Opened cachelist overview; Google Road Map; Bing Road Map+Filters;
Google Satellite Map+Waypoints; OpenStreetMap+Course and distance to cache; Cache info, short description and hint
Requirements:
- touchscreen devices only
- tested on QVGA and WVGA display resolutions (I hope it works at any resolution)
- requires .NET CF 3.5
What it can do:
- displaying and following GPS position on map
- displaying course and distance to selected geocache
- sound alert if cache is near
- filtering caches according to their type and found/disabled
- simple compass for selected cache or position on map
- realtime display distance for all caches in list
- connection with GCzII using its "Google map" links
- switching between kilometers/miles and czech/english languages
- downloading map using PC
- and more...
Installation:
It's ordinary CAB install. I recommend installing to memorycard because maps can take lot of space.
NOTE: GCzII must be properly installed (using its CAB) and there must be also downloaded at least one cachelist, otherwise GCzII Tool will not start and display "GCzII directory not found".
Changing "Google map" link in GCzII to GCzII Tool:
Start GCzII -> Menu -> Option -> Google Map Settings: Select GCzIIToolGM.exe file (it is in GCzII Tool directory).
Now you can start GCzII Tool directly from GCzII using "Google map" commands.
Known issues:
- GPS on COM port is really slow and unstable. It's better to use GPS Intermediate Driver.
Changelog
GCzII Tool v1.0 (build 4349) (28th Nov 2011)

Thank you!

Works great!
Seems to work great on my LG CT810 Incite running wm6.1... I can't wait to put it to use in the field!
Thank you very much,
- firm ware (Mike)
Perhaps is possible to zoom in, when your are in the map mode.
It would be nice, if I can decide to store map tiles with different zoom factors (and perhaps satellite and map). Then in the map I can switch between the selected maps (to zoom or to change between sat and map)
docfred
firm ware: You're wellcome.
docfred: You can display larger map using View->Magnifier.
Maybe it is also possible to switch between map zoom levels using Q and A keys. But I have some problems with keyboard assignments (on my TP2, it is ok in WM emulator) so this feature is "work in progress".
I'll think about downloading multiple map types/zooms because sometimes I miss it too.
This looks interesting.
When can we expect to see a non-touch screen version for smart phones?

I've found the mangnifier, but ist this another map or just a scaled version of the actual bitmap?
I have a HTC HD2 and for me it is not so good to use keybord keys, because there is only a soft keyboard. I think a menu entry in the left menu will be a first solution. In my Opinion two semi transparent buttons in one edge of the display will the best.
Perhaps it is possible to decide first which map (and in which resolution) I want to have offline on my phone (For example from the region I will spent my holidays). The "zoom" function will then switch between these maps.
I don't know if all the data shown by clicking on the icon are from the kml-file?
If you grab data from the cache definition in the folder, it would be interesting to talk about what has to be shown.
If you need a beta tester (HTC HD2), contact me
great job!
docfred
Psyberdude: I don't know. I found that smartphones don't support buttons and tabcontrols. It would be very complicated to remove these and use supported controls.

Magnifier: Yes, magnifier is just scaled version of current zoom.
Zoom: Ok, I'll try to add some +/- icons to edge of the map. But it won't be semi-transparent because .NET CF don't support semi-transparency. It is possible to use system API for transparency but it is pretty slow. BTW I experimented with OpenGL ES rendering but unfortunatelly it was even slower than current "software" map rendering. (But it could be my fault because I don't really understand OpenGL)
Cache data: I'm using cache data from Cache_DB directory. I only use KML when receiving command from "Google map" button in GCzII. (Then I read cache codes from it and use Cache_DB as well). What would you like to be shown?
WM5 and GCzII Tool
Hi jenda.69, application is not written for WM5?
martinhe: I tried it and it works. But I probably disabled it in installer Sorry. I'll fix it in next build.
not to hijack the thread, and this looks like a good tool, but I am having trouble with gczii after the geocaching.com update on the 4th. Anyone else? I have win mob 6.5 and the program will no longer find caches under any option.

Hi,
Looks Like A Great Tool, but i have one problem.
On maps its not showing my Position. (GPS is on ,some green bars)
Option Follow GPS in on.
My Hardware is a Artemis
Do you have GPS fix?
This icon means that GPS is starting up and has no fix yet (so it doesn't show any position):
This is that GPS has fix and it should display position on map:
I've found a problem. If you want to show the caches of a cache list, the program will crash if not all the caches are already downloaded. (the .xml-file of the cache is missing)
docfred
I don't have any problems with it...
Do you mean it crashes on loading cachelist or opening menu Options->Caches or something else?
Could you post crash details? (I mean this one screenshot)
Thank you!

that is a very nice application, i tried it and change the skin too. now have registered program courtesy of ipmart forum ;-)
It is a very nice app, easy to use and together with FTouchFlo its awesome!
Credit to efrost for this GREAT appz
Overview
FTouchFlo is the program which gives you possibility to control with your Windows Mobile PDA without using stylus but with your finger!
It allows scrolling contents of windows in most of applications (Outlook, File explorer, MS Word, Notes, Contacts etc.) where vertical or horizontal scroll bars are! Along with scrolling feature FTouchFlo provides launching functionality. You will be able to start up to 4 your favorite applications just sliding your finger on the touch screen in one of four directions.
Instructions:
1. Scrolling and standard windows behavior: To scroll contents of a window with vertical or horizontal scroll bar you have to touch your screen and immediately start scrolling by moving your finger. You have just a few milliseconds (Delay) between the moment you’ve touched the screen and started scrolling. If you’ll not start scrolling immediately, your PDA will be working as usual (standard windows behavior function): you’ll be able to select text or use tap-n-hold function to invoke context menu.
2. Zones: There are 2 zones of touch screen controlled by FTouchFlo:
Zone “1” is always used for scrolling or “standard windows behavior” functions. Zone 2 might be also used for launching up to 4 your favorite applications.
Note: Scrolling and “Standard windows behavior” functions are also available in the Zone 2.
3. Launching: To launch one of four predefined applications you can use four different gestures: Down->Up, Up->Down, Left->Right, Right->Left.
Note: You should always start gestures for launching applications from the Zone 2!
Note: You should start moving your finger almost immediately (GestureWaitingDelay) after you’ve touched the screen!
• Down-Up gesture should be started from the bottom of the screen and you should move your finger to the 1/3 of screen in the direction to the top of screen: • Up->Down gesture should be started from the top of screen and you should move your finger to the 1/3 of screen in the direction to the bottom of screen;
• Left->Right gesture should be started from the left of screen and you should move your finger to the 1/3 of screen in the direction to the right of screen;
• Right->Left gesture should be started from the right of screen and you should move your finger to the 1/3 of screen in the direction to the left of screen.
4. Excluded applications. This feature allows you to restrict FTouchFlo control gestures when some application is running. It is useful in case if the application natively supports scrolling with finger function or gestures.
5. Disabled when SIP is active. FTouchFlo will be automatically disabled when you have SIP (Software Input Panel) active, so you can use Block Recognizer, Letter Recognizer and other SIPs without taking into account that FTouchFlo is running.
Limitations
1. Transcriber is not supported.
2. Scrolling doesn’t works in MSExcel, Resco Photo Viewer and some other applications with unusual approach how to use scrollbars.
3. Windows internal calibration application will not be working while FTouchFlo is running.
Licensing, using, copyrights etc.
1. You can use FTouchFlo for non-commercial purposes free of charge.
2. You can include FTouchFlo in your ROMs with notice about FTouchFLo copyright.
3. You can distribute FTouchFlo together with your application with notice about FTouchFlo copyright.
4. All rights to FTouchFlo belong to FTouchFlo developers.
5. You can use FTouchFlo on your own risk.
6. FTouchFlo developers are not responsible for any problems caused by using FTouchFlo.
Troubleshooting
If the touch screen is not responding, it might be caused by FTouchFlo. Just softreset the device.
Changes in 1.4.1:
1.Exclude debug feature from "Excluded programs"
Changes in 1.4:
1. Fixed a few bugs causing not stable behavior (freezing, white-screen or so.).
2. Fixed LeftRightAppCmdLine parameter parsing.
3. Fixed "Excluded programs" list.
4. Display orientation now checked for each point. Hope issues with "incorrect calibration" in landscape mode on some devices will be solved.
5. Whole application optimization.
6. Added scrolling in "Agenda One" windows. Changed scrollable window searching algorithm.
7. Added possibility to turn off scrolling function. New parameter "DisableScroll" with possible values: 0 - scrolling enabled and 1 - scrolling disabled. For example, to disable scrolling in all windows put DisableScroll:1 to the configuration file.
Guys you can also use the minimize.exe with • Up->Down gesture to minimize any program easily~!!

Both working great especially FTouchFlo!!
For Touch Commander, beside being RAM hungry, it has a bug.
I encountered error after tryin to change the link in the cube that originally launch the camera/wm player/video. The TC failed to start and had to be reinstall

I installed Touch Commander on my WM6 ATOM AKU 070 and it seemed to work fine at the beginning. But once I started using it and started adding Contacts and Applications into it, it started giving problems and then it finally crashed and died on me
Anyone with a similar experience?
I have been using TouchCommander for a week now without issues, Im sorry to hear ppl are having trouble, consider the possibility of conflicting software and perhaps trial and error.

Hello mates,
I have been using this nice app, for a week now and I like a lot. I have experienced some problems linking to some apps (MemMaid crushes all the time), but now I think I got it in a good shape. I have also changed the WMP/camera/video links with the following with no problems: Audio Manager/Photo Viewer/Core Player. As for the FTouchFlo, I'm having problems using the LeftToRight and RightToLeft gestures. Any way, it works fine for me and I have also made a copy of the Settings folder, so in case of a malfunction or crash (due to a new link or what ever else), I just copy/paste/replace it and it's good to go again.
TouchCommander make my camera stupid~ HELP ~!
I have some question.... after i install 'TouchCommander'...everything in my O2 atom life still work well...when i removed... my camera manual button (a small button beside the mobile) can't work...everytime u press, it appear an error window >> " The file 'TouchCommander' cannot be opened. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file." wat should i do.... i tried reinstall but still the same problem... any PRO can help me... ?

S2V is a stylus-free picture viewing application. It can also be used to set up the wallpapers for S2U2 (0.97 or later); assign a pic to a contact; set it as Today's wallpaper; or send it via MMS/email.
Prerequisition:
- WM5 Phone or WM6 Professional devices
- free RAM: at least 6M for QVGA
- if you cannot start S2V, delete the whole registry tree HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\A_C\S2V, then start S2V again.
Changes of v0.42
- fixed the occasional bug that S2V quit unexpectedly when viewing a particular folder.
- added the options to change the sorting menu symbol. It's only useful for those devices that cannot display the triangles on the sorting menu. How? Create a registry value AscendingSymbol (String) at \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\A_C\S2V\, set the content to whatever you want, e.g. ^, or even a word (ascending). Create another one called DescendingSymbol for the descending order.
- fixed some minor bugs.
Changes of v0.40 (20-8-2008)

}
- added sort option by time or name.
- added thumbnail pic cache (the cache folder can be custom by the registry value "CacheFolder" at \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\A_C\S2V\).
- added send function to send a pic via MMS/email.
- added sliding effect when zooming a pic.
- added support to RealVGA.
- reduced the chances of blank screen when a device has enough memory.
- separate CAB files for QVGA(low-res) & VGA(high-res) devices.
- changed some menu labels; for non-English translation, pls refer to the lang.ini file.
- fixed some minor bugs.
Changes of v0.38 (23-5-2008)
- added a delete function.
- added option to open a pic through the command switch (for advanced users, you can now associate pic files to be opened by S2V).
- added some shortcuts: ANSWER key to quit; END/OK key to minimize; tap the top right corner to minimize.
- reduced the RAM usage a little.
- reduced the contact pic size so as to reduce the chance of Outlook sync error (but for VGA or above devices, there is still chances that the pic will over the size that Outlook can handle).
- all system icons are live when S2U2 (v1.00 or later) is already running in the background.
- fixed the issue that some devices cannot run in Landscape mode.
- fixed some minor bugs.

This version of Meteoray has been totally rewritten from the start, this done so that finally a weather tab worthy of its name is available also for Manila2D, with automatic offline hourly updates.
No comparison in our opinion, to the ineffective and statics forecasts that this interface has as standard. No necessary patch for Manila, no altered dll , no external server dedicated.
Very easy to use; It is possibile to easily obtain the forecasts for any location present in the database of Accuweather (over 2.7 million locations). This version is aided by the weather forecasts of "Accuweather.com", elaborating the data which is freely available on the internet enabling it to be shown correctly in the weather tab.
MeteoRay is "Donationware", therefore you are totally free to say a simple "thankyou" or to make a donation to the programmers (My daughter and myself) to add an incentive for further development, correction of bugs, release of new projects.
It is our intention, within the shortest possible time (considering that programming for us isn’t a profession but a passion) to expand the program with new features making it along the same lines as the Italian version shown here:

Installation
It couldn’t be any easier: Just open up the zip file and copy the obtained folders wherever you want to. Preferably, but not absolutely necessary, copy them to the internal memory of the pda due to the slightly slower start up time of external memories such as SD, miniSD or Micro SD. Wherever the folders are placed the software will autodetect the paths needed and will act accordingly.
Requirements
Manila2D interface working normally (obviously) and the presence on the PPC of .Net Framework (freely downloadable from the Microsoft website however present in most of the cooked roms). Put in a number of locations inferior or the same as those set up before hand on your Manila2D interface, up to a total of no more than 5 on MeteoRay. The locations chosen in Manila2d can be any provided; It will be MeteoRays job to change them into the locations you have chosen for the software If for example you wish to choose 5 locations in MeteoRay you must first put 5 or more in Manila2D before updating.
Options description
A few options to simplify the use ,from top to bottom:
- ACCUWEATHER LOGO Opens Opera (if present) or Pocket Internet Explorer on the www.accuweather.com homepage
- ENGLISH/METRIC with this switch you are able to download the data directly in Fahrenheit or Celsius, this way you will avoid the bug present in Manila2D relating to the conversion from Fahrenheit to Celsius (not very accurate)
- BOX for CHOICE OF LOCATION put in a number of locations inferior or the same as those set up before hand on your Manila2D interface, up to a total of no more than 5 on MeteoRay. The real difference being that you are able to choose your own. The code that you must put in is that used at Accuweather.com; at the first start up of the software it will show 5 pre-programmed locations in the UK to use as an example.
- "EXPLORER ICONS" each of them opens the corresponding page of Weather Forecast AccuWeather (online)
- UPDATE use this for normal updates of the weather forecast. The forecasts downloaded will be for 3 days, and for 3 days the software will work offline putting the necessary weather icons in the correct place in the Manila2D. To reset the update interval, just do a normal Manila2D update before downloading the forecasts with MeteoRay. However, the Manila2D normally does this operation when the PPC is connected to the PC using Activesync
- >> use this to move over the screen of advanced options.. Also using the key << you can return the to first page. The advanced options aloe the selection and the download of the Satellite Animations from the whole world in .gif format. They will be saved in the directory "Meteo" and can be visualised using your preferred programme
- EXIT does this need explaining?
- INFO Information about this software.
Normal use
Meteoray downloads the necessary data to enable it to work correctly through any working connection on your PPC. Needless to say that it is ideal to update using "free connections" such as WI-FI, Bluetooth or Activesync. The data shown is that relative to the next 5 hourly steps (for example, if it is 21.12, Meteoray will show the forecast for 22.00 in large numbers and in small numbers it will show the forecasts for 23:00, 00:00. 01:00, 02:00) The second temperature in the small icons at the bottom is the "Realfeel" (the temperature that is actually felt by the human body depending on the wind, humidity etc).
Removal
Very easy : just remove the folder containing the software. On reaching the first hourly step you will get an error (then there will be others; basically the PPC is trying to use the software that has been removed)
For those who really want to remove all: you could remove the whole key "MeteoRay" from "HKCU - Software" to eliminate any trace of use from the registry, the file "MeteoRay.png" from the directory "\Windows" and you have finished. The others can leave everything as it is, it takes up just a very few Kb of space and there are no further consequences.
What is and isn’t allowed
You are free to include the links to the MeteoRay Forum to enable the download of the installation file, but Not allowed to enable those files to be directly downloaded from your Website, Blog, ftp etc...
For a very simple reason: To make it easier for the user during the update. To have on the web various versions, obsolete, incomplete or bugged won’t help you, in fact it will do the complete opposite .You are also allowed to include the software as it is , (without making any changes to it), to your own personalised roms. Just one suggestion, do it in such a way to allow the files to be overwritten to simplify any eventual updates.
Final notes
Unfortunately our English isn’t the best; this page has been translated for us, but our future replies won’t always be as grammatically correct. We are counting on the "XDA-Dev Power Users" for the most obvious replies to be given to the less knowledgeable Users. Thankyou in advance for your cooperation.
Important
At the moment it is only possibile to use MeteoRay with locations in your own time zone; after receiving your feedback and views about this present version we will further rewrite the software routines to eliminate this annoying limitation. This will allow MeteoRay to be able to easily visualise also the time in different time zones, therefore working as a mini-time converter (useful for those who travel or even just for curiosity).
If you are satisfied with the work that has been carried out up to now, you could offer us a pizza or a beer...
Enjoy it, Davide & Federica Ippolito

ok thanks great app i thought i was doing something wrong
Thanks for your consideration.
I could also implement an internal viewer (and probably I will do in the future), when I'm working on offline html report summarizing the Weather Forecast in table like this:
Great i look forward to using future versions and a lookaround your forum thanks
Interesting Man.
Will try asap. Thanks a lot.
Please enjoy

Thanks, my friend! If this topic will be followed with interest, even this version will have soon the same features of the Italian...
At this moment has already been downloaded 58 times and this topic 815 read... any comment? Some impression of use?
Really cool app!!
If you can implement summarization, it would be outstanding. Or you can give options to set offline update steps to more then 1 hour. for having, like half day review
Thanks for your comment, cadac.
I can certainly implement summarizations and more, but before I continue working on I would understand if it can affect the Users.
And 'I will improve the graphics but, I repeat, is important for me read your impressions of actual use.
Problem whn pressing "update"
I have an HTC Touch Viva with Manila2D v.3.0 build 31508. I have put "MeteoRay AW 1.2" in the Program Files folder.
I get two basic4ppc errors when pressing "Update": "__main_aggmeteo" and "__main_assegnadati".
Check your internet connection.
It is not yet optimized handling errors, but the messages you read are due to a failure to update.
PS - 158 downloads at this moment, no others comments or suggestions?
How do I get this to work with US locations? Especially the ones not in the default Manilla 2D weather database.
Thanks

I think it does... although I've not tested it on a real device of other sizes yet.
Please do feel free to try it and let me know
the touchHD is wvga and navmi does almost perfect on it.
Switching between apps does bring the winMo taskbar back into the picture tho and consequently that covers part of the function buttons.
Not a major problem.
Tho I did click the winMo 'Ok' button (top right taskbar corner) once and navmi asked whether I wanted to proceed, as logging would be canceled. After clicking 'No' it canceled anyway, toughy...

I'll take a look at the switching thing - that doesn't happen on my Omnia when I use Samsung's cube button task switcher thing. What are you using to switch on the HD?
As for the "No" problem... I've just checked the code and it definitely should work OK...
I use Quickmenu to replace the regular startmenu and following your comment I switched back to regular and indeed, no more winMo taskbar pop-over... good stuff!
Wow, been after something like this for ages but havent got round to looking! Will try to get to grips with it before my next snow boarding trip so i can see how far i rode!! Good work!!
HollyWolf, are you the coder of this?
Also, add Samsung Omnia to the list of working phones. Works fine on mine.

Excellent - thanks for letting me know
Yes, I am the coder - I've taken AndyZ's GPS Cycle Computer as a start, merged in lots of code from Runsat and am loving writing code
What use using to write it in and with what language?
Also, is there a "how to use" guide at all?
Cheers
Almost all written in C# compact framework - 2.0.
There's no manual yet - so best to write here or on navmi.com if you have a question.
Thanks hollywoof, sure am gonna try this!
Looks great - gonna give it a try!
thumbs up +1
hollywoof, will there be an option to import kml or gpx files in the future? Would be nice if I could add the runs from RunSaturday to navmi. This way I have totals on my Omnia.
Installed it, looks very nice. Will test it soon while running.
I'll have a play in a bit on the HD2, pity it's snowing so much, I've not got a chance to get out in the velomobile to see how accurate it is.
One thing that is missing from gpscyclecomputer is a seperate EXIT function..
Using winmo 6.5.x versions (with the bottom buttons) you cant close the app, short of using a secondary taskmanager, so if you can include something along those lines (not tried it yet) then that would be great (and future proof it a bit).
I'm intrigued by the lapfunction, how is it going to work? I've tried a couple of other ones in the past, that haven't been quite as obvious as could be.
Especially when racing, I tend to find that pressing something is a no-no (especially cycling at 35mph and above on a 440m velodrome yo can lap quite quickly) and some of the others don't seem to realise that when you go past the place you started logging then that's the end of the first lap.
anyway, glad to see someone has taken on the basics of andyzaps app looking forward to seeing how it progresses.

I've written the GPX/KML code for course following (similar to the GCC's implementation), but I'd not thought about syncing all activities/the totals that way - maybe I'll give that a try! I do want to sync photos in as well at some point.
As another alternative I was considering writing a separate runsaturday app...
Thanks for the feedback - you're helping to make the app better

You should be able to close the app by:
- " - pausing the activity
- square - stopping the activity
- home - go to home page
- exit - exit
- yes - I really want to exit
But maybe that is a bit too long winded. I'm mainly testing on 6.5 (Omnia II) so I know it works there...

The autolap currently goes off measured distance - you can set up the autolap distance in the settings for each sport and then the just laps whenever it measures that you've reach the distance.
From personal experience of athletics tracks, I doubt you will get very good performance for cycling around a velodrome - it's just not a nice track for GPS to estimate distance... the estimation errors really build up around the circle :/ For example, I once did a 6 hour track race (normal 400m track) - and my Garmin 301 was almost 10% inaccurate compared to the lap counter. Some of this was due to me not always taking the inside lane, but (looking at the recorded track) most of it was just down to nasty GPS readings. Surprisingly that 10% was an overestimate, not an underestimate. In more normal runs, I think I'd expect my Garmin to be 1-2% accurate?

I've now seen this too... looks like a winmo/compact framework issue (as the code looks right) - I'll look into a workaround to fix it!
How do you import map files?? I can't find anything in the prog nor do i understand the folder structure in the maps folder?

By default navmi uses downloaded maps from an OpenStreetMap server - as selected under Settings->Maps - the default is a fairly easy to read Navmi format served from CloudMade.
If you want these to download live during your ride, then on the "Plotting" page, choose "Auto download maps"
Personally, I tend to download maps offline - before I head out running - I'm on prepay! I do this by connecting to the web over ActiveSync or WiFi, starting an activity (that I never intend to keep), waiting until I get some GPS lock, switching the display to the map page and then scrolling around the UI to download all the areas I want to.
This OSM format maps is the main direction I want to continue moving forwards - it's easiest (requires least effort!). When you use this the structure in the maps folder is split up using zoom levels, then latitudes -it's a structure that's easy for navmi to read, but it's not a structure you want to play with yourself!
Beyond OSM, navmi also supports (adapted from the GCC code) a couple of alternative ways to use maps. To use any of these other methods, you must:
1. select "off" on the Maps settings
2. do not check Auto download maps
3. use File Explorer to ensure that the navmi maps folder is empty
With these 3 steps done... you can create your own maps using your PC - see instructions in line 547 and beyond in http://code.google.com/p/gccv2/source/browse/trunk/GpsCycleComputer/Readme.htm
I know at least one person is currently using GPS Tuner .gmi files with navmi - if you are, then please feel free to post with advice.
Hope that helps - sorry it's a bit long winded!

Description
Quick Links are okay, but you can not have a quicklink for everything. Or are you just conservative and want to have a launching tool on your PPC? WiMoRun enables you to run programs typing in their name or a keyword. You can start all executable applications within the whole device. With the T9 panel you can choose your apps even faster.
It runs on Windows Mobile > 6.0
If you have ideas to improve this app just let me know.
Features
- run programs by typing their names
- tag programs to get an alias i.e. calc will open favourite calculator
- autocomplete list in realtime
- application cache to boost speed
- T9 input panel for faster searching
- skinnable UI

Feedback
Feedback and reporting are desired, new feature requests, too.
I'd say it would be useful, especially if you save a list of recent applications, which is missing in 6.5. Dotfred's task manager has a run tool, and I use it all the time (it saves mru's).
I think with the Auto-Complete feature this app will be a time-saver, specially when you want to run or open something from Windows folder (you have scroll a long list to find what you want).
Thanks for your efforts!
Version 0.2 is online.
Improvements are a finger friendlier control-size and an autocomplete feature.
I like this app idea a lot.
Here are my suggestions:
- As you type, it presents a filtered list (filtering in real time) all the apps that fits the match as you type. Then you can just type the first few letters and select the app. Think of how Windows 7's start menu works. You start typing and it immediately gives you matches and gradually filters the list down as you type.
- A custom T-9 input panel, which can work with the above filtering feature as a more finger friendly alternative. It would work exactly as the dialer's numerical pad does to filter out your contacts by the letters associated with each number.
- Custom keywords for apps. Basically you can associate keywords with apps. So let's say you use Pocket Informant as you calendar app, but you just want to type 'calendar', you can associate it and it will launch it.

Genius idea!!!
Thanks for fast update!
I try it now.
Great application, really useful! Looking forward to updates.
Great Idea, could better
Hi i like the idea,
Autocomplete in this form is nice but imho its not practical enough, i still have to know the exact name of the app.
Have a look at "lauchy"for the pc, when you type it lists all applications that have the letters in them you type, regardless of the position.
So if you type "expl" you would get a list with "explorer" and "file explorer".
Cheers Marco
Thanks for your first feedbacks.
I will try to improve autocomplete and give a list of programs to chose matching the criteria. I also like the idea to tag programs. A T9-like input panel will also be on my list.
Very good idea but not a new one. This is basically a launcher program. Everyone, check out ZLaunchy program, it has t9 keypad and runs programs, contacts, docs, etc. I have assigned it to a hard button.
ZLaunchies Description says it only uses the programs in the start menu. WiMoRun is designed especially for those programs you might not have in a quick link program. running docs, contacts or other stuff may be integrated, too here
This is off topic and I apologize for that.
the pictures in the first post have fingerkeyboard2 with wider keys than the default one. I have been searching and trying to understand how to install a fingerkeyboard skin with wider keys (the default fingerkeyboard2 are smaller than the stock HTC HD2 keys).
Again, I apologies for this off topic remark, but this is the first time I found someone that has an example of what I have been looking for in a long time... and I have searched the forum.
@davidshooki
Please use private message instead. if you write me your email I can give you the CAB I use

Version 0.4 is out now. I integrated an autocomplete list substituting the one line autocompletion. Buttons are now replaced with softkeys. The program is also able to save tags/keywords now. If you type in the keyword, the linked application is opened.
a T9 panel is not yet implemented, I think that needs a little time.

Yes you're right.
but zlaunchy has a variety of features which your app should have as well(search via t9, search in contacts etc.).
zlaunchy is a great model for for winmorun since it's so lookalike.
As I remembered there was a win mobile smartphone app that had a lot of functions.
looked for files, sms, programs, contacts, it even calculated a formula if you inserted numbers(ex. you inserted 2+2 and it returned 4 on the result list)
I lost that app when I changed to winmo pro since it was shipped only with that phone model.
It was called VOQ from the sierra wireless VOQ phone.
Version 0.5 posted.
Now all executable files are held in this list. It doesn't matter if it's in the Windows or Programs directory.
To avoid long startup times the program generates an application cache. It can be renewed out of the options menu.
have fun
edit:
just fixed a bug and promoted it to 0.5a

version 0.7 is out now, but only for VGA. graphics scaling for lowres devices does not work the way I want it to. Maybe I'll find some nicer controlls, too.

Nice job! Here's an ico group, if you want it. It looks pretty good in the start menu (it's just hacked from shell32.dll).
