I'm rooted running debloated/debinged EB01 with SC 2.9.2 nonvoodoo and nitsuj's Gingerbread theme. I have been running SC themeless for a while now and never had a problem, but recently flashed over a theme and now none of my widgets will update i.e. music, clocks, feeds, weather etc. I've tried reflashing SC and then the theme a few times and still no solution. Could it maybe be the theme thats stopping the syncing? Won't work with auto-sync on or off and most widgets won't even manually update... I just remembered that I read it was not necessary to wipe cache/dalvik before flashing theme, just do it right over superclean... Maybe this is the cause?
I'm not an android/rooting noob but its my first time posting here after a lot of lurking, if there's a thread that covers this already I would appreciate a link.
EDIT: reflashed SC then a different theme and everything works flawlessly. That gingerbread theme must not like my Fascinate

The new Community ROM has a lot of Gingerbread theming in it. I flashed over SC 2.9.2 without a data wipe and have been running fine so far. My last data wipe was a couple of weeks ago.

Hey everyone so I just loaded both Bionix V/TW and Bionix V and i am having trouble downloading and installing apps from the market.
Is there anyone else that is having this same problem or is it me?
A few apps i tried to install were; Facebook for android, angry birds, smooth calander, the weather channel, twitter, and a few others....
If there is anyway to get it to the developers that would be cool too! Thanks everyone!
has nothing to do with the ROM, I think a lot of people (if not everyone) can't do anything with the market ATM
Another thread on the General Android section about this:

I have this issue aswell,I've flashed several times and sometimes no issue then other times...issue.
Try flashing back to stock and then reflash back....or just keep trying to dl from market, usually after a few tries it will dl

This one might be ROM related: the past few days, I'd get some strange behavior. Either:
I'd click Install and nothing would happen, or
I'd click Install, and it would download, but never install.
If I go back to the market later, I see the progress bar, but it's not actually doing anything. Usually on the second or third try it will download and install correctly.
Wipe out davik cache.
Go into setting application, manage application, all, find market clean cache and data if that doesn't work odin back and reflash.

Same issue
I have had Bionix V running since its release and the same thing has been happening to me. the Download progress bar would complete, but then there would be no notification of completion of download, it took me a couple of downloads to actually get the App. I would think it is a Market issue because it has only been acting up like this for the past day and a half, but before then Bionix has been awesome.
Running bionix V. Don't have this issue. But I think the market is really slow these past couple of days.

Yup, what I did. I also had to recalibrate the compass/gps to get that to work correctly.
Thanks for the help! Im reflashing right now!
I had trouble after flashing Bionix V, too.
I found a thread on another site that suggested the gTalk login was somehow linked to Market. I killed the Market process, logged into gTalk, started Market, canceled my downloads -- and from that point forward it has worked normally.
Weird, but it worked for me.

I am having the same problem where I try to download something and it stops right after I press ok. I have tried clearing market data, dalkiv cache and also tried re flashing.
Sorry I have to post here, I am a long time viewer but first time Poster
Okay I am having a very weird thing happen… upgraded from SC 2.6 to SC 2.9 (did all the steps Wiped cash, Wiped Dalvak, etc.) phone works fine but periodically (maybe 30 minutes maybe 2 hrs) l I get a black screen and nothing can wake it until I do a hard reset.
This only happens when not connected to power.
I have reinstalled via CWM (Red) and Odin, I have replaced the Modem.bin and applied 2.9.1
My feeling is this may be related to a application as my last ODIN install worked for over 12 hours until I updated applications, but the applications I am running are not that big of a deal
Dolphin HD, Facebook, Youmail, Alarm Clock Plus, SMS Backup+, Titanium Backup, Rom Manager, YouTube, Flash 10.1, Google Voice, Google Maps, Barcode Scanner, Poynt & Widgetoid 2.x
I ran the same Apps on SC 2.6, Balckhole 4 and JT's Vanilla Froyo without issue, I have tried the Voodoo and Non Voodoo installs to no avail, anyone seen anything similar or even better have a fix?
Sounds like the sleep of death issue to me. So far there isn't a fix for it.
Deff the sleep of death. . And the really bad part is.. You can't get calls in that state, and of you receive a text in that state it will go to the twilight zone never to be seen again.

My problem is getting rid of it... I have now flashed 3 different versions of of SC on it SC 2.9, 2.8 and 2.3 and it still exists ..
I may try putting a whole new ROM see if that has any effect!

Ok now I know the problem there is a good thread here, thanks for the guidance http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=960080&highlight=sleep+death
I found that my sleep of death only happens when I use the clock app thing. The app semi sleeps the phone then when I touch the screen it doesn't come out of it properly so the next time I turn it off it won't wake. Now I just don't use that stock alarm click thing.

Had a feeling it revolved around clocks.. .. people know beautiful widgets cause sleep of death.. And people report that their clicks lag in froyo.. Froyo has some serious issues.

Guys,
I need some help. After installing a new theme, I noticed that my calendar application was gone. I dont think the new theme caused me to lose it, but more like human error.
This was just the stock app. but I no longer have access to my calendar.
Can someone help me re-install it? Thanks.
Be specific, what theme, what rom? If ever a problem always reflash theme or rom to see if gets fixed.
Keep me Fascinated
SC 2.9.2
EC10 Voodoo Lagfix
Honeycomb v4 - Animated
I had the same problem. darkrevenge I think. I just got another calendar. I found it on xda somewhere. I just searched for calendar.apk.
Yesterday I was driving to work. My Fascinate was working flawlessly since I got it the day it came out. I have leaked DL30, Midnight v1.0 theme and DJ05 kernel which I have been using with no changes for about 2 months.
While I was driving, my phone reset, the default desktop screen for the theme came up. A few of my desktop widgets are gone.
Also I have these strange things:
1. My settings button on the app drawer does not open the phone settings. I highlights blue but does not open.
2. When I try to create a shortcut on my desktop it force closes my launcher (ADW, TW and LP).
3. My blue tooth headset is no longer paired (and I can not pair it since I can not get into settings).
Now I have no way to access my phone settings. I did not think that they phone would do the Froyo update since i was rooted with the leaked version already on it, but I can not check to see what is installed since I can't get into the settings.
I have tried many battery pulls and I installed AVG antivirus and that didn't find anything.
Like I said, this is kind of weird since everything was running fine as is for the last 2 months.
Any ideas or suggestions before I do a full Odin wipe and re-install?
Thanks
Why not just back up apps with TB and install ED01 or EB01 (which ever your choice).

That is most likely what I am going to do.
I am running jt1134's Vanilla GB. The problem started this morning. I woke up and checked my phone and it was stuck on the scrolling ANDROID screen. So I tried pulling the battery to no avail. I then wiped everything and rebooted and it worked. It first FC'd Android itself so I restarted. Then it worked fine. Except now it will FC things like Yahoo Messanger, GMail, Angry Birds Rio a Swype keyboard and possibly a few other things. It is really annoying to say the least.
So does anyone have any idea on how to get this thing back on track? If not, does someone have a suggestion for a different ROM that is more stable, but hopefully still Vanilla GB. I do plan on moving to ICS when it is GTG. Thank you for any input.
Clear app cache...your datadata folder is probably full
How do I clear the app cache?
Ng cache cleaner from market.
I fixed the problem by putting PW on it. It's ok. PW does have much better battery life. But I don't like the fuzzy interface. I tried to get CM7 working but our just kept failing on me. If anyone has a sure fire way to make it work let me know.

Again, You can either try clearing app cache, delete some apps, or go to rootzwiki and look up jt's fix for it.
