On andryns ec01 bln worked fine with jt1134's kernel here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1010102 Im using the most updated one with bln free. It says my liblights are not installed but kernel s up to date. Ive done some research and found there is a flash file to correct this but im not sure itll work for the fascinate here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=813389.
Can anyone tell me if i flash that it will fix my issue? BLN isnt working at all for me at this point. I was just going to ignore it but after seeing the .zip file for the i9000 it makes me think theres an easy solution.
At the moment my rom is evil fascination, thanks for your help.
It works. I had the same issue with bln, flashed that file, and then it started working again.

Hey, a question...
I flashed the 2.8v, which I thought included the EB16 kernal, but the phone still says EB01 on the "About phone" thingie in Settings. Now, I just flashed the EB16 voodoo zip file on the first page of Adrynl's thread...it still says EB01.
I'm running fine, GREAT, really, but justr wondering where to look so I know I have the EB16 running, and if I am still on EB01, then....why?
Thanks guys, and thanks Adrynl for the fantastic work.
Jeff
You are on EB16 unless you flashed the EB01 kernal after installing SC2.8v.
The only way to check which kernel you are on is by running a command.
Check out post 2178 in the superclean thread (page 218).

not having any problem so i am not complaining, just curious.

Jan 2... that would be closer to DL30. Did you come from a DL30 version of Super Clean?
Just to make it confusing for you all:
There are currently 6 kernels floating around. EB01 voodoo and non-voodoo, EB16 voodoo and non-voodoo (included with SC2.8), and another set of EB16 voodoo and non-voodoo kernels that were an attempt to fix all the conversion problems (but at the same time introduced a BT bug).
Depending on which kernel you have, you might be getting a different result for the date. It depends on which files they used for that kernel.
If you find that you aren't on the kernel you thought you were, but you are happy with its performance, you might want to think about just sticking with the kernel you have since there isn't a huge difference between them. Everything will get sorted out soon enough.
I'm currently running EB01 with stoc EC10 with no problems. I want to either run EC10 undervolt or the new standard volt over clocKed. This issue is the only way i can flash them is with SGS Kernel flasher. CWM (Red) will not let me flash the new Kernels. After I install any new Kernel with SGS it runns fine and then freezes the device.
How do i relsolve?
I would suggest stepping back and figuring out why cwm isn't working. Do you have the new CWM that JT released(works with all kernels and voodoo)- linked here I think is the newest one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=948722 ?
If not that may be your issue. If you do then that's odd because I have it and don't have the problem with flashing EC10 kernels.
Your not the first. I was fine on adrynlynns kernal then I went to JTs kernal and thats what happened. Went back to adrynlynns kernal and im fine again.
Stock EC10 = adryn's or jt's from source?
Also, do you have voodoo enabled? Are you flashing voodoo or nonvoodoo kernels?
BUt yeah, I think the first step would be to figure out why your CWM is messed up.
If all fails maybe follow one of the tutorials and Odin/Heimdall back to the basics. And go step by step from there.
From EB01 with SC 2.9.2 to EC10
I've checked around and can't seem to find why I'm not able to flash the EC10 kernel. As stated in the title, I'm currently running EB10 with Superclean 2.9.2.
When I boot into recovery, install from SD Card, and select the EC10 ROM from my SD Card (this one from JT - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1010102), it appears to install, says complete, but after rebooting I still show EB10.
Any help greatly appreciated!
You might actually be running the kernel
go into terminal (or download one from market)
type:
su
{Press enter}
cat /proc/version
{press Enter}
You will see:
Linux Version 2.6.32.9 (kernel author@virtualbox) (gcc version 4.4.1 (yada yada yada) COMPILE DATE
If that compile date is the date the the author released the kernel you are running it. If not....sorry but someone else is going to have to help because I'm sleepy and going to bed =)

You are correct Sir! Thanks for your help! I guess I'll ignore the reading then.
What's getting me lately is battery life. I've been through the fully drain, fully charge stuff and still seem to lose about 40-50% overnight while the phone sits idle for 7-8 hours. Yes, it's a little off topic, but it seems like 10 or 15% loss overnight would be normal, correct?
Okay I've posted about this before, but still can't figure it out...
My issue is this: When I install a GB rom, everything runs fine until my screen goes off.... its even fine if it goes off for a second, but if it sits for more than one second it reboots. A full reboot. I've tried both GB kernels, as well as MR 2 and 2.5. I've also tried using setcpu to set the minimum all the way up to 1.4GHz with no help.
Can someone help me fix this screen off issue? PLEASE?
Seems to have something with the dip in processor speed because when my phone is downloading from the market or signing in to google, or doing anything for that matter... the problem doesnt occur.
I don't really accept that I can't use Gingerbread because of this... there HAS to be a fix.
Thanks yall
What gingerbread roms have you tried? Also, what kernels were you using?

don't have this issue on Synergy 3.0 running the latest ziggy kernel
I've tried every GB rom on here, as well as both kernels
also, Ziggy kernel? You in the right section?
I would try wiping, then installing the setup in my signature, but don't restore any apps at first or sync with Google so they're downloaded automatically. I think that you've got an app and a kernel that's interfering with one another. Try the ROM bone stock before you start restoring apps and see if the problem is there.
Rooted Thunderbolt on BAMF Sense 3.0 RC 4 with MR2 radio and latest dreamKernel.

when you say both kernels are you referring to the radios? cause mr2 and mr.5 are radios not kernels

I share your pain with this exact problem. I have been doing all types of testing these last two days to see if there is any combination of ROMS and Kernals that would work for me.
I can flash any ROM I want, and the only Kernal that I can successfully use is this one:
Imoseyan GB Stock Kernal
With this Kernal, I can use my phone all I want, let the screen go black, hit the lock screen button and I have never had a reboot.
I have run Thunderstick, BAMF 2.1, BAMF 3.0, Gingertheory, with this kernal and it will run fine.
When I change to any of these Kernals, I get the constant reboots when my screen goes off, just like the OP described.
* Imoseyon Lean Test
* Imoseyon 184mhz
* Imoseyon USBfix
* Imoseyon 2.5.3 test 7
* Nerozehl's dreamkernal 2.3.2
Of course, when flashing any ROMS and Kernal combinations, I would do a complete wipe before doing so. I should also mention that I am using MR2 radio. I can also use MR2.5 with the GB Stock Kernal and it runs fine.
So like the OP, it seems to be something to do with the kernal that my phone does not like and can't figure out. Anything other than the stock kernal, and my phone will constantaly reboot after the screen goes black.
I should also mention that I have used the speektweah.sh in terminal emulator and tried all of the different voltage settings and it had no effect. Also disabled it and tried using SetCPU and no luck either.
I have also tried all of the ROMS without allowing any apps to update by skipping the google account sign in. So basically all of the ROMS were running in their native state, and the outcome would be the same.
FOR THE OP
Try running the stock kernal and let us know if that works for you. You should just be able to flash it in CWM, reboot and you will know right away if it is working correctly.
The real question I need to figure out is this. What is different about the GB Stock Kernal from all the others that would be having this impact on our phones?
I've tried all of this except installing the above kernel. I'll give that a shot, thanks.
As for installing without apps, I've tried that. Tried everything. Lets hope the stock kernel works!
I've been running Das BAMF Gingerstripped with Imo's kernel and never had this issue. It sounds like maybe something is bad with the cpu profiling becoming unstable when screen-off profiles kick in.

I can confirm that this one worked for me too. Synergy 3.0 running Ziggy's Kernal and everything works well.
Anyone know where to grab just the Kernal? Can't seem to find the latest download.
I should also add, that when I do flash the Stock GB kernal so that my ROM will be stable.... my camera freezes everytime I try to take a picture. Happens in every ROM I mentioned above. However, it works fine before I flash the stock kernal.
running "stock kernel" it looks to be fixed. Looks like I tried this before as I already had the file but.... works now for some reason
Thanks.
Will report back if it ****s up
I would post this in the dev forum, but it won't let me
I was running Task650's KME ROM and I went to install the pershoot kernel. I noticed after I installed that, I could not get anything to install from the market. I am not sure if it happened before the kernel switch or not. I flashed over to Starburst, and I am still having the problem.
I read that it was related to Google Talk for quite a few people so I went to make sure I could log in there, and I can't. I tried re-rooting, and that didn't help. I can't find much more that I should try.
tia
Weird.... I installed Blazar and it works now. Went back to Task650 and reinstalled pershoot, and it STILL works. Not sure what fixed it.
I just got my Rezound and got it perm rooted and tried unsucessfully to make wifi tethering work.
I then tried to install CWM and all seemed fine but Wifi stopped working.
When I enabled Wifi I would get scanning then error.
I hard reset it and now I simply got an error.
I am not using a custom Kernal unless CWM installed one (I kind of doubt it)
Please help.

My WiFi is also broken. I'm perm root with Ziggy's kernel (Vigor GB Kernel) and Ching'ys rom (Ineffabilis v1.0). In Ziggy's thread it states that the WiFi error is due to the rom, not the kernel. Chingy's thread states that the WiFi error is due to the kernel not the rom. there are people using stock kernel and Chingy's rom with working WiFi.There are people using Ziggy's kernel on stock rom with WiFi working.Ii have tried wiping and re flashing. Still nothing. Anyone help would be great!!

If you have an Error under your wifi in settings, that means that you need to reflash the kernel. You will generally need to reflash the kernel AFTER the rom to get the wifi to work.
I have heard that its related to the Kernal not the Rom in all my readings. Unfortunately that does nothing for me since I havent changed the kernal or the rom all I have done install CWM and tried to get Wifi Tethering working. It broke sometime when I did those two things.
Have you gone back to stock on the Kernal? I have heard all over the place that people are having boot loops and wifi errors with Ziggy's Kernal. If you continue to have problems I would try the Kernal. I have never heard that a ROM has broken Wifi.

BTW I am going to try RUU now to see if I can get it working by going back to stock.
