[Q] [REQ] Stock Camera [blurcamera.apk] - Defy Themes and Apps

So I just installed CyanogenMod 7 Beta5 on my Defy and it's AWESOME!
But the only thing that disturb me is the Camera app in the ROM,
It does not have widescreen option for photos and The flash comes too early when taking pictures (photos becomes way too bright)..
So I'm asking that if someone could provide me the Stock BlurCamera.apk of froyo Defy please!!....
And if you could please explain how to install a stock app...
Many thanks

moment i try it

Thanks anyway!! I'll test it...
EDIT: Doesn't work unfortunately :'(
Thanks

The BlurCamera uses libs from Blur core, I checked some files inside the .apk, it requires Motoblur.
I'm no android dev so I don't know what is possible here, but it would be awesome to have the BlurCamera (in my opinion the only good Blur app) on CM7, so if anyone of the devs has some time, BlurCamera fully supports Defy hardware, has an option to turn shutter sound off, and provides widescreen pictures as well as many effects and a decent UI.

the camera is the only bug of cm7,after AGPS being fixed today

fix flash focus maybe?
I am not using CM7 ( going to install it in the next few days). As i was reading i understood on a thread that in Camera Settings there is and option to pre-focus that fixes your problem??? Don't really know if it's there, maybe i red it elsewhere.

Any news on this? If there are no legal problems regarding motorola, I think this would be worth to work on, I could try but I think one of our great developers like Quarx or dexter could do it faster and more professional
Here again a short summary of the features:
- nice UI designed for fullscreen recording (16:9 pictures, maybe soon 16:9 videos?)
- up to 5mp pictures
- 6x zoom
- some effects (grayscale, color inversion etc.)
- camera modes (night, macro, motion)
- many options (shutter sound, shutter animation, ...)
- autofocus and flash optimized for defy (very good pictures, especially with jpg compression patch)
- google camera somehow always is on full brightness... blurcamera can manage brightness levels of the screen that the display doesn't blind you while taking nightly images
- some things I forgot

Quarx already posted a zip with the blur camera for cm7 its only a test and I think video does not work at least no sound.
Sent from my Defy on EphuNord rom.

Thanks for the info!!
I just hope that the blur camera will be worked and integrated in CM7... Because the UI is sleek and simple..

When the BlurCamera works and most of the minor bugs are fixed CM7 by Quarx will be the perfect rom, but until now it's also the best I've ever seen

I hope that we'll find soon a way to install original MotoBlur apps separately on any unofficial ROM. It will be great to have the BlurCamera and the Blur Music Player on CM7.

I agree, although does slow phones down quite a bit, I've yet to find an app that integrates contacts as well. Hopefully there will be a way to bring motoblur to CM7.

What is the best Camera App for Atrix?

I was looking for a good camera app for atrix. I think the stock gingerbread camera app from Motorola don't make the best use of 5MP Camera. I've used Camera Zoom FX but it doesn't cover the full screen. The photos are a bit small.
Which camera app do you reccomend for taking best pictures?
no app, get the droid 3 cam
How to get that? & How to install that? Any help?
what rom are you using?

Stock Gingerbread (2.3.4) from Motorola. Rooted.
Yes, the DROID 3 cam is the best, got it with the Darkside ROM.
Zoom Camera FX. Better than any other camera, including the droid 3 camera, imo. Smoother and longer zoom (13x), more flash modes (auto, on, and flashlight mode for video recording or to see what your pic will look like with flash before you take it), more scene modes, the ability to clap or shout and have a picture taken (as well as timed modes and steady shot mode), and better autofocus options make it hands-down the best camera app I've used, and I've tried all of them. That's not even taking into account all the awesome effects you can do with it. You can either shoot a pic and apply effects later, or set the effects and see them real-time before you take the pic.
*I am in no way affiliated with this app and have nothing to gain by recommending it.

This is true. Zoom Camera FX ! I use it since I got my ATRIX in March. Since than they always made a lot of nice improvements on the application, the gui for example. I use the paid version and I really can recommend it.
And I like Paper Camera for special effects.
And what is the best?
Miui, Droid 3, Camera FX...
Greatings

I was complaining about Camera Zoom FX because it wasn't taking pictures full of my screen's phone! But that was in the settings! I chose Widescreen & now everything is perfect! Very happy with Camera Zoom FX. It took photos so crisper, smoother & perfect!
I use the paid version & the latest version is 3.2.1
Do the apps recommended in this thread also include 720p video recording?

I like Camera Zoom FX, but is the quality really better than the MIUI camera? FX has more customization options, but MIUI camera--to me--seems to take a better picture. Thoughts?

I tried MIUI Camera & played it with 2 days. But Camera Zoom FX really take better pictures than MIUI. I've tried same picture with both of them. Camera Zoom FX takes crisper image than all of the others.
Besides, taking photos with volume down button is a huge plus point for me. Camera with physical button really enhance the possibility to take better pictures. Tap anywhere to capture is another very wanted feature by me.
Is there a way to find a flashable addon for the Droid 3 or MIUI camera? or at least an apk. Thanks
Also how do you set the save location for MIUI camera? Its already preloaded in MROM so Im currently using it.

[FIX][PORT]Complete Camera Exposures Fix + Instant Record Fix + Best Image Quality

Hey guys, Seeing two fixes from trettet and umangleekha, and getting reports that replacing cam libs with N2 Rom libs causes the best reported image quality, but no zoom in Camcorder, and Trettes pull from a different Kang has this feature working but worse image quality.
After various testings of older Camera.apks from Cyanogenmod ports, I finally found the version (MATT MACKS CM 7.1) that works on the Current CM 7.2RC1 and the Camcorder function works perfectly
I made flashable zip combining trettets cam_fix (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1587870) and the libmmjpeg.so file from addfads N2, which is one of 3 files that are different between the two fixes, the two others being libcamera.so and libcamera_client.so (which I assume are responsible for the actual operation of the camera.)
The flashable Zip contains the APK with correct permissions and the Lib fixes.
I also removed the framework folder, as those files dont have anything to do with fixing the camera, and may cause unwanted bugs.
From personal tests I noticed the image quality is actually better from this combination and the shutter speed seems faster 2.
Please comment on any errors you experience, and the overall quality you perceive.
P.S The post contains 3 ZIPs,
1) JUST the Combined exposure fix Libs (with working camcorder zoom/ 4x Digital Picture Zoom), keeping the original CM 7.2 RC1 Camera.apk (with camcorder lag) [COMB_CamLibsFix-signed.zip]
2) The Combined Exposure fix Libs (with working camcorder zoom/ 4x Digital Picture Zoom) AND working Camera.apk [Complete_Camerafix_deniso177-signed.zip]
3) Extracted Libs from The latest N2 KANG from adfad (Better default Exposures/Camcorder zoom not working/ 2x Digital Picture Zoom) and the working Camera.apk [N2LIBS_Cameraapkfix_deniso177-signed.zip]

Thats strange, I think the Nightly four already has some sort of fix included, so its possible these fixes are corrupting the Rom. This should work On cm 7.2
No problem reinstall the rom.
see to it If default exposure can be increased, ATM, libcamera.so is responsible for it, but it will make mine and your fix same

Hi, thanks for the efforts but I got a better combo...
In your fix ,video lag goes off due to camera.apk but the exposure is still low (I flashed the complete one)
what I did is get libs from umangleekha fix and camera.apk from yours and Viola great camera exposure with video recording fix...

Try the actual official 7.2 Rom with a custom kernel, no offence to the developer, but all the tweaks in Roms like Nightlyv4 are not that beneficial, the kernel and Rom libs/framework is where all the performance and stability comes from
Works fine with GTR V4.5X.

Has any progress been made towards running the TW camera on AOSP ROMs?

Hi there! I recently found out that Siyah Kernel allows dual booting on the S3, so I took the plunge and used it to install RootBox as my second ROM. I'm quite happy with it, but I'd love to have the Samsung camera's features back - particularly, the HDR and low light modes.
Does a mod exist that allows the TW camera to work, or has there been any previous technical discussion of this that may help me in my quest to make one?
I tried to port it myself with my minimal modding skills, but it turned out to be more complex than I expected: the furthest I got was getting the Samsung camera UI to appear and then pop up "Camera failed". I broke camera functionality entirely for all other apps, too
I'm now [slowly] downloading the Android source to see if I can make the necessary modifications to make Samsung's camera libraries work, but in the meantime, I'd love to know if there's something I missed in my searches. All I found was an XDA thread requesting a port of the GS3 camera to the GS2, and a thread on another board which included some interesting info from someone who had tried porting the GS3 camera to AOSP but nothing I didn't already know.
Any info on this would be appreciated. Thank you!
I dont think anyone is even trying. The aosp mod 2.60 in themes section is good but I recommend installing camera 360 from play for effects and cool hdr
The hdr is only an effect though

I took that as a challenge and have been working on it nonstop since yesterday
I have the camera working on my modded ROM now, I'm hoping to release the ROM and the source patches (for applying to other ROMs) once I get more of the features working (I would like to at least fix Low Light and the Camcorder) and knock out a couple issues like the app launching the non-existent TW gallery to view photos.
Here's a video as proof. Apologies for the quality, but I couldn't find a decent screen recording app: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYX4PSVDiIU
Now that I'm here again, I may as well ask- where would the best place be to post this? It's related to both a modded app and a modded ROM so I don't know whether it would fit better in Development or Themes/Apps.
Themes and apps, definitely

NO i got it fixed.
It went into the different addons and found, that with project "fluid" there are some files placed in the lib-folder which have to do with audio.
So i tried to install without the fluid package and now it works.
Then i removed the files that have to do something with audio from the fluid add on folder, and now i have, walkman, poweramp, and fluid patches working.!

Now, the last thing missing on your rom, is just a camera which has pictures with same quality than the original... Then it would be perfect
I don't want features and tools, i just need quality - i know what my camera was abled to do.
At the moment i'm using the stock android camera.
Other problem with this is, it shows always a 16:9 picture, even if i select 8mpx. The outcome is 4:3, but in the preview the picture is cut, and not as sharp, as the real output is then. So you never know if it is well focused or not, because in preview it s always not realy sharp.

Yes exactly, focal is just a FC on xperia neo. The real output pictures on xperia neo aren't sooo bad with stock camera... i just compared some pic's. Not so bad... minimal difference
Biggest Problem on stock camera: Preview 16:9, not sharp preview, and lot slower then cybershot camera.
Do you think that the 16:9 problem is just any xml or other config problem? If so, please tell me just what i need to change (or replace gallery.apk?), so that i don't need to reflash the whole rom (i've done some changes... )
Other small bug i found is (but i think its cm10 problem): GPS Problems - with Navigon it gets connection for 5 seconds, then looses, reconnect, lost and so on. Only if i start gps status tool before opening navigon, it's working. And the google maps arrow is spinnig around all the time - no idea what this problem causes.

How to have better camera on Oreo ROMs

TIP OF THE DAY
INTRO
If you don't like the camera's quality it is because the google camera app is not the best for the grand prime, actually this is the problem of all ROMs based on the pure android, isn't the image clear enough? does the image looks blurred?
I've been comparing my camera on android oreo with my another phone (both are the same model), one has the stock Android and the other one has the pure Android 8 and the differences are huge, how to work around this problem?
Well... I have researched and talked to devs about this and it turns out that the drivers of the camera are the same as the stock firmware, but the only thing what changes the quality is how the image is processed by the camera application.
So who's the one to blame? The camera app.
What is the solution?
The real solution is to use ROMs based on the stock ROM, i.e. touchwiz, but I have noticed that many people still prefer using the pure Android so this solution is not possible. There is still another way.
CyanogenMod camera and fine adjustments
That's what you read, with the 'old' Cyanogen camera app you can have better pictures.
First, install this app
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.maartendekkers.cyanapps
It's called Cyan Apps if the link isn't working.
and then...
Choose 'camera' on CM's 13 sectionNote: Don't choose the CM 14.1 version because it crashes when you start recording a video or change to frontal camera.
Download and install it.
Adjustments
Open the camera and go to settings, drag down until the last options and turn off the Denoise option, then go to the sharpness and set to the level 0 (or do whatever you think is better) and go to the picture quality and set to it 100%. The rest of the options you can leave in the default level.
Optional
You can, alternatively, with root access make this a system application and delete the other one just to have only one default camera for your ROM.
In the images attached below I want you to pay attention in the sharpness of the image and the quality, I hope you don't mind if I'm a bad photographer.
UPDATE: I know the link is broken and the reason is because the Cyan Apps has been removed from playstore, I don't know why, but you know now the secret to make the image good-looking, you have to turn off denoise option which comes by default turned on in all Samsung cameras. Find an APP that can make this for you. Best Regards
Holt sh*t dude.. it fixed my camera quality. Now the photo quality can be compared to stock cam.
Although now the photos are a little noisy and kinda looks little bad on low light..but it's really good on places with light.

Low light is always an enemy for the camera
This WILL also work on Snap-based (that's the camera included on most AOSP ROMs) cameras.
