Possible to change the fonts on the Arc?
If yes, how is it done?
/CK
I'd like this to. Doesn't seem we can't atm, but hope it'll come.
Didnt try yet, but when you are rooted, try typefresh from the market. If that doesn't work, just rename your font exactly as the original and overwrite in system with root explorer.
Both methods worked well on the x10

Just download Font Changer app from the Market for free.
Add some fonts of your choice in a ''Font'' folder on the SD, choose in the app and reboot
It needs root

i have tryed Absolute System Root(device rooted request)avaliable on market(not free)
it's very great apps...you can download and change font, boot animation and many other function...
guys anyway how to use bold font together with regular font? i'm using ubuntu font now (via font changer) , but my bold text still in default sony font. All regular text are already in ubuntu font.
TIA
Ubuntu font looks great.
@Rycon33 are you sure bold fonts aren't in ubuntu font?
yup, i'm sure, cos if i set all text to be in regular, all are in ubuntu font but if i chose to leave bold font to still be bold, the bold returned to original sony font. could it be the ttf file i'm using that's causing this problem? i downloaded it from ubuntu site iirc. the file got -R on the filename means regular font i presume.
thanks for quick reply
i don't have issues with bold text, where doesn't it work? i downloaded the forms here http://font.ubuntu.com/ and put all the fonts in the fontsfolder and it worked.
we have the same files, but now gave up on ubuntu already since somehow the bold text doesn't really work for me. using droid logo now suggested by vegetaleb, bold text are showing ok and overall also looks nice!

Fresh off the newly released Android 4.0 SDK, here's the Roboto System Font. The Font was created from the ground up by the Android team, specifically for Android 4.0.
I was excited to get this onto my phone as I am kind of a Font geek and I wanted to share with the rest of my fellow XDA Members.
NOTE: This is not flashable. I used Font Changer to get it onto my current phone.

I'll say, that I've really fallen in love with the Warm font, its so slick! I'm going to give this a try for a day, if not I can revert.
I added this as an optional flashable item via Warm Updater tonight but for the folks who are not using my ROM, I'd like to share this flashable zip that will work on any ROM.
You can download it here

Try using Gimp.
Nah man, its because it is saved in a different format so it looks a little different. Right now, you are looking at the RGB format, when it is compiled and displayed on the phone it is indexed. I'm not sure in photocopy, but in gimp it is really easy to change between RGB, indexed, and greyscale.

ATTENTION:I am building the Xperia S digital clock from scratch. This is work in progress. I have problems finishing it because I'm still a noob at developing for Android. The clock provided here is a concept.
I have problems setting a custom font for the clock to use.
This is how the clock looks like now:
As you can see, it is using the system's font (in this case "Roboto").
And this is how it should look after setting the custom font:
If anyone with coding knowledge is willing to help me out, just drop me a PM.
Uploaded v1.1 because clock wasn't exactly in the middle of the screen.
I know this is kinda silly but there is a lot of attention towards Xperia themed ROMs lately such as SDE and I thought an Xperia S clock would be useful
Thank you.

Ehm... hi! what rom and theme are you using???
It's SDE with bakabon's addon.
Can anybody help please?

Nice, but It didn't change to what you have posted on the first post after I flashed Xperia S Font. I thought it is compatible. Overall it has potential! I like it!
Guys, I give up...well not really, I'm still gonna try but here's the clock anyway...changed some things...it looks kinda better with Roboto though.

That's because the app isn't using any custom images for the digits. It's just your system font.
It will look different with Android 2.x font and different with Roboto (the pic is with Roboto font).

Hey guys, ran into some issues with the fonts here. I managed to install and set the fonts successfully, but the size of the fonts doesn't seem too good. It's way too big a font size even after selecting "Tiny" font size from within settings. As a result, some of the words in the pull-down status bar and some other places as well can't be seen. As seen in the screenshot, the Date and Telco details can't be seen.. and this is based on "Tiny" font size selected. Tried using font style "Sociallyya" and "Peash" and both returned the same result. Anyone with the same issue? I'm on complete stock rom without any mods.
