Hey guys, I installed for a few days the Photon CM9 build and I absolutely loved it. The only problem I had was that it seemed to consume battery way too fast (and I calibrated it several times to make sure it was done properly)
It would drain around ~20-25% overnight. I don't know if anyone else is facing similar issues? And if you are, what steps did you take to remedy it? (As much as I appreciate nottach's work on TDS, I cannot go back to Gingerbread anymore )
HI all,
i've flashed yestarday the AOKP and I think that is almost perfect. The biggest problem is that battery discharge really too fast.
What do you suggest me for this problem? Is CyanogenMod 10 better then aokp?
Thanks
You can only try roms and look to your apps that may waste battery .

Its not necassirily a problem with your ROM, Install BBS (BetterBatteryStats) from the playstore and find out what is consuming your battery, pay inparticular attention to any wakelocks. Although I am on a TW based rom I too had this I reflashed the ROM and this resolved my problem, If it is a wakelock find out whats causing it.

U should wait for a cpl of battery re-charge cycles for now to get good batt life, also try to turn off auto sync, location service, wifi/data when not in use
2) can i customize my lock screen to show notifications?

jb based ROMs sometimes are affected with the media scanner issue. Should flash another jb based ROM and see what happens; or else go stock jb leak.

You shoudl check roms thread see if others have and if there is a solution. If not downgrade to previous version try re-flashing rom/kernel etc or try other rom.
In the past few months my battery life has been terrible. I can't seem to figure out why.
I've bough 3 new original Samsung batteries but that didn't help either.
I've just flashed to the new Cyanogen rom but the drain still continues.
I get around 5.5 hours of battery when idle.
Any suggestions as to what I should do?
If I won't be able to solve it I'll probably have to buy a new handset which I really want to avoid doing.
Thanks in advance
Same issue with my s2 and I m still searching the answer
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
Same problem, I fixed it by flashing roms and kernels.
I don't want to make ad but Slimbean unoffical from FusionJack (click on my sig)
and Dorimanx kernel is the best. and i used the app Greenify from the playstore
I hope it works
i m having battery prob it continuously drain whether we use it or not...
so i changed the battery but still same prob...
is this H/W issue or what?
I also have The same battery low problem...... its so frustrating....
Check your rom and kernal as life of battery greatly depends on good combination of both of them.
If possible try flashing your phone with stock ics or gb rom ftf and then any of the custom rom or kernal which you are using.
This would solve your problem i hope because if there is any problem with rom then it will be solved automatically
Also note that the stock GB rom with baseband 62 is best for battery and reception.
i have the exact same problem. My phone drains the battery way too fast 6% per hour or so while standby.
It seems to be a hardware problem of xperia neo v. The phone will also drain its battery even while the phone is shutted down. It doesnt matter which kernel you use or rom.
The only reccomendation i can give you is to stay with stock (gingerbread prefered). That is because stock drains battery slower than custom roms.
For gb i reccomend gin2kitkat and for ics anything you like as long as it uses sony firmware. As for kernels there is not much of a difference.
