peace,
evilbarcode.

hmm ..it looks u are using stock SE ROM. that might be the difference why its stable ;-) with OC and UV. Mine is CM 6 - (owain v4 version). Although am not 100% sure whats causing this reboot.

How can I check and see if it is loaded or working good on my vanilla 2.1 ?

will this affect the CPU performance?
Hi death. First of all thank you for your useful work. I'm going to try this right now.
A few questions first:
a) I have mini cm rc2 with thw right kernel of course . Is it compatible ?
b) Minicm Rc2 has overclocking . It doesn't include undervolt too , does it?
c) I have set my frequrncy to 768 MHz. WIth the undervolt will i have any impact at the performance of my phone ? Will it be slower ?
That's all. Thanks foy your time

this module seems to be unuseful if you are using x08oc.ko because the overclock module is also an undervolting module for frequecies lower than 480MHz i think
extract of doixanh post for x8oc.ko :
doixanh said:
April 06. v002. Experimental! It maybe very unstable! Undervoltage for all frequencies except the max freq (Reduced voltages for 128MHz, 245MHz, 320MHz, 480MHz). This can potentially save battery. I need test results for saving battery from you guys

No, not at all. Just set setCPU to ondemand. Then while using the phone, the cpu will work at overclocked speeds and when kept idle will work at undervolted frequencies, thus saving battery.

but doixanh built this from undervoltig part of the OC module i think, am I wrong ? --> so there's no need to undervolt a yet undervolted cpu
correct me if I'm saying wrong things ;-)
I' followed the first post instructions, but my phone still draining battery. Where I have to write this line "insmod /system/lib/modules/x8uv.ko # x8 undervolt"? Because my phone still draining battery? I've put this line on the start of the "hw_config.sh" file. Is it correct??

Thanks for this awesome news! Updating right now!

Very many thanks Z! You've done a great job! Keep going! Thanks!
oh my goodness..this is what i waiting for..
How strict is that warning for 2.1 only.....
Before I go testing on 2.2 roms...is it destined to failure or does it just need testing by someone?
PS, great work!
YES!.67 is a huge improvemen tto .52 in performance and battery, thanks so much!
Does this work on Android 2.2.1?

You should really try it, I don't think Z has tested it. I guess that GPS and APP2SD will be broken with this kernel on 2.2.1 ROMs.

Custom kernel with OC and all these features + more -> HERE
---- OLD POST -----
Q. Who would benefit from this?
Those who want to stick to stock kernel for Official ICS (4.1.B.0.431), but would still want to get the benefits of custom kernel with init.d scripts, and native root access and many features like different cpu governors, io scheduler support, more filesystems support etc!
Q. Features?
init.d support
ro.secure=0 (that is now adb has native root access!)
Device is identified correctly (both Neo and Neo V) in recovery
ADB access in recovery
Clockworkmod 5.0.2.7 (credits DoomLord)
Governors: Smartassv2, Intellidemand and OndemandX

Stock WiFi modules
Required by only those coming from Night-elf kernel, CWM flashable.
Q. How to install?
Just as you install a custom kernel.
Steps:
1. Power down device and get into FASTBOOT MODE -> switch off device hold menu key & plugin usb. (LED notification turns BLUE)
2. check fastboot with "fastboot devices"
3. flash boot image
fastboot flash boot boot.img
4. Reboot with "fastboot reboot"
5. Enjoy!
How to enable/disable features?
This kernel sets properties to features so that they can be enabled or disabled easily
Code:
shardul.module.intellidemand=1
shardul.module.ondemandx=0
shardul.module.smartassV2=0
shardul.module.sio=0
shardul.module.tun=0

i have flashed the beta with Iscream 11 rom. everything looks good.
deepsleep, sd moumt with pc, etc. all well.
only i got different thing is phone vibrate two times while booting. once while transition between kernel logo to bootanimation, and second while end of boot as normal.
what has been fixed in beta 1a?

1. The first vibrate is when it enters recovery (so that you dont have to watch for the blue light)
2. Beta 1a fixed busybox re-linking, so that now the latest busybox is seen by the system.
Maybe I should give it a try lol.

For those coming from night-elf kernel, stock wifi modules added to OP
Will this work on any ROM? i mean currently i am using your boot_ICS_plus_v5 kernel which is fantastic, so if i flash this kernel (4.0.4) on miui 2.5.25..will i get WiFi? and sorry for being newbish but what's new in the sony's new 4.0.4 kernel and do we have to flash Sony's ROM to get the benefits?
Thanks for the kernel btw

No, you do not need to update, unless you want to have the new governors
No wifi problems though if you update.. But choose the lite version
Thanks, but what are the benefits of having new governors? and what has been added by sony in this kernel?
Updated to v2, with close to stock ramdisk!!
Should solve some problems faced by Neo users. Please test and report!
I am on stock rooted ICS 4.0.4 with your v5 kernel, if I flash this kernel, will my root remain? Because you said you removed auto-root, does that mean I will lose my root?

No, you will not lose root!
Can you add EXT2, EXT3, EXT4 support?

Hey Guys who wants to use the LuPuS kernel built with linaro for stock roms ??
You can find more about the kernel here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1867265
A big thanks to wedgess for awesome kernel.
I actually have this kernel running on my mini pro
Want Proof ??
Here is screen shot
Guys If you want it, then I need some brave testers who are ready to get their device bricked.
Note: Testers are testing at their own risk. I am not responsible for any damages. I try my best to avoid any mistake from my side.
I will PM the kernel and wifi modules to the willing testers.
Here are few other Screenshots showing the included governors
nice job buddy.
but anyhow i'm not dumb to take such a risk
Edit: i was really shocked about the brick thing.
ok i'll try it.
Currently I am having only mini pro with me . Mini is with my friend who is not available. So I would be needing testers for LWW, Active and Mini
And the getting device bricked was a joke.
It won't brick your device. At the max it won't boot.
Edit: I have double checked the deconfigs so it won't brick your device.
I give it a try... :fingers-crossed:
I can test it on mini

You saying that The ones testing are dumb...
If you can't take some risks, you simply can't invent/discover something new
Flashing/testing a kernel isn't a big issue
I am ready to test the kernel on MINI if it supports CyanogenMod
Edit: oops... Just saw the Kernel thread mentioned it only supports stock ROM...
Don't have a stock based ROM right now...
But I, can test it after 2-3 days

I will release the kernel tomorrow i.e 1st Jan
Need people to test before it.
@ Other testers
I will PM the kernel to you soon.
Agree with the above poster but u wont brick your device either way. It just wont boot.
He has my full support to also bring u all my cm10 & 9 kernel as well. I just dont have time as I also support PLAY, ARC & S, RAY and all NEO devices.

Testers please post the results here on this thread
I jst tested ta lupus kernel for LWW, its great awesome and really fast, WOW!
stanlin salu sent me these pics on the What's app
I still need the tester for Active and conformation by Mini testers
Then I am gonna make a new thread in Development Section
Phone: st15i_Xperia mini
Result:
Rom booted successfully
the performance is good and boot speed is normal.(not too long)
i tested the benchmark on 1.4 ghz u can see result in picture below.(Rom:Ultimate HD)
wifi works fine after flashing moduls
the cpu frequency will set on 1.6 ghz on every boot.it is not good
Just tested it on my LWW...like stanlin salu said...it awesome... :good:

Ya i know it sets the man to 1.6 gonna decrease it to 1ghz and then make final version
Thanks every one for testing
Just flashed my NEW 'JJHYBRID AOSP 1.0' and everything more than great !
Best kernel available for Mini (st15i)
I've tested LuPuS kernel on my st15i for several days. I've tested EVERY kernel available for Mini (except Radeon which I'm going to test soon). From my point of view (overclocking + decent battery drain) it's the BEST kernel till now. I'm running my Mini OC (1,4 GHz - superbad - sio) and with minimal use (average: 30 min calls + 60 min WiFi per day) battery easily lasts for 48 hours whereas with similar use and MESA v2.5 (my previous favorite) never lasted more than 40 hours. So, excellent job !:good:
Just migrated to lupus with serenity v3 ROM on Mini Pro
awesome performance. Smooth as hell, no lags so far. Let's see how long the battery lasts :fingers-crossed:

[KERNEL][GB]oxydo-zcf-03[2.6.29.6][11TH JUNE, 2013]

Okay. Some of you may know from the ZCF threads that I had been working on a GB kernel for the ROM. So here it is. This is a collaboration between the ZCF ROM and my team.
If you're wondering why a new GB kernel with features from 2.6.32.6, here's my answer:
2.6.32.6 isn't perfect yet on GB. Although nAa has said he's working on a fully working version, I feel it's better to have a taste of what it would be like to have 2.6.32.6 on GB. Plus his kernel would be directed mostly towards JB users, but mine is only for GB (although it can be adapted for JB). Plus I ran into some problems with my last thread here, regarding placement of the thread. This does not fit in either of the General, Q/A and Troubleshooting or the Themes and Apps section. This is not in the Original Android Development section because this is not really original if you don't consider backporting or porting original. So this is in the Android Development section.
Features:
- nAa-GB kernel built with Codesourcery toolchain (going back to the roots).
- AHB overclocking backported from 2.6.32.6 (may drain battery, but it will definitely be worth it; ultra-smooth performance and I am not kidding about this).
- SLQB.
- SmartassH3 and Deadline included and set as default because they provide best performance despite stupid benchmark scores.
- WiFi modules from nAa-JB 2.6.29.6. Needed them as a solution, because the GB modules weren't building.
- FPS uncap (hardware vSync is turned off; software vSync is still enabled though).
- Synaptics DT/NoDT switch to enable/disable DT on synaptics panels.
- Frandom built-in to ease random generation yet using less of the kernel's entropy pool.
- VDD interface for undervolting.
Not working as of now (11-6-13):
- You tell me.
Installation:
1) If you're coming from a JB kernel or 2.6.32.6 kernel
- Perform a Nandroid backup. And if you're going to restore to JB, make sure to format /system, /data and /cache again before restoring.
- First format /system, /data and /cache from CWM recovery.
- Flash the kernel in Flashtool as you would normally.
2) If you're coming from a GB kernel
- Perform a Nandroid backup in CWM
- Flash the kernel in Flashtool as you would normally.

Bug-hunting and fixing
1. 806MHz is repeated in the frequency list. This is not really a bug at all, just a slight glitch. The first and second frequency differ in some clock rates. I recommend the second one although both will work.
2. WiFi doesn't work on some ROMs because they use a different modules path. Easy fix is to copy the modules over to these directories and insmod them. Or for a permanent fix, help me create a list of ROMs that have such paths and their respective paths.
SDE - /system/modules
All ROMs based on SDE - /system/modules
I need something all these ROMs have in common that cannot be found on any other ROM. That will be a check for module-copying at boot. Need your help, guys.
3. Doesn't work on @tiestobunio's ROMs. I haven't tested any of his/her ROMs. And someone mentioned it didn't work for him. I honestly don't see why. Haven't tweaked anything in the ramdisk that may possibly cause this.
Changelog:
9-6-13
- Initial release
- AHB OC from 2.6.32.6
- SLQB slab allocator used instead of SLAB
- FPS-Uncap (hw vSync = OFF)
- Several other minor changes.
10-6-13
- Added the Synaptics DT/NoDT switch
- Frandom built-in.
- Undervolt module added. This fixes undervolting for now. But I'd still like to have the VDD interface. Apparently that didn't work out. But read on.
11-6-13
- Fixed the VDD interface. Tick Undervolting and use this interface.
- Removed Undervolting module because VDD interface is functional now.
Wishlist
- Integrate TWRP.
- Include BFS scheduler.
- You tell me!
And Finally perfect kernel. Rock on !!!

I have 2 questions..
1. Only for zcf or can be used on other gb roms too?
2. TWRP just like oxydo JB or CWM?
thanks.

Haven't included TWRP yet. Last time I tried it broke sdcard But I plan to include TWRP soon.
This should be usable with all GB ROMs. After all, a GB ramdisk has been used. So no worries.
nice kernel you got there meow and pisculshi

will this kernel be available also for x10 mini pro?
Thanks @feherneoh
Major derp there! We all need a "correct-it" guy some times.
@MassStarvation @feherneoh @Gogeta
The VDD level interface is supposed to be similar to nAa's .32. Can you guys check and see if it works, please?
@isko95
Not yet is what I can say for now. Simply because I don't have the device. And testing over the internet can be quite a pain. But I'll try my best.

I hate being the 'correct it' guy, but I can't understand this:
Why would we create a nandroid backup AFTER formatting all of the partitions?

if you share a link in the x10 mini pro, i think there will be a lot of testers, since it is a new kernel...
@Sgt.meow, I'll test it right after I arrive at home, I'm at the city now shopping some stuffs
@isko95
I'll keep that in mind. But last time I tried doing it for X10 mini/mini pro, the testing ended up being crap! Mostly because of slow uploads and connection breakdowns.
Okay. VDD levels needs some work. It doesn't work for now.

everythings working fine, thanks sgt. meow
but kernel is unstable i guess.
it did hang my phone twice.i had to remove battery. i am using primeHD. no overclocking.
@mayurcools
Haven't had any such thing on my phone. Running it OC'ed to 787MHz for about 3-4 hours. Perhaps if it reboots again (I hope it doesn't) you can send me the last_kmsg and the dmesg.

did you performed the steps in the OP? if so, maybe the kernel is really unstable, please wait further because this kernel is new and fresh and expect many bugs from it and sgt.meow is doing what he can to provide us the kernel we want :good:

@mayurcools or maybe the problem is that you install too much apps and bloated your system?
tested on GDX31b, so far so good. it's fast n smooth.
NIce
SmartassH3 and Deadline on GB!!
Using on SDE 2.0..so far so good except it hangs if i try to install Kickass Kernelizer o;
