I just noticed the My Verizon app was updated in the market and has a newly designed data usage meter. It still won't work on the Thunderbolt (at least the market version) but it looks like it also shows how much data was used from tethering. Is this what the update was or is it something completely different?? Here is a picture of the new app from the market.

Looking at the image and reading the description in the market seems to imply that's a wifi meter.

The patched (it was not leaked) app may cause undesirable effects for thunderbolt user and a Verizon developer reached out to xda, then I about it. Please don't post it to xda, my patch details were left because they are technically legal. Doesn't mean it is safe.

531.3 vs 531.1
Easiest way to tell... Is which thread was posted last...
I prefer stock over custom roms with this phone... Just my opinion. However, most custom roms are on the .1 build... Only one or two on the .3 build

AFAIK, the removal wasn't his call. Most of the fruitcake files were hosted on MegaUpload, and we all know what happened there. The only ones he could re-post were ones that he received from people who already had them, and it seems that no one kept the Froyo fruitcakes...

What good is this launcher?
The Froyo launcher is very smooth compared to the GB Launcher + The widgets were better looking in Froyo than GB (in my opinion)
Well, fruitcakes are in http://www.mediafire.com/?aqzowdn8w5z2osu
(According to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1819048)
They are images though, and I cannot decompile them right now...
I can do it when I get home (or you can do it yourself), unless, of course, I don't feel like doing it.

That's all it was? An update for the people app? That is strange. wouldn't be surprised if they added in a fix for the bootloader exploit and/or root exploit too.
Edit: I thought it was like an OTA OS update, now looking it seems it's just HTC's way of updating system apps I guess?

I noticed that I got the new play store installed on my phone yesterday. I think I liked the old version better. Actually, it kind of reminds me of when it was called the market. It's kind of creepy that they can install an app on our phones without our consent or knowledge...

they aren't really installing apps without your consent. its an update to an app that you already had installed and in the ToS is says they have the right to update their apps.

I'm sorry, I think I needed a Snickers(tm) when I posted that.
I meant that the bleeding edge device specific patches that won't make it to the get.cm nightlies until they've been tested are only available on IRC.
I know some people like their AOSP-based spinoffs. They honestly do have some cool features, but I'm not sold on them.
