Friend offering to sell me his off contract for $375, is that a good deal? Im currently on a DINC, love it but this seems like a good deal. Longtime lurker but now my first post!
Thanks for everyone's help!
Well, its about a month old at the worst, and a new one is $500 - $550, doesn't seem like a bad deal, check ebay and craigslist also to get a gage on pricing..
If i sell my DINC that could help bring the cost down. The thunderbolt just seems to be the successor to the DINC as far as community development in my opinion.
Great deal for off contract, since you wouldn't be tied into 2 years.
Definitely grab it. You can sell you DINC for 175-250 on eBay, so that's a steal!
Thanks everyone for your input, talked him down to 350 and went for it. I'm now a thunderbolt owner!

Nice deal. That's not much more than I paid for mine on contract.
not a bad price
i gave 340 for a new one last week with 1 year contract so thats a good deal. i have a fascinate, incredible and moto x for sale.
picked mine up new without box for 250, sold my fascinate for 200. got a great deal
Pretty decent deal. I love this phone but I am glad it was only 220 for me on a one year contract.

For a Thunderbolt? That is a great deal. Take it and put it on eBay if you're not using it.
I sold my D2 for $166

looking to get a thunderbolt with a 2 year agreement for cheap, does anyone think the thunderbolt will be free soon with contract or any specials?
No. The thunderbolt will never be free. Or not for at least a year it is a flagship device. You will have to wait quite a while for it to be free on contract.

Currently the only free smartphone in verizon is the Motorola Citrus with a 2 year contract. I wouldn't touch that phone with a 10 foot pole.
Any luck on craigslist in your area?
I think Amazon is around $149 now. Wirefly is $129.
I got mine from Amazon when they first came out for less.
So who took advantage of this? I personally got myself two ASUS tablets, One for me, one for the lady for Christmas. :] And I only got into one fight. But....I'll never go out at midnight again. Nightmare. Anyway. Hope you guys scored some killer deals. The tablet cost me $250
I usually wait til after Christmas... Better deals

I got a 250GB Xbox for $200. They ram out of the holiday bundles and these ones were supposed to ring up at $299. I guess I got lucky. I'm thinking about getting a Kinect. Not really sure if I want one though.

With the Xoom 2 coming out around holidays the Xoom 1 should see a huge price drop. I'm going to try to score one they should be between 199.99-250.00. What made me laugh the most about black Friday is apple supposedly thinks they're actually participating by knocking off only 100 bucks off computers. I bought my MacBook pro in June for like 1400 bucks; yeah a 100 bucks off is really a deal :rolls eyes:
Apple is a joke

Wow what s sweet deal man. Congrats
Bahaha, thanks! The price was the biggest reason I chose the Photon over the EpicTouch. Coulda got the ET with a free BluRay player from BestBuy too lol, but I was like, dude I live in a trailer in the boonies with no TV so what am I gonna do with a bluray player???
I could use that signal boost everyone is bragging about too. I'm gonna save up and get the dock too.
My GF has an epic touch 4G and its trash. The radio is **** and the phone isn't that impressive. God I hate Samsung phones...
Coming from the Epic I'm inclined to agree with you. I don't think it's all bad, but the lack of Samsung support coupled with having to search for developer apps and roms to fix problems affecting basic operations is a big turndown. The only saving-grace it had over the Photon was the damn keyboard, but that didn't even hold me back anymore after I saw what un-impressive features GB brought to it. They didn't even bother fixing problems we've had since EB13 and we're on EI22 now...!
I got lucky as hell today. Went into bestbuy around noon today to pick up a nook tablet and found that $250 Asus tablet instead. Last one they had and it was buried under a couple nooks. Lol what luck. Wanted one of these for a while now
God I'm glad to be on this phone. Had the original Dinc way back in the day, upgraded to the DInc2 the day it came out. Grabbed the Rezound on launch day too, but since then I've been through a total of 8 replacement Rezounds, all for various reasons. I missed the form factor of the Dinc2, the Rezound was big and heavy. Bought the Dinc4G on launch day at full retail, and man am I glad I did. Phone is super responsive, battery time is so much better, and the camera is far snappier. It fits in my pocket better, doesn't get hot, and call quality is fantastic.
If you are on the fence about this device, grab it and don't look back.
Just ordered mine online for 20 bucks on letsdeal... I can't wait to recieve coming from a thunderbolt

yeah, but as far as full price goes, $499 is pretty good
True. I was actually expecting $549.99, so the true price made buying it outright just a bit easier.

what did it come out to after taxes an all that?
prob close to the $540.
actually not bad when you consider what you are getting.
my dad actually traded in two old Icrapples, and paid like $100 to get the inc4 full price.
he is def happy, and he is hard to please, but once I show him how android can be edited to whatever he wants he will be sold, i think he already is. inc4 kicks ass.
Did you really post in the last 10 threads?

I noticed that last night! I'm about to get a price adjustment!
Its not exclusive to AT&T anymore that's why the price for it went down. Plus its refurbished but its a good deal if you don't need to have the latest and greatest. Oh yeah, the Note 2 will unveil soon also.
-Once you go NOTE, you'd say 4 inches a Joke
NOTE user:
"take a deep breath, make sure to get a good look at it, relax and slowly take it in, the size is overwhelming at first but you will have a happy ending afterwards".
Woman:
I checked this morning and its back to the $99 price. It was $49 as of last night, guess the sale is over.
Bought mine last Friday at 50. Nuked gingerbread into flapjaxx jellbean and I am loving it!

Still a good deal at $99 IMHO
The note 1 is far from a second class device when compared to the note 2...
We have yet to see the outcome of reduced resolution and battery life ...
I'd buy this device again in a second ...g
If you do a general search online, you'll find pretty much any phone for $0.01, but with a 2 YEAR CONTRACT! We need prices without a 2 year contract

No, YOU need a price without a contract. Many people appreciate this info and only buy this way. Many people cannot afford to buy a phone off contract. Including me.... BTW good luck finding this phone for .01
I have been watching the prices, it dropped to 29.99 this weekend as part of the black Friday sale. Mine will be here Monday!

I am shocked that the price for the G2 has dropped for a phone that just came out on 9/12

Amazon will do that a lot even with brand new phones. I can't say that I'm surprised to be honest...

Same goes for Note 3... it's really not that crazy. Amazon wants you to buy through them, so they beat other prices even on new phones sometimes. Amazon is awesome like that

Just shocking that the price came down that fast. To think I paid full retail for mine so I could keep my unlimited data.
In Singapore, a few days ago, it was about 730 dollars. It's 715 today with free OTG, screen protector and official LG window case. I'm getting a brand new one for 650 without the freebies. It would have been 700 couple of days ago. But I'm not complaining.

Who is this shocking to? Anyone who had any slight of a experiences in buying an LG device should have known that.
This was exactly the case with the Optimus G and the G pro. Hey even the HTC One went down in price the first month.
Shocking? No not really

I was reading a lot of posts on the Verizon Community form that there is a bad batch of G2's out there where folks have not been able to use their phone due to a bad SIM. I bought mine day 1 and I have not had any issues.
Par for the course, welcome to getting a phone as soon as it comes out. You wanna play early your gonna pay.

Right. Only phones that don't do that are Apple's but we already know why they don't discount any of their merchandise
I got my GS3 for $149.99 from Radioshack about a month after its release.
Note that this is the case for subsidized pricing which is simply the retailer cutting into their margin since the carrier kicks something back for the new contract or re-up. You never see msrp come down like this.

Samsung Note3 was launched in India for INR49990 with in 15 days the price has come down to INR47990. what's the big deal. if the product is good & the user is satisfied, it's worth the money else even for free, the phone is not worth it.
amazon does penny phones that are brand new too. when the dna came out, I think, or the rezound, one of them, it was a penny like a month after it came out... and they were both high end phones at the time. why is anyone complaining that there's a price drop?
hell, from day one if you went to Verizon online and used their 30 percent off code, the phone was only 140, which is what I paid for it.
