There's a couple things you need to know/do first:
1) Your baseband needs to end in 015, if it doesn't your phone isn't fully updated and you need to update it to the latest version (preferably through SEUS)
2) You need to root your phone and install xRecovery from here (first post)
3) The module that lets you overclock your phone also comes undervolted, so unless you ONLY want to undervolt without overclocking download the undervolt module.
After all that's done download the overclock module from here (download overclock_tweak.zip) or the undervolt module from here , copy the file to your sd card and reboot into xRecovery, select install custom zip and select the file downloaded earlier, reboot and you're done.

Hey everyone, I'm new to the Forum, as you can see
I have been looking to overclock my x10 but I'm not sure f it's even possible as all the applications I've seen or installed personaly (not saying they don't exist) haven't been able to go above the 1GHz Processor the x10 has. If one does exist, could someone please, please, please kindly point me in the right direction? And if they don't exist, let me know?
Thank you very much in advance,
Regards,
ItsWrighty.
J's 2.3.3 CM7 has a kernel with oc to 1.113GHz, but the kernel isn't fully working, I think soon we'll have fully working cutom kernels with oc for the X10
all we need are "time" )
Ahh I see, thank you Flo95
Hi can som1 help me?
I want to install zkernal to undervolt my phone but i don't know how
I know there is a guide but i'm really confused
Can i just use xrecovery and install it and i'm done??
Hi,
at the moment it is not so simply. The easiest way at the moment is flashing a whole image (for instance Wolfs) then there is an update which include under voltage and also one for over clocking.
I would not recommend the zKernel at the moment because I lost WiFi with it.

hi
i installed latest CM7 into my x10 mini, which required the kernel 2.6.29
but it freezes when (sony ericsson) appears at the beginning of the startup
it freezes for hours, so please if anyone of you knows the solution, i appreciate
and also if anyone of you gives me the link to download the .ftf firmware file of 2.1
because i found many firmwares, but all of them are .sin, and i don't know what to do with them, flashtool doesn't find them

the last miniCM7 requires a custom kernel& unlocked bootloader.
you can't use it with stock SE kernel, sorry
repaire with SEUS or if your phone has an unlocked bootloader, flash nAa's kernel
first i am sorry for the position of the thread, i didn't post, i asked a friend to do it
second i really appreciate your help friends and thank you alot
from your help i understand that i must first unlock the bootloader, then flash the kernel and finally install cyanogenmod 7, am i right??

the (best) way :
unlock your bootloader
install miniCM7 2.0.7 (to maximise the compatibility/minimise problems ) it works with stock kernel and a little with custom...
flash the nAa_kernel04
Install miniCM7 2.1.2
read my FAQ, and the dedicated thread about miniCM7 and the kernel before trying anything
you will find 2.0.7 here

if you are installing older version of MiniCM then try going to recovery mode and wipe battery stats then reinstall it will work hopefully
and then you can crack bootloader and install Custom kernel as matmutant said
can't speak English
I cannot read
But I really need a kernel
Mobile phone:sk17i
ROM:sk17i_4.1.B..0.587_HK.ftf
I need a support CPU overclocked kernel
Who can tell me to download net location
Thanks a million
I'm from China
All kernels and roms.

Maybe you should get someone who knows english to help you with this?
Just don't create such type of threads.....why dont you use the SEARCH!!!???? It just increases the work of moderators...I'm not criticizing but just an advice....
Download the .587 ftf and extract it. Then just flash the kernel.sin, this will work :good:
By the way you can't overclock if have a locked bootloader. Unlock it for overclocking, but oc can cause a burned cpu!
I have an xperia X10 mini Pro. now i have a verry stupid question (and i think i posted this on the wrong section, sorry for that my first time on the forum). my question is: will i be able to play games that are not compatibel with my phone ( icon pop quiz,...) if i root? or will it make no difference
and if it will help can sombody like explain in short how to root and what about roms ..
I know there are alot of treads but i want you to like give me advise on what is the best for me?
will i lose my data on phone and sdcard?
what are the risico's?
thanks to the ones that are going to help me.
if there is exact the same tread can you send me a link ( i looked for 10 minutes but dident find what i was looking for)
Hey You can have any game in your U20i ,there is only one problem that you have ,that is were you able to play a game in your mini pro! Rooting your x10MP does not delete your sd data (but may your phone data, if you upgrade to another firmware and root, will delete phone data ).
heres the link for rooting- forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=950324
And another thing please go through x10MP section before asking this kind of questions!

Hey, bro!
First of all, there are no stupid questions, weŕe all learning here .
Rooting, in itself, doesnt let you play more Games/Apps.If you want to use more and especially newer apps, you will have to install a Custom ROM on your device, commonly known as flashing. A custom ROM is a is an android operating system that is different from your latest "official"(made by SonyEricsson) OS. Custom ROMs for our device are very practical, because our latest official Android version is 2.1, which doesnt support many apps. Currently, the best working custom ROMs for our Phone are the ones based on 2.3 Gingerbread.
To get the very best out of your Phone, you will have to unlock your bootloader (which is slightly risky) and flash a custom kernel, which is also part of a new Android OS(tutorials you will find in the following link).
If the procedure of unlocking your bootloader is to risky/difficult for you, there is another alternative: to flash a ROM based on your preinstalled("stock") kernel. For this you HAVE to root your phone, which doesnt have any risks and isnt difficult, install xrecovery (a program to install new ROMs) and then flash a "stock kernel based" ROM. Everything else you need to know is in this Links:
All custom ROMs and Tutorials for xrecovery:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1588192
For unlocking your bootloader:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1462278
PS.: You wont lose any on your sdcard and phone if you just root your Phone. If you flash a new ROM, you will lose the data on your Phone, but not the data on your sdcard.
