[PLEASE HELP] Original State of all SD Card Files from X10i
Would like to delete my SD card.
And then restore the original state.

Can someone please help me?
How or where can I get the files from?
Maybe someone can also make the files as a download?
You can format it, and then Android will make by itsef all the necessаry files and folders.
I want all the original data / folder back on my SD card have.
How was the sale of the phone. Original condition upon purchase.
I will format my SD Card.
But then I want original files (which were buying it) again to copy to the SD Card.
format SD and then do software reset of the phone with SE PC Companion.
Phone will be same as from shop (with up to date aps and OS)

This is for STOCK ROM/FW Remove sd card from phone format card on PC/Mac with card reader leave card out of phone Do a Factory reset on phone reboot wait for it to fully boot up opt out all setups then turn off phone reinstall sd card to phone reboot.
If you are rooted just use Xrecovery format sd card ONLY and do a factory reset reboot.
You can do the stock mode too. My guess is you are selling your phone but if not check the forums to get back to stock rom/apps because this will only reset and will NOT replace deleted apps. You can do a SU repair to maybe get some deleted apps back.
Which if selling you should also do after formating and factory reset just to be sure.
You can also reflash your firmware right after formating your sd card
JUST DO NOT FORMAT THE PHONE JUST YOUR SD CARD ONLY
DOING ALL THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK
Doing this works for me but may not for you
ALSO these forums can help for stock roms, fws, mods an apps.

Hi,
I have had my Hero for quite a while now and have the Modaco 2.3 rom on it and I am noticing my phone getting a bit laggy again. So what i want to do is transfer all my apps to my SD Card and upgrade to the latest Modaco ROM and also put on the RA-hero-v1.2.3 Recovery as this will be able to partition my SD card for me.
So this is the order I thought of doing everything:
Backup apps etc
Boot into the recovery program and do a wipe
Install the latest Modaco Rom
Install the RA-hero-v1.2.3 Recover
Partition SD CARD
Install all my apps on sd card
Is this correct or do I need to do something else?
you need to backup your apps and settings using MyBackUp Pro, Sprite or Backup For Root Users. The first to are paid apps the third is free... Free version can be got here:
http://www.androlib.com/android.application.com-bg-smsbk-zxq.aspx
After Backing up you need to copy your SD Card to your computer, partitioning your SD Card with RA-hero-v1.2.3 Recovery will to create the EXT3 will wipe the SD Card.
I would in this order:
1. Backup Apps and Data
2. Do a Nandroid Backup
3. Copy SD Card to the computer
4. Install RA-hero-v1.2.3 Recovery
5. Reboot phone
6. Boot back into the recovery program and do a wipe
7. Partition SD Card
8. Set USB mass storage to on in RA-hero-v1.2.3 Recovery
9. Copy computer Backup of SD Card back to the SD Card
10. Install the latest Modaco Rom
11. Update Radio to latest version
12. Reboot Phone
13. Re-install apps as required
hi
sorry to ask such a newbie question but what exactly does a new radio version effect?
thanks in advance

Later versions are usually better than previous versions giving better reception and such although this is sometimes operator dependant. Upgrade and see the difference you can always reinstall a previous version back over the upgrade if it doesn't suit your provider.

Thanks mate, i have a free weekend this week so will have some fun redoing my phone.
Any questions i will see if i can answer them....
running on stock 2.2
i have 2gb sd card
the internal memory cannot be read neither can the sd card
anyone know why?
i have the same problem, have you found a way around this?
Menu > Settings > SD/Phone Storage.
Can you unmount and mount? If so, do that and reboot.
If not, can your pc view them? if so, move everything to your pc for a backup... then on your phone format both and ODIN back to stock JFD..
no guarantees, but it may help.
"your phone does not have a sd card inserted" 5800
i have followed your instruction ..Menu > Settings > SD/Phone Storage.
still i'm not able to do unmount and mount because it is already disable.. i have rebooted my phone so many times but there is no change....
in my pc i can view my sd card data..
finally factory reset has been done....bt no change...

Join the club man. My vibrant has been down for over a month with the same issue. I can't fix it. I hope someone can figure out a fix. All the fixes people have posted haven't worked for me.
Sent from my SGH-T839 using xda premium
Same problem with my htc diamond Xda O2 phone. It has 4 gb internal memory but there is no way i could insert an SD card .. Any solution please?
While following s15274n's instructions did you reformat the SD cards?
Sent from my SGH-T959 (Samsung Vibrant)
I did a Support Chat with T-Mo just yesterday. They had me remove the SD card (I couldn't unmount either), reboot and then do Factory Data Reset with the card still removed. (Settings/Privacy/Factory Data Reset)
So far today it's been working fine. I should add that I was able to Odin back to Stock when the problems first appeared almost a month ago. (Stock blows)
I was changed stock 8 GB card to 16 GB / 10 class Patriot one. My X10 dont see card - in card info i see :
total space: unavaialbe
Available space: unavaialbe
Mount SD Card : : Insert an SD card for mounting
Format SD Card : Format (erase) the SD card
Last 2 options is unavailable.
On stock 2.1 firmware card is working normally - on recovery also. Problem is in CM - since I have X10 i use Wolfbreaks CM, but i tried to flash also Achotjan FreeXperia. On these roms card is not visible.
Stock kernel, BB54 and 67. I tried SDRescan - and it says "Completed" and nothing else.
Please help

Lol or he could post a it in the actual cm7 thread
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
just reflash new SE stock firmware to avoid any headed. and re-do from scratch...
My experience says that you will need to reformat your SD card. Even though stock and xrecovery can see it there is something wrong with it. If you mount it via USB does windows say there is a problem that it wants to repair (if you are using windows)?
I was posting here cose this is question about developing, If I posted in wrong section please move thread to right place.
I do reflash with seus at beginning - in 2.1 is working normally , but after changed system in xrecovery card dissapeard. (2 times - seus + different CM 6). And I also reformat card (fat32). I`m using Windows XP (but have also openSUSE).
Card was empty after format - so windows dont see any problems.
Make of my card is Patriot.
I install app - Multi Mount SD and when i mount card, PC normally see it. Only CM have problem with that.
Format the SD card and erase any other partition -if you have any.
I dont have any partitions, but i will try to delete and create main partition when i came back home (I need linux to do that, in work i have only windows xp). I tried one more time to format card (fat32) and nothing. Strange problem. Card work normally in memory reader, and in mass storage mode in X10.
In terminal on mount i dont see sdcard. I want to try mount it manually but i dont know what`s name of device is memory card. (sda1 , sda2 or...). Did anyone know (or want to check it in mount?) ?
I see card0 it is cardreader from X10 ?

You don't need Linux, there's a free Windows Program (MiniTool Partition Wizard).
But since you haven't partitioned your card in the past, I doubt that this will solve your issue.
Try backing up your data and formatting the SD card.
Then insert it in the phone, see if it works are copy your data back.
Good luck!
Also, you can mount the SD card in xRecovery and see if it works.
I formatted card 2 or 3 times with no results. In recovery card is working normally - i install CM in xrec from this card

For everyone with card problems - format sd with XRECOVERY on X10 not with PC. Card is visible on Ahchotjan.

I rooted my Motorola Triumph and did a LOT of customization to it and ended up needing to go ahead and put the stock ROM back on it. Somehow in doing this, my phone isn't working and I'm not sure what to do at this point. I got almost to where I was going to recover and restart, but I got this code:
Checking MD5 sums...
MD5 mismatch!
I downloaded Eclipse and got everything I need (I think..) including SDK and ADB stuff
I tried mounting my phone to my computer via the CWM boot menu, but that isn't working and I'm just not sure where to go from here...
HELP PLEASE!?
1. Place the rom on your SD card via the card reader on your PC
2. Re-insert it in the device
3. Boot into recovery
4. Do a full wipe of data and cache
5. Flash.
Is there another option if I don't have a card reader?

You have to be able to place the rom on your SD card. You could place the SD card in another device to transfer it from your PC then re-insert it in your phone (just use any way you possible to place the rom on the SD card).
I want to redo my phone like I just got it. I'm going re-flash everything with either the stock rom or a custom rom. What needs to be on the original card? Like starting from new without all the cluttered folders and random files.
I have updated ie. Hboot 1.5, radios, 2.17 and S-off still.
You should make a backup of your SD card "its always nice to have a backup"
--Side Note--
Also I suggest making a nandroid backup before backing up your SD card so you will have a copy of a recent nandroid in your SD backup incase you have to restore it one day.
--End Side Note--
""Warning"" if you do this and still have applications on your phone/current Rom that have placed folders/that are linked to/on the SD card you could experience force closes, app freezes etc. To fix this uninstall and reinstall the application.
""End of Warning"'
This can be done via Windows 7,Vista,xp.
Format your SD VIA pc/laptop and restore it to the factory defaults. Then put it back into your phone. Then boot up. Once booted into your Rom hit menu then choose settings. Then scroll down to "SD & phone storage" and tap on it. Then unmount the SD card. Then format the SD card. Once its done formating it will automatically mount the SD card and place the correct folders on it. Reboot afterwards and you should be good to go. Hope this helps.

^^^^ What he said.
If you are going to do a factory reset or a rom flash, you should be ok wiping the card. If you were to try to wipe the card with the current rom you are on, you will run into problems as all your apps will freak out when they see their data missing.
And you don't need to have anything on the sd card from the start. Wipe the card, then flash your new rom and put the card in, android should format it properly the first time. It will just add the required folders/paths that it needs.
