its not that easy....because then the text on the popups would be black on black...you would also need to change the corresponding .xml

[MOD][Bionix V] Green Clock

Here is a services.jar I edited to get a green status bar clock to go with my set up. This works with Bionix V 1.2 I haven't tried it with anything else, I tried to make it into a metamorph but I couldn't ever get it to apply so for now it's just the .jar file, just rename without the ".zip"
Thanks to Tonic and Master, I wouldn't have been able to do it with out them.
Looks awesome! I love those icons... what are they from?

Themes on Droidswift

Anyone here have any experience of droidswift and themes?

Well the theme Chooser is available but not many are out yet and not many of them work on our phones. I was testing today an I seemed to have found out that theming is different for 2.3 because the statusbar is now a separate app altogether. But yes I did and we just need a few releases.

Thanks to the separate status bar, Metamorph themes will stop working unless the status bar images are put in a separate "statusbar" folder so it applies to the APK

You could use ninjamorph to replace the status bar with a different image

yes thats right for cm7 the statusbar is in /system/app/SystemUI.apk
Every time I try to change the status bar with a transparent image using ninjamorph, the original bar comes back after I restart my phone... I don't get it.

Are you using launcherpro?
Sent from my GT540 using XDA App
From my experience, launcherpro doesn't show the status bar as transparent unless using a lwp, so I tried that but with no luck. I then tried gingerbread launcher and a few others. But nothing worked.

hmmm, did you draw9patch?

[q] transparent mms

Can anyone tell me how to make the background transparent? What in values do i modify?
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
There is some backgrounds in the drawable folders of the mms.apk. They are all .9.png. So i would think if you edit those and redraw them you may be able to get the desired effect you are looking for. At least that would be my first thing to try rather then trying to recode them.

any one have any ideas? this is driving me crazy
Try your styles XML in the values folder. Of course you have to decompile and compile properly if you aren't already.

How do you change the theme color of a ROM?

I tried out ROCKO and love it, but how do I change the default theme color? I am referring to the colors of when you get the pop ups and on an app or when you drag down the bar from the top. These are mainly greyish in ROCKO. Imperative ROM has them RED. How do I change these colors?
I couldn't find threads on this
Check out the themes and app section. There's a sticky that's a good starting point.
