Is it possible to simultaneously have Bluetooth Tether & A2DP? I'm looking to have A2DP to send audio to my car's speakers and wifi tether for the passengers. Thanks,
Why?
I don't think you could BT Tether & Stream the audio & WiFi Tether... I can't imagine why you would want to...
Maybe if you had one WiFi app and one BT app for the tethering it might work ... though I dont see why you can't use use the WiFi to tether for data and enjoy the A2DP BT for music???
Your topic is misleading. After carefully reading your question.
The shot answer is yes (assuming you wifi tether and not bt tether.)
I am currently listening to Pandora on my ad2p headset and I have cm7 built in hotspot turned on and my epic 4g is happily surfing the web on Lte 4g.
So score...for you and woot! Tethering hotspot in cm7 works.

Thanks guys - I'm new to tethering and for some reason thought it was all through bluetooth. Appreciate it!

I'm having problems using bluetooth and Wifi at the same time. Anyone else had issues with this? I'm running MiniCm7 by nobodyAtall.
Bluetooth to both stereo and mono headsets works fine (need to use super mono plus for the single earpiece), and wifi works fine. But I get problems trying to use both together. It does work sometimes (so I know it is possible) but normally starting one service will stop the other functioning correctly. A shame because wifi + skype + bluetooth is a nice combination; as is streaming spotify mobile to bluetooth
Any ideas?
anyone got bluetooth tethering to work?
I have an Atrix on Cyanogen Mod 7 which allows my laptop to bluetooth tether to it, so I know it can do it. However when I pair my Sony Tablet to it, I don't get any options to do anything, let alone tether.
e.g. when I pair to headphones I get option to use as audio etc. but with my phone, i can only pair, I can't do anything else and no options / uses are presented.
what are you trying to do with your phone/tablet via bluetooth? Seems like it would be easier over wifi. If you're trying to tether via bluetooth that won't work, and beside bluetooth data transfers are super slow.
the advantage is that I don't have to manually toggle wifi hotspot on and off on my phone. I can just leave bluetooth on (on my phone, I also use BT headset so I leave it on anyway) and connect at will.
When ever I connect my new iPad to my cell via Bluetooth it launches
Hotspot on my cell. Is it possible to remove hotspot and launch wireless tether when it's connected via Bluetooth on a custom rom? Any thoughts?
Thanks
What ROM and what gen of iPad? Also, why BT tether when wifi or ad hoc is more efficient?

Ipad (Gen3Wifi-only) and BAMF Rezound ICS v1.1 Official Rom, I wanted to be able to use the gps from my cell on my Ipadl. The only way to use it is through Bluetooth. Thanks for your reply.
Does anyone know of or use an app that will auto-enable a bluetooth tether when wifi isn't connected & vice-versa?
I'd like to have my Prime on line at all times but choose the best available connection.
I looked at having Tasker do this, but it isn't capable of activating a specific bluetooth connection - it can only toggle the bluetooth radio on or off.
Any ideas would be welcome.
My EVO 3D has a broken wifi chip and is currently not activated for service. I am able to connect to the internet via HTC Sync's USB Pass-through internet, but I'm trying to get it to connect to another phone's Bluetooth tether.
My other phone is a Sprint Samsung Epic 4G running CyanogenMod 10. The Bluetooth Tether option is enabled on the Epic and the phones are paired, but the EVO seems not to see the service on the Epic. If I turn on Bluetooth Tether on the EVO, the Epic can connect to the EVO's tether, but since the EVO has no internet access, it doesn't actually do anything.
The two phones can do other Bluetooth functions such as file transfers and even linking NESoid for Net-Play games, so they are fully paired. Is there an app or anything I can put on the EVO to get it to see the Epic's Bluetooth Tether?

I'm not sure if it fits your requirement or not but FoxFi only supports bluetooth tether on an Evo 3D.

I have an Epic running CM10. All options seemed to work well on stock and cleanGb but are... well... broken now. I think the problem is the Epic - it's not "offering a tether service" via bluetooth. You can test this if you have a BT capable PC. Connect each and check their properties. Under the services available there should be some sort of connection sharing. Your EVO might offer the service yet. Mine is blank. I know it's an old post, but my own search brought me here. Thought I would share.
