Would be interesting to see how well it works.
You can get swype currently from their site, if you miss swipe, has a couple bugs on TB but works fairly well.

Im still using swype but it bugs me that I have to use handscent to get the auto caps and auto spacing to work for texting.
Maybe htc purposely built their messaging app this way so people wouldnt want swype and would look for an alternative?
HTC phones are also the only phones you need to switch swype off then reselect it to get it to work after a reboot.
FlexT9 works perfect in the mean time. Seems to do the same stuff, but FlexT9 has handwriting recognition + swype + voice input + QWERTY + Compact QWERTY.

Nope, Swype did that on the OG Droid as well. Was one of the reasons I stopped using it. Using Flex T9 now and loving it.
I've been playing with that on the doubleshot port. It's cool.

Would there be any way to port just this mod to the Thunderbolt? I'm using a modded version of Swype that works great but I think this would be even better.

I messed around with that on my Symbian phones. They had a trial version of SPD, but it didn't do anything for me.
Since I've been on Android, I've used pretty much all the major launchers and try to keep up with the new ones.

Apparently Google wasn't very happy that we finished before them but ICSL will be back on the market soon and in the meantime you can find all updates and release information on the site http://syndicateapps.com/main/ICS_Launcher.html
We've been making a lot of changes in the last week to get the dock and app drawer to look more like the video on engadget so stay tuned

ADW question
I have a custom dock and icon pack that is in a zipped file. The instructions say to "The docks and icons in the folders meant for custom launcher such as launcherpro, adw launcher, go launcher and so on. Don't apply with cwm! Just extract the zip file in desktop." but not much else...
How do you get ADW EX to recognize this package? THNX

Yes, I am running on my LG Optimus V. It has run smoothly so far (one fc, minor) but does have a minor issue with the app drawer. On the LG, the screen is kind of small and the apps extend up into the header area (Apps | Widgets) and the lower bar doesn't show up at all. Doesn't seem to matter much to me, I am pretty happy with it and think the guys did a great job on it. HCL looks pretty cool too.
This launcher works great on the Atrix, the devs are doing a great job and they've promised an ICS lockscreen for this week.
Keep an eye on their thread/site this is going to rock even more soon!

Has anyone else noticed that while using the Swype keyboard it us not possible to enter numbers in payment fields on the internet?
Example: I go to transfer money from one bank account to another. Where I enter the dollar amount i can not input numbers unless I switch keyboards, but I can put in other characters.
This being said, I am able to enters numbers into other areas with my Swype keyboard "1234567890"...see? It works here, so why not where I'll actually use it? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Not a problem for me, but i'm on a custom ROM, so browser/android version/swype version is likely different. Are you rooted? Why note install the beta? It's probably more up to date than what you're using.
I uninstalled the version that came with the phone and downloaded the beta. It installed the tablet version of Swype, which had a different configuration and smaller keys in portrait mode.
I tested the issue you described and I don't have it. I can enter numbers fine in Ebay fields. The tablet version automatically switched to a number pad actually.
Yeah, I'm rooted and OCed thanks to DA_G's threads.
I think I'll try out the tablet version. Thanks guys.

Ive tried and tried with no luck, I keep getting parse error.
I had the same problem. Had to clear data from installer, then uninstall, then finally try again. After the second time it worked.
Over 10000!!! You bet I am.
yea same error here, but i got it to work by doing the same thing
On the Swype beta faq page it mentions the parse error. They say that it means the connection is having issues and recommend switching from data to wifi, or vice versa. They also say a third party browser may be interfering

Yea i finally installed a custom rom and it worked, swype is da bomb.
so anyone else hating the new swype beta? adding words to the dictionary automatically is good but find its recognition of simple words to be really poor meaning 2/3 goes sometimes for something like 'do'.
anyone else having similar issues?
i restored my backup of previous Swype but that was fc'ing and the installer i have for it only installs the new beta version.
even with these issues though it's still so much faster than any other keyboard so I'm kinda just putting up with it and hoping they update it soon to fix these issues.

I actually love the original HTC keyboard. Once I got used to having the arrows I didn't know how I ever got along without them. I recently flashed over to Liquid ICS a few days ago and were missing them. Try downloading SwiftKey 3 and giving that a go (go into the options to enable the arrows). I find this keyboard to be PRETTY similar to the HTC one, although there are differences. I'm liking it so far.
It will probably need some tweaking then. I noticed newt said it would need to be ported to work.

Thanks will be trying this once I get the ROM finally working right. My old HTC IME keyboard I used on CM7 ( a themed htc sense keyboard from a dev here) was still in my settings when I flashed the ICS rom (think I missed something) and would pop up and work for the first two keystrokes before it crashed. I have looked at every keyboard out there and still prefer the HTC one over all else (just works for me). If I can get the ROM working correctly I will try out the one you posted here thanks!
