weird that i heard LG Optimus comes with "with google" slogan.....
Did anyone get Market to get working on the LG Optimus P503 yet? I have this problem on my son's phone now, any info will be appreciated. Has anyone tried Market Enabler?
Thanks in advance!
i also bought a p503 here in Turkey, it is just annoying not to be able to log on ANDROID MARKET. I read the suggested thread regarding flashing the ROM. Hovewer, it is a bit too risky here in Turkey cause it breaks the warry terms.
Can anyone simply suggest another way to activate th ANDROID MARKET?
thans by now
I learned the hard way that access to the Market or to specific apps from the Market are not phone related, but location related.
Yeah, try imagining my surprise when every single internet site said I can download and install Google StreetView from the Market, yet the damn application was nowhere to be found. So there I was, searching for the application using my computer when I found the Google Market site accessible from PC. It asked me to authenticate using my Google account - so they knew who I am, where I live, what type of phone I have and what mobile operator I use. Therefore, when I found the StreetView app, the download button was inactive because "this application is not available for your provider" or something like that. Whaaaat? Yet, when I finally found the .apk somewhere and installed it from sdcard, the app worked perfectly.
So Google restricted my access to that specific application. As it does to ALL the paid versions of the Market applications because there's no way yet to pay for them here in Romania. Therefore I have reasons to believe that your access to the Market is entirely forbidden because of where you live or because of your mobile carrier and another ROM may not make any difference.
I really, really hope I am wrong.
You can try root + market enabler, it is a solution.
How about just pushing the Market APK to your phone? If your phone has a browser, you should be able to do a quick search at 4shared: http://search.4shared.com/q/1/vending apk just choose the newest one, download and install

Seems like I can find it in appbrain but when i try to install from there it say url not found. I have ran into this issue with a lot of apps that I have been trying to download. Let me know if this is a know issue or something specific to me. I am running VEGAn rom
Did you do the Market hack? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=845175
Hi, have been switching roms lately...alot of good ones out there.
BUT, it seems the lates flashback 7.2 is causing a few problems with market,
or I think my problem is also a problem with market.
I get a google talk authentication msg...AND I can not seem to sync
with market. It is showing my last rom as my device...and I can not
find anyway to update my device. Everytime I try to download anything,
and I mean anything from market, I get a download error.
My last rom recoginized by market is bright corners...
any thoughts?
thanks
Ken
I recently restored my tablet because i have to send it back to sony for a repair (headphone jack was faulty) and i tried to reinstall some basic every day use apps, but google talk seems to be missing from the market?
I searched the market on my laptop to be sure it was gone, and i cannot find it. can anyone else see if they can confirm this so i don't seem like a mad man?
I couldn't find it in the market either because I believe that's an app that's preinstalled only; some vendors have deals with yahoo, etc., and do not want google talk preinstalled or even available. It is, however, presintalled on the tablet since apparently I have it on mine. It's listed under "talk," not "google talk" so maybe there's the error as well. Let us know what you find out!

With es file manager you can copy the .apk file from /system/apps/
Hello!
I currently live in Beijing and just recently purchased a ZTE U795. It's a formidable phone, and quite cheap too.
I've gotten everything to work well, found a ROM on some Chinese site and managed to install it. The only problem is that I can't get the market to work, or Google Play for that matter. I thought perhaps that through a VPN I could manage to connect but VPN doesn't work.
Really I have two questions, is there a replacement to the built-in VPN system, is there some sort of app that can replace the default VPN system?
Or, is there some sort of work around to not being able to use Google Play on Chinese Androids?
What I've tried:
Modded Market
Market Enabler
Google Play + Google Frameworks + Google Account Settings (This got me the closest, I started putting my e-mail in, but it just wouldn't connect)
Market
What happens when I open Play Store:
Unfortunately Google Play Store has stopped.
Apart from that, if anybody is interested about the phone, don't hesitate to ask!
