Hi,
Is there any unlocked SGS2 with NFC available anywhere in the world? If not, is there some way to put a NFC chip in the phone?
That microsd card with NFC wont work in SGS2 itseems, because SGS2 has metallic microsd card slot . Any other alternative?

Google for Korean Samsung Galaxy S II for sale or use ebay.
not able to find any place to buy korean phone, who ship to india .
Anyway, If i now buy a phone withont NFC, can I add it later? Like by buying a battery with NFC?? Will it work?
Anyway, in the korean version the NFC comes with the battery.
What other differences are there in Korean version?
Anybody knows when the prime is coming to this third world country (in terms of product releases)?
I've noticed there are different SGP311 model numbers depending on the region / country.
In the US it is sold as SGP311U1, in Germany as SGP311DE and in the UK as SGP311GB.
Does anyone know if there are any differences in the specifications or does it come with different preinstalled OS version or applications?
More importantly, will a US bought XTZ work the same in Europe as it would in US?
Hi All,
I bought a new Galaxy S3 from saturn shop in Germany.
I can't use it in my country (outside Europe) due to region lock.
I searched the web for a fix and saw that Chainfire developed an app for this issue in Note 3.
is there a more dedicated solution for S3? (I can't find one).
thanks,
Shalili
I have the same problem.
Samsung did not warn buyers that they should put a local sim on the first use. Now I have a completely useless phone.
Until now there is no solution on internet.
My solution was ... I bought a Sony Xperia ZL and Samsung is dead to me.
hi, i am looking to buy my dad a S4 mini DUOS I9192, but i have a few concerns, mainly regarding samsung region lock stuff:
- i live in canada, and my dad needs to travel to china for work. so while i guess i can test the phone here in canada to make sure it works in north america region by making a 5 min call locally, i cannot guarantee that the phone will be region locked when my dad travels to china. is it possible to check beforehand (in settings etc) whether the phone is region locked without putting a foreign sim card in?
- probably will be buying the phone on ebay, most sellers are shipping from US or hong kong. how will i know which region the phone is locked to?
- i read that there is some region lock away app by chainfire available, but i cannot find the app in google play. can someone point me to the right direction regarding where i can find the app? does it actually work and future-proof if we update the firmware?
TIA
