[q] any others with speaker problems on s2?? - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I got the sim free samsung galaxy s2 on the first day it launched and i also received one in the post inspite of cancelling my contract as i decided to get it sim free.
I tested everything and it works fine except for the external speaker:
there is a major crackle on voice calls and when i listen to voice mails.
when i listen to music or ringtones its sounds fine.
So i decided to try it on both phones and problem exists on them both.
Any suggestions please???

I hear the crackle too
I hear a crackle with voice calls on the galaxy s2.

Does any else have this problem. Poor audio would stop me from buying this.

I havent got a crackle

Got mine replaced
I went and returned the phone-with-the-crackling-speaker to one that doesn't.

wierd headset problem

I have "soundmagic e10m" headset which works very well with galaxy note(call receiving, mic button, music). But doesn't work well with s3.
The weird part is if I call somebody everything works well(mic, earphone). But if I receive call I can hear people talking but mic doesn't work. Can anybody help regarding this?

[Q] Phone, Pandora, and BT What a mess.

Just picked up the Note 2, synced it with the Mercedes blue-tooth and plugged the 3.5 into the phone. The other end goes straight into the sound system. Problem is that when I'm playing Pandora and get a call Pandora pauses when I answer just as it should. Only thing, the party I'm calling, or is calling me, can hear me but I can't hear them . This also happened with my S3 but was resolved when I rooted it, unlocked it, and added Kang Milestone rom and all was well. I don't know if device will react in the same way. Any ideas?

[Q] Skype speaker not working

Gentlemen,
I have a T-Mobile Galaxy S III which I've rooted and installed the latest AOKP milestone, which I really like. Here's what I'm running:
Android version: 4.2.2
Baseband version: T999UVDLJA
Kernel version: 3.4.40-aokp-g4c49719-00569-g2b8fa28
AOKP version: aokp_d2tmo_jb-mr1_milestone-1
Build number: aokp_d2tmo-userdebug 4.2.2 JDQ39
Aside from the occasional random reboot, which I can live with, the only problem I have is with Skype. It won't play audio over the loud speaker on the back of the phone. Audio only comes through the earpiece which is much too quiet. Ringing, call audio, everything plays through the earpiece. In an audio-only call, you have the option to toggle between the earpiece or the speaker, but both options just play through the earpiece.
Making a normal speakerphone call (not using Skype) works great. Skype just can't seem to use the speaker. What can I do to diagnose and fix this?
I know it sounds obvious, but I gotta ask anyway. Have you checked the settings in Skype?

Yes, I've been through all the settings and there's nothing about speaker vs. earpiece. The only option I've seen to toggle between the two is when I'm on a voice only call. However, when I've tried toggling speaker/earpiece, sound will play on the speaker for half a second then go back to earpiece.

I'm having the same problem. In my case there is no choice of speaker in Skype at all (not within setting nor while calling). I have seen some print-screens of the mobile Skype and there was as option for switching to loud speaker/headset while talking (a blue icon with speaker/headset). However, when I'm making a call, I don't have such option. I went through all sorts of discussion, but I haven't seen any solution to this.
Resolved
Regarding the option to switch speakers during a call, it's only available during a voice call. If video is enabled, the option disappears.
It seems the issue has been mostly resolved for me. I'm not sure if the problem was with CyanogenMod or Skype. Since I couldn't find a solution in May, I just abandoned using it on my phone. I didn't pick it back up until a week ago when I upgraded to CyanogenMod 10.1.0-d2tmo and got the latest Skype app (recently released). Now everything mostly works as it should. It's still buggy, but usable.
Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo.
I was searching for this Skype Bug Fix everywhere, with no success
But today I was trying everything, and my speaker started working after I putted volume less then have.
So by putting lower volume it works on my Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo (GT-I9060)

Crackling Sound

Hello,
I bought a brand new Moto Z Play and after some days, I noticed a crackling sound (noise) when hearing whatsapp voice messages. I cannot replicate this problem everytime because it is intermitent. I can hear the same voice message 10 times and it happens only once.
Does anyone have the same problem with Motorola/Lenovo phones? I owned a Moto G4 and had no complaints about it.
Any clues?
Thanks

Problem on a Mate 20 Pro with music not starting back up after a voice call/voice mes

Hi all, I have a small issue with my Mate 20 Pro and I am hoping someone here would know if there's a fix for it.
The problem is thus. If I'm using earphones and listening to music (eg. radio), if someone gives me a call or I receive a voice recording over FB messenger, after I talk to the person or listen to the message, the music won't automatically start back up. I didn't have any issues like these on my previous phone (i had an old HTC). I even had this problem with my Bluetooth speakers, but for some reason, it kind of fixed itself and now the speakers start playing the music back after a call without a problem. It's just the earphones/handsfree that I'm having issues with.
Anyone else has similar issues?
Thank you in advance.
