I am running ED01 with the Community 1.2 ROM and everything is working well. I have set both the TSM settings and the Display settings to use the Puzzle Unlock pattern and I have configured the phone with a PIN lock. Whenever I receive a phone call I am displayed with the swype pattern to answer the call.
Is it possible to change this to the puzzle unlock pattern instead? The default ED01 ROM had this as a possibility but it appears to be lost in the custom ROM.

Hello, all!
I recently installed MiLocker with a nice five-way app ring, and have it tweaked to use Dolphin HD instead of the standard browser, etc. Looks great, works great! I have noticed, however, that it disables the standard Android security lock (i.e., pattern, PIN or password). At first, I thought there was something in my Tasker profile or the CyanogenMod settings causing this, but I've ruled that out. It appears that MiLocker not only replaces the Android slide lock, but also the security lock.
Does anyone know if it is possible to use MiLocker in conjunction with the Android security lock? In other words, I would like the MiLocker screen to be displayed when the phone wakes up, I select the app from the five-way ring, and then my usual pattern lock comes up. As it is now, using MiLocker disables access security on the phone, which I don't like.
This is on an HTC Desire Z running CM7.
Anyone? It appears that MiLocker simply prevents the phone from locking at all, since none of the CM settings related to display and security lock are honoured (like lock delay).
I only get the ICS lockscreen which is locked with a pattern so I have the risk of missing a call.
If I understand your question correctly, your lockscreen only works if you set a pattern? Depending on your ROM you can adjust the timeout for the lockscreen so that it locks right away vs. waiting a few minutes.
As far as getting to the dialer screen, you have to unlock it and open the phone app. More details will help though:
What ROM are you on?
Does the lockscreen work without a pattern/pin?
When someone calls you and your device is locked, what happens? Does it go to voicemail right away or does it show that someone is calling?
No.. I just get the ICS lockscreen when I receive a call, no answer-decline buttons. So I have to unlock the phone first before I can accept the call. This is because I have the sense dialler with the ICS lockscreen.
Is there an ICS dialler I can install to make the incoming callscreen showup in the ICS lockscreen?
I know what you mean, I installed the stock ics contacts and dialer app from the themes section and tried freezing the HTC dialer, didn't work and calls still come in on the HTC dialer. It may be part of sense?

Oh OK I understand you know. Sorry. You can try an app like widget locker which provides different style lock screens. That shouldn't interrupt your calls. It worked well for me.
Sent from my AOSP 3VO
If you're using something like leedroid tweaks to switch the lockscreen (at least over sense 3.6, that's all I've tried it on), there's no way to make calls show up on the lock screen. For now, at least, you have to unlock and open the app if you want to use AOSP lock screen on Sense (3.6 only? Haven't tried any other version.)
is it possible to have shortcuts with the Pattern unlock lock screen?
I would like to have shortcurts to the Camera and Dialer while still have security provided with a Pattern unlock.
Is this possible with a completely stock (no rooting no anything) S III on Verizon?
Or do I need to install one of those lock screen apps? I'd prefer to remain completely stock for now if possible..

If you had shortcuts of any kind, that would kill the security.........
I wish Google would implement their Touch Gesture Actions From A Device’s Lock Screen idea asap... providing shortcut functionality without sacrificing security would be better than those 3rd party lock screens.

Not sure about defining shortcuts. but i used pattern lock and if I hold finger on screen, rotate to landscape, then swipe pattern, it launches camera.
if i have a missed call or text there is a circle on the lock screen with the qty and if i swipe off that circle then enter pattern it takes me right to that app (missed calls or messaging).

I don't care about security for the camera or dialer.
I know there is the camera motion shortcut thing but I like the clickable widget better. I want to have the capability to define widgets on the lock screen like you can when you don't have any security. But I want it with the pattern unlock. I guess this is not available out of the box? And needs a special app?

I would like the same thing... you can get it on the standard swipe to unlock so why not the pattern lock... I have tried various lockscreens but their not without their flaw...
Widget locker.. has lots of customisation and you can add custom sliders and widgets but... its buggy prone to crashing and takes a fair bit of tweaking to be secure (ie if you dont select correct setting you can unlock with just the home key) , sometimes have to unlock twice and it always request superuser access even when the phone is in standy ... so drains battery more than it should.
Go Locker - didnt like this at all just didnt seem secure... first version could be bypassed easily... plent of themes though if security is not a priority.
after discovering the world of custom ROM's i've found the RR rom, witch is wonderful for me.
after using a couple of versions of RR i've stumbled upon one tiny small sort of "lock breach".
when you wake your device from sleep the lockscreen appears with the "slide to unlock" (apple please don't sue me for using this phrase)
there is a possibility to slide down the toggles statusbar and from there you can open every app that is there and then the screen unlocks.
it is not such a big "lock breach" but sometimes when my phone is in my pocket there's a situations that this is just unlocking my phone
and causes to randoly starting apps becouse of the lack of screen lock.
the question is: does it should be like that or it's just something that the dev's just didn't noticed?
I have the same on Stock Samsung ROM. I just assumed it did this as I have not included any security (e.g. PIN code or Pattern lock)
Does it behave the same with these enabled?
EDIT::
If you enable any security on Stock, the Notification bar doesn't pull down at all

don't know about stock, had stock ROM only for couple of hours.
also tried with pattern and PIN and can't pull down the bar.
maybe it should be like this.
but still is there a way to lock this bar even with the slide lockscreen?
Hi everyone -- on our phone we have an option to edit the vibration pattern, but for the life of me, every time I get a text message, it's just the standard vibration. I am using Jedi ROM but I've noticed this on pretty much every ROM I've tried (Beans, CleanROM). I'm using the Stock Messaging app as well. Does anyone have a solution? Kernel is latest saberkernel.
Thanks!
Are you talking about setting the vibration to a custom vibration or to another built in vibration?
As far as I know, you cannot change the vibration pattern in the stock TW messaging app. However, if you have the AOSP messaging app (this is an option in aroma when you install beans), then you can change the vibration pattern to one of about 5 options, and you even have the option to make your own and set it.
The option you see to edit the vibration pattern edits the vibration pattern for phone calls.
