Getting error while flashing via Clockwork Recovery. (Installing Zip from SD Card/InstallUpdate.zip from SD Card) How do i install?
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA Premium App

To have this zips working you may have to change the "/META-INF/com/google/android/update-binary" file for a another one.
The application is working on my phone with cyanogenmod 7.0.2, but I can't make video nor audio calls.

You need Gingerbread 2.3.4

Tested on 2.3.4. No success for voice or video call.

Stock Google Apps Updated (Market, Gallery, Desk Clock and More)

I know this is posted in other sections but i thought i would let my fellow MT4G users in on this
google has released a updated version of their camera app, gallery app, music app and more to galaxy s phone users
these have been extracted and posted here
http://www.androidnews.de/download/test-market-leaked-apps.zip
Unfortunatly, the only apps i have gotten to work are the camera, music, and market (though i see no difference in the market, and i found the camera less featured that the one i already had...if you want to try the camera, it can be installed along side the current one)
I am running RoyalMIUIr3, so those were compatible with this rom, other roms may differ
WARNING: I am having issues installing downloaded apps using the new vending.apk. backup your current one before installing the new version.
I wonder which one of these would work on CM... Gonna try.

Arc Software needs certain things that non-lg roms don't have. Therefore you can't install it.

The ArcSoft package contains the ArcSoft folder from /system/3rd_party and some libs in /system/lib (like libarc???.so). No luck for me too, maybe some more files missing. If anyone could do, I would be really thankful to him

I think there's something in the framework of stock roms it relies on, I can get it to install and load (after some nasty hacks), but it seems unable to actually function (Log just spits out "Application already in focus ignoring..." )
... But don't think I've given up, this is one of the few items on my "wish list" for SwiftDroid

Can you elaborate a bit further? -- It was easy enough to "hack" the apk to allow it to install, and it loads up... just kinda doesn't actually do it's thing. (log is no help here sadly)

It'll have stuff deeply encoded into random libs or something. You know what LG are like. It's like porting the FM radio

I got it try getting the Lib file and the APK
Sent from my HTC HD2 using xda premium
I think the .so files in the lib folder lets you install some apps and games depending on the Install Codes in the .so files, apps and the Games
Sent from my HTC HD2 using xda premium
The arc files are in random Locations and i think you need to get the LG GT540's Package Installer from /system/app/package installer.apk the permissions for the apk are
Owner R/W
Group R
Others R
I hope this helps ;D

Viber for Wildfire

I know that Viber is not officially compatable with the Wildfire, but I have installed the apk below and all is fine on my phone running jokerDroiD ROM
I've tried it too. It does work with cm7 based ruymanca rom.
With SUnAaBh.v.1.1 works without problems..
Call quality using this is really unbelievable!
When I first installed Hellfire the viber app force closed all the time so I uninstalled it but this works perfect, thank you!

Mine has sound quality problems. There're echos, delays and interruptions sometimes, though the free sms feature is working well. Are they working on fixing this?

Hey I'm using the only Market I know, I guess everyone has the same?
The latest version 2.0.1 has severe problems with Wildfire and Hero, that's why it's not showing up in the Market of these 2 models. I'm using version 2.0.0

You can now download it for "partially-supported devices"
but as I have already said it is working fine on JokerDroid 4.2
Charlotte90T I am sure you have seen this post from Viber somewhere else on the web
Hi all,
This is a member of the Viber Development Team!
HTC Wildfire and HTC Hero are currently unavailable in Market, and that it is because we encountered severe issues when developing Viber on it.
However, we decided that we will bring it back to Market soon. Meanwhile, you can use this link to manually download the .APK intended for partially-supported devices: http://helpme.viber.com/index.php/K...View/100/16/cant-download-from-android-market

I believe 1.3 is the latest.
Is it working for you? if so, are you on stock non rooted.
Have you clicked in your name within the app and then check marked allow voice and video? Yes, 1.3 is the newest one.

I'm aware. But none of the instructions work. Followed similar procedure to when on 2.3.3 but without the libs since they should be in 2.3.4... No dice. Even tried with libs. No worky

I don't understand why HTC and Motorola (photon 4g running 2.3.4) have the latest updates ( 2.3.5 is more for the nexus s 4G ) and video talk doesn't work out of the box, there is not point of changing the number if everything doesn't work as aosp gingerbread
Sent from my PG86100 using Tapatalk
I have the latest GTalk according to the version number. It's the old version though, I know about clicking on my name and selecting voice and video. There is no option there. I had the 1.3 on before the update and it worked great, now after the update the app is back to how it originally was but with a different version number. It's not with video at all. Flashing didn't work before when I tried it on 2.3.3

Try flashing a rom with it already built in. every rom i have tried has the newest gtalk already installed
Im on wtsb now and i have gtalk with video and it runs great. also have skype running as well. Im a happy camper just flash a custom rom if you root..
Working Video
I downloaded the file from this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1062980
extracted the Talk2.apk and pushed it to apps from recovery in ADB. I didn't remove anything (which seems odd), but I now have working video in Talk.
Edit:
I tried a video call and it failed. I had to follow my own instructions from this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=16192477&postcount=29
Yeah I took the Talk2.apk from ViperROM & renamed it Talk.apk. I used root explorer to move it & fixed the permissions.

[Q] DSP Manager

Hi, I want to use DSP manager to unlock the "dynamic range compression" features of my Samsung Galaxy Player YP-G70.
Do I need to install a ROM to be able to unlock this feature? To my knowledge there are no ROM's available yet for the YP-G70 yet, but I have no desire to use any of the features that the ROMs offer, other than to get the audio compression feature working for the "DSP Manager.apk" app.
Yes, I already have the YP-G70 device rooted.
Any help would be appreciated, or to direct me in the right area.
Thank you!
If you are running gingerbread, you can install like a normal apk, or push to /system/app with root. If froyo then you have to have lib files.

Yes, I'm running gingerbread 2.3.5
When I install as a normal .apk everything is there and functional (equalizer, bass boost and loudness comp, etc.) except the "dynamic range compressor" portion, which does not work.
Oh, I'm not sure then...are you using one from a cm7? Maybe an older version of the app?
Sorry I can't be more help.
