The browser is the most used feature on my phone but its a PITA because of this issue, when I touch a link to open in a new window I generally get what is shown in the first screen and I need the window from the second screen. I'm having to zoom all the way in most of the time and its a real pain. I have this problem with all browsers and have checked the browser settings but no luck, anyone have any idea how I can fix this? I didn't have this problem on my Droid X. Thanks

You may get better and more detailed responses if you tell us a little about what Rom you are running and any tweaks you have applied browser or otherwise. Only time you should get a popup like that is with long press.
Then again no idea what you browser tweaks you have applied.
I also have a Droid X and as general browsing goes I do not have any problem like you describe.
It does happen with a long press, but when I long press a link I should get what you see in the second screen, not what is in the first, the first screen is what should happen when you long press on text or another part of the page other than a link. I use dolphin hd mainly but this happens in all browsers that I checked. I'm currently running das bamf v1.6.2, but I also had the problem on v1.5, 1.6, 1.6.1 and stock roms. I think its just because the screen isn't accurate but wasn't sure if anyone knew of a fix.

It's by far my favorite launcher but has anyone else noticed instability in the last few updates?
I have noticed it. It's really screwing up my phone. It lags so bad now. What have you been noticing?
Tons of lag, but it's fixable if you go to advanced settings, memory settings, and turn off cache. Restarting the phone into recovery, going to other, and then fixing uid mismatches after turning off cache fixes it. Hopefully the dev will fix it completely and let us still use cache.
Turns out it was just my phone. I went back to just the sense and the phone is still extremely slow.
Verizon is sending me my second replacement.
huh... I'll try vanilla.
Really love it so far, especially the landscape view on home screen, and not to mention the multiple docks(3). I haven't noticed any lag at all, but that could be because it's running off the sd card. Also, the 3d app drawer is pretty cool, a nice change, and a refreshing way to browse the app drawer.

No lag here, I love Launcher Pro. I'm on CELB 2.7
If I'm the last to know you can make fun of me. Just read in my Get Started user guide if you hit the back button instead of the home button it turns the app off.
That's why I always seem to have several apps running
I hit home a lot, now I know
Enjoying my 3vo
in android the background processes barely touch the battery it's managed well and you don't have to worry about them being open.

Bwahahahahahahah!!!!
With that out of the way, there are some really poorly coded apps that kill the battery even if it's not doing anything in the background. Even if the app does not, it takes away available memory, though it's usually not that much.
P.S. The first line is a joke .
any app that you can close with the back button(android has always done this as far as i know) you can also close in the task manager
but ive tested. not all apps close with the back button(still shows as running in Applications). probably something the dev of the app needs to allow
On a recent trip I decided to use Google Navigation on my WI-FI tablet while tethered to my phone, in doing so I noticed that the screen looked odd as in the screen shot below:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I also ran into a problem were it began to not only give direction it was also reading out load the html behind the route.
Today I decided to undo the update that was applied and the screen once again looks like the original:
Has anyone ran into this issue and does your screen look like any of these two?
i guess no one is having this problem ...
Mine looks weird too.
I have never the app used though. wifi-only.
yeah i got that too...i updated my tab apps few hours before....its kinda weird....someone give a good solution
I'm wifi also but I tether to my phone when I go out and don't have access to Wi-Fi. The only way I've figured to fix it is to remove the update, everything works after that. Beware if you install it.
Issue Solved
Looks like the update to 3.2 corrected this issue. The screen now looks polished and functional.
Does anyone have/see video garbage with CM and AOKP roms? Whenever something is moving on my screen (could be an animated banner in a browser, a video, me flipping desktop pages or scrolling through apps), I see tiny lines attached to icons and text everywhere.
When things stop moving, over 1-2 seconds, I see less and less and after a few seconds they disappear but they come right back if something moves.
It's hard to illustrate but I tried to replicate what I see with a screen capture and a bit of editing.
Looks like this basically
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
The lines seem to "Attach" to random and different pixels non-stop. I tried with just the ROM and then the rom and Joel's kernel but same thing.
If I restore my nandroid of Vigor360, I don't get the same issue but AOKP or CM I get that screen noise.
I don't notice anything like that, and I specifically looked for it after you posted. The worst I've had are screen flickers, and those are gone since the 9/10 build.
I've never noticed it.
Hello everyone.
I've recently upgraded my Gingerbread-Based RAZR to ICS. My Rom is middle eastern version by the way.
Everything seems fine except the problem I have with the touch in the Internet browser and Facebook. when I touch a search result in the browser or a picture in Facebook for example, an orange frame appears somewhere else and navigates me to some other link or picture! The thing is, when I hold my finger on the result/picture I tend to open, the orange frame comes to where it should be and the correct link/picture will be opened.This problem only happens with apps related to the internet, and the touch works perfectly fine in any other apps/environments.
I made a factory reset and installed miui rom on my Razr, and no matter how lovely the Miui theme is, the results are the same.
Does anyone else have had a similar issue? Any ideas what should I do?
I have attached a screenshot. Maybe it clarifies my problem.
