I have a g1 and would like to use it as a bluetooth gps. I can pair them but can get the gps to connect. Plaese help.

I want to use a bluetooth gps with my hero. i can pair the hero with the bluetooth gps, but i can't connect with it.
I know that there is a gps in the hero, but i want to use this app:

Which is far more accurate with an external unit on a track. Moreover, my car as a athermical windshield, and i would like to put the bluetooth unit in the back of the car to avoid signal cut.
The app use this add on to exploit external gps unit: bluetooth gps service: but in the description of the app we can read: htc hero not support bluetooth gps.
In my search on google, i could read that htc devices doesnt support SPP profile.
Any chance to find something to make it work??

Try to use Nokia LD-3W on my z-pad.
Z-pad system is honeycomb.
Can pair but can't connect.

This is normal. You will need to install another application that can actually speak GPS. I use BlueGPS4Droid. It is at http://sourceforge.net/p/bluegps4droid/home/Home/.

Does anyone know what app (widget) can specifically connect the tablet to the Phone's bluetooth tether? one click?

Did you ever find anything? I installed BT Auto Connect. It can connect when Bluetooth is turned on. So you just need to toggle BT. But I am also looking for something for when I walk away with my phone, I don't want to have to turn off BT then turn it back on.

I had a ipod touch and used a gps bluetooth receiver along with a btstack app. It work fine with tomtom. Can I use this gps receiver with the Gear S?
Nope. It only have BT headset profile support. BT GPS receivers won't show up at all.
