[Q] How to remove Telstra Boot Animation from SBF 4.1.42? - Atrix 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
Just wondering if anyone here has had experience in removing the boot animation? I specificially want to remove the Telstra bloat animation. I actually like the red animated Moto symbol and want to keep that if possible.
Cheers in advance!

I think this is what you are referring to

might try it out myself. There was a new boot for one of the droids that I wanted to try out, if not grab one from here.

Motorola Atrix 4G Boot Animation, Wallpapers, Ringtones

Hey everybody, got some wallpapers, ringtones, and a boot animation from the Motorola Atrix 4G. Enjoy!
I think the boot animation should work on most devices. I tested it out on my Samsung Captivate. I promise it's more impressive on the phone than in my video below. My camera doesn't capture dark colors well.

I've modified the desc.txt file from the bootanimation.zip file so that it loads the red logo only.
If you place it in the system/media folder, it should work properly.

If you want to just install the red logo boot animation, you need to root your device and buy Root explorer to install the bootanimation.zip file in the System/Media folder.
There are other methods explained somewhere, I don't remember where.
Looks cool will give it a shot thanks.
Thank u very much.
I'm downloading....
I have to say, the time of showing white screen with "Rethinking xxxx" is toooooooo long.
Red Moto logo is very beautiful.
My phone is rooted and i have root explorer, but its not working...

Same problem, I have used Super Manager to move the bootanimation.zip file into my system/media folder and then attempted to reboot.
My phone boots normally, without the new boot animation.
Any ideas?
very nice Bootanimation.
It looks nice on my Defy but the Phone is a little bit to fast for it.
just the red Moto logo would be perfect for me ...
but, thanks anyway ...
Link is dead Please re-upload ringtones.
Has anybody a golden colored Status bar or tell me how to make one?

So hard to find good wallpapers (deviantart is full of cr**, pardon me) and Motorola usually offers real goodies! Thx

Black bar for bell?

Is there a way to get ourselves a black bar on our bell atrix's? I know we can deodex our systems but are there any black bar themes that work? All the ones I see require a att atrix. Just curious does metamorph work on our atrix?

I want this as well, I will keep an eye on this thread

Wait...there's a deodexed framework for the Bell Atrix? I only saw it for the AT&T one. Yeah...all of the themes are just for AT&T Now I'm kind of regretting I got Bell's Atrix instead of AT&T. We need someone with the Bell Atrix that knows how to code!!
That's a very simple mod to do. Have you tried it yourself? Fill statusbar_background.9.png with black in framework-res.apk. Edit status_bar.xml to change the text colour to white. I'm sure there are a lot of tutorials around for how to do that.

What do you mean by shutdown screen? The TV style animation or actually turning the phone off?
If it's the TV of thing when you press the power button, it isn't happening on anything that isn't a 2.3 rom.

For anyone else interested, this changes the boot animation to show "Android" in silver letters. It's not the Nexus S boot animation as shown here

its not just a custom boot ani, if you look in the /media/video/shutdown folder you will find the shutdown animation images. Not sure why the phone doesnt handle shutdown animations the same way it handles boot animations but its there. Now of course it would only work on roms that support the shutdown animation.

Boot animation /boot logo changing.

How to make a boot animation/boot image? Like replace the LG logo, and the Rom animation. A point to a guide or tut would be appreciated. Thank you
Sent from my VM670 using XDA App
To change the lg stuff is going to be pretty tough i link. Thats not part of the rom and might have to be done with like cdma tools or something.
But changing the goot animation is easy, just download the animation you want (make sure the resolution on its not to big) and paste it in the system/media folder on your phone with root explorer or something.
here is a link to the guide cyanogenmod wiki points to.
good luck with your project!

p.s. a forum search here will lead you to a lot more info on boot animations and some samples.

Even easier to place it to /data/local without any root required.
I wonder about this too. The bootanimation.zip is just that, the boot animation and doesn't even require root access to change. however, the manufacturer animation that comes before it I would like to change. I am running CM7 and would like to change the static red LG logo for the 'electron beam' animated one used in virtually every other rom, including the stock firmware. Wonder if anyone could just make a flashable zip to do this. I'm looking at wiki article and while I feel confident I could do it, it looks like a brick waiting to happen!
Thanks guys I got a new boot another and just replaced the obedience. Data /local and it plays just fine:3

the ROM animation is easy you can either get a existing animation zip and rename and replace the bootanimation.zip with root explorer depending on where it is stored in your ROM if you want to make your own the animation is not a video it is a series of png files so you can make one yourself im not sure about the order just take a existing bootanimation.zip and unzip it and take a look

[Q] [Request] Star Wars Boot Animation

Could someone please make a bounty hunter star wars boot animation to use on a at&t galaxy s2 i777. CN the clone wars bounty hunters would be cool or death watch.
You could try the one from here. Don't know if it'll work though.

Here ya go, you can try this. Its not a boot animation, its only a simple lightsaber sound file that will play on boot up. Use Root Explorer or similar app and go into /system/etc and look for PowerOn.wav and rename it to PowerOn.bak then move this one into /system/etc and reboot. If you don't already have a PowerOn.wav don't worry, just put this one in. You may see 1_Power_on.ogg but you shouldn't need to mess with it. This may get you by until you find a full animation. I use it all the time and really dig it. I also did a Beavis and Butthead charger connection if your interested.
I might be able to make one for ya after work.

Our phone is android just like those ones. It would work, but the cwm zip won't and the animation could need resizing.
