Parse Error
If any one gets parse error as I did, try putting the apk on the root of the SD card and using appinstaller from the market to install it. Worked great for me. Hopefully this helps.

mmm, never heard of that happening. For me it was just as simple as clicking on it and letting it install. (running CleanRom DE) But glad you found a way to make it work though

If any one has an issue w/ a reg install ( click on the apk using file manager of your choice) let me know what ROM your on and I'm sure I can figure it out and for the last person (your the only one) but that is a good thing bc I can figure out why it didn't work out for you as I really do like to solve stuff so send me your info, rom, etc.... and I will try to replicate the issue so I can make sure no one else has that issue...

Running CleanROM 2.8, however, I believe I tried to install while running DE 1.2. Couldn't figure out why it didn't want to go. I am the only one I know who got that parsing error. But, that was the one, simple way I got around it and figured I'd share it just in case.

It's better if u can re-write a guide for SGA I tried but not work maybe I did wrong somewhere
hahas. I haven tried the wildfire guide yet but a guide for SGA would be nice. Devilking why never post your KS3 here on XDA.

yeah actually you can make it easily..
just in notepad write down commands and save it as name.sh file.. you are done
run like normal script as root from terminal emulator or script manager
well i have made interactive shell script and also thinking of making app for this thing just as my first android app....
but i will do this after two days when exams are over
but till that i would love to hear from some senior how to solve problem of market download ??
after enabling port for market it allows to browse through market but download doesn't work..
do market download using some other port ?? so that can be enabled ?
hope some senior guy look around here and tell some solution so that i can finish this thing off
Nice mate!! Looking forward to it!! Be sure I am the first to be informed when its out
Hope you solve the market issue too.

other things than market works for you right ?
Yup working perfectly
Bro you working on the script?
Not asking for ETA
For some unknown reason its now working for me anymore
EDIT : Still working playing with ASProxy To get access to market. You know how to do it?
well i actually was trying out different roms thats why was not able to make some interactive script but simple script works for me ..
btw for simple one just notepad the commands which you run in terminal and save it as USBTether.sh it should work
ASProxy doesn't seems to work as i have tried it but haven't done quite a time for it hope i find way to enable market
what program u use to run the script? I use script manager to run script but fails. So far only typing it manually in terminal allows me to get connected
well script manager do good job ...[run it as root ]
you can also run it from terminal emulator
Hello dear members of XDA-developers!
This is my first post, so please don't kill me. I've tried to find the answer to my question, but I guess it's too simple, since I believe nobody ever asked this.
So, I've just finished the first tutorial about developing on the android website (can't post outside links yet, but I'm pretty sure you all know it haha) and I would like to get it working on my Galaxy Nexus, but sadly I don't know how . (I honestly have no idea what version, but I'm in the Netherlands and that's where i bought it. It's running 4.1.1)
Could you guys help me out?
I know this question must've been answered before, but I can't find it.
Yes I am aware of the fact that I am a complete and utter noob and should be killed for my lack of knowledge or pro-ness in android developing.
Anyways if you read this you've made it through all of my question, so thanks for reading ^^

Assuming you are using eclipse connect your phone to your computer via usb cable. Now click the run program button and it should be sent to your device. If you have an emulator running at the same time eclipse should ask you what what device to send it to.

Thanks for the quick response man, didn't think anyone way going to asnwer this lol.
That's right, I am using eclipse and i already tried what you suggested, but the problem is that eclipse can't find my nexus..
you think it might have anything to do with the fact that im programming for 4.1.2 and my Nexus currently runs 4.1.1?
That would be weird though, since i should have compatability all the way back to 2.3.3.
Otherwise I'd need to try and get my Nexus to run 4.1.2, but I don't think it supports it, right?
once again thanks for the response.

When I started building my first app, I built the "Hello Android" example using eclipse, to run on the emulator on my Windows PC.
When that worked, I found the built .apk file on my PC, and copied it to my DroidX, and sideloaded it, and it ran fine on the DroidX.

EDIT:
Yeah, getting it installed on my phone was easy now, but when I start the app, it only says: "Unfortunately, MyFirstApp has stopped", but that's probably a problem within the app itself I think.
Thanks again for helping me out (well sortof anyways )

To fix it run
Code:
adb logcat
You can see what went wrong
Enviado desde mi XT912
Correct me if I'm wrong. But I don't think simply copying the apk into phone and installing work, because I guess the apk needs to be signed. But when you launch from Eclipse it need not have to, and will install straight away into your phone.
First you should make sure ADB detects your device.
Run this command in cmd -> C:\android-sdk-windows\platform-tools\adb devices
Assuming you've installed android-sdk in C drive, turned on Android Debugging in phone. If it displays your device, then you are good to go and run your project from Eclipse.

and im tired of dealing with chinese OS on my phone,
i might use paranoid android or something but if i can't root . than im doomed..
There's a working root thread for the R5 over on OppoForums, check that out if you're still interested in rooting. This won't get you an alternate ROM at the moment, but at least it's root!

No one seems to know how lol
Dude are you serious? Please tell me how you did this. What program did you use to get root on this phone? Why didn't you post any directions in the first place?

Hope it is working man. Dude just to make sure you understood, this TWRP we installed is not only meant for a similar but different model, but as i said i unpacked it and checked inside, and saw that some stuff seemed wrong. It was made for a device running kitkat, the partitions layout seemed different etc (our device uses almost 30 partitions O.O).
So i dont recommend trying to flash stock or custom cyanogenmod roms with it untill we are sure this custom recovery is correclty ported for our specific model, 100% functional. For instance, i couldnt find my external SD card browsing with it... Thankfully it worked for the root process
Since we already have a recovery ported to a similar device, same family 105, its probalby easy to finish porting 100% for our 105B and then start looking for custom roms for it.... or how to port them >.< lol
We can probably find someone else to help with that here in the XDA forum.
UPDATE 08/28/2016: The TWRP now seems to work fine with the external SD cart! next step is to find or build a custom rom for it and then see if TWRP is also working for flashing ROMS.

Ok, you must make sure that you have an unlocked bootloader to flash TWRP.
For that purpose go to Settings -> Developer options, and enable "OEM unlock" . "Also USB debugging".
Since we are installing Supersu after, im not sure but its safer to enable "Unknown sources" under the first security tab.
NOTE: this TWRP i will provide, is only meant to be used to install Supersu! Do NOT use it to install any custom ROM. and also dont trust its backups and data wipes/resets.
I would personally install the TWRP, use it to install Supersu and then flash my stock recovery back (only the recovery, not the stock boot). This will keep the root status and leave your stock rom more close to its original state. If you dont have a backup of your stock boot and recovery, i can share how to do it.
Thats the reason i am not openly linking this TWRP, i am afraid to people will brick their devices trying to use this port to flash custom ROMS Cyanogen etc.
BUT i am 100% confident that for rooting purposes only, this port works fine. I will link it to you in PM, cheers

OTG cable/connection ? i dont have and never tested myself.
But i downloaded "Do i have OTG?" and "USB OTG Checker" from playstore and both said that this devide does support OTG, that the OS have the OTG API etc.
Maybe the user manual on samsung's webpage have some more specific info, hope it helps.
PS: if you still did not buy it and want to know my opinion : For gamers and ppl who enjoy photography, dont buy this model. Its hardware is nice, very compact and good priced if you buy cheap. But the auto-focus-less camera makes hard to take pictures of documents for instance. And the touchscreen is buggy for playing games! only 2-point multi-touch and very bad calibrated! fails all the time. The battery is also only 1.500mxx ... you will need to be charging it everyday.
