All future roms will be built from source, I will not modify anyone elses work anymore.
It's not easy being green.
Step 1: Read this whole page.
Step 2: If your coming from another rom, do a nandroid backup, wipe and then flash.
Step 3: Flash all patches.
Step 4: If errors occur give detailed info and version.

This is a Mytouch Slide Rom, it is based off CM6.

I'm sure it's a fine ROM. Actually, I'm not sure. But it sounds good.
Too bad there's not many Espresso themed base ROM's. I'm sticking with CM_ROM.

how in the world do you get the sense clock widget on the adw launcher?
You a mc cant thats dependent on sense and sense needs htc framework soooo, only wasy for that is sense, but I use fancy wodget which it a replica of it that works on every launcher

yeah i had the fancy widget at one point in time, but that was on my g1, and it has been taken off the market since then. google search did the job just fine though. thanks.

Array is there a way that i can take your custom slide status bar and put it on a cm6 rom? would u be able to post the files needed for it? i like the status bar from the stock slide sense rom and i see you put it in your rom.

Yea I tried that but when i loaded it i got a android phone process error every minute and couldnt even go thru the setup process. Is there something else other then the framework-res.apk that i need to transfer?

If he just copied on a random Framework app then he's asking for trouble, especi...Fixing perm might help but if the 2 CM roms were compiled at diff times then there could be changes that will not let the new res.apk function.
im thinking he just pushed the file and thts really no good but if he flashed it via a rom then he did something wrong
i copied this roms framework into cm6.0.0 rom, signed the rom then wiped my phone and flashed that rom. Maybe there built differently thats why i got that android.phone process force close.
im not sure my base is cm 6.0.0..... but ill make a flashable zip for you tht will have the framework if you want

im sorry i have to ask.. i have looked for a couple of hours now and cant find any solid info on installing miui..
im a veteran at flashing tw roms and themes.. but with the lack of knowledge on aosp im a little weary on going forward..
im unsure if any kernel comes with the miui rom.?. what cwm i need.?. or if i need to odin it.?. what modem will i need? .. do i need to start from stock eclair? do i need to reboot before flashing a kernel after flashing rom? do i need to reboot before flashing gapps? do i need gapps?
my head is spinning.. if someone would give me detailed direction i would do my best to compile it and help others.

well actually I just went from EF to CM7 that new guide seems simple enough though.

Then just flash Miui from CM7 or straight to Miui from EF but it sometimes gives you issues. My personal experience has been to flash Jt's CM7 then to Miui
*Edit* Also if you need any more help just PM me I have an hour to kill or so.

so im assuming that the rom comes with a kernel?
that it correct if it's EF it comes with imnuts pbj -50 kernel

had some trouble with some hash checks.. little behind
flashing new cwm then cm7 then miui... miui is all i need to flash? or do i have todo gapps

what color should the fixed recovery be? mine is still red.
sorry my bro from portland called. Red is fine you dont need gaps as you will be flashing it away anyways. if you're still having issues with hash checks download an earlier build of CM7 to install that first then Miui.
Edit Miui comes with Gapps, jt's CM7 doesn't but when you flash to Miui you will wipe gapps anyways is what I mean.
edit 2 Also depending on build you won't be able to 3 button to red cmw from boot so use terminal emulator or rom manager to reboot into recovery.

lmao the default Miui launcher has NO drawer but you can make folders and organize stuff if you want a drawer download my personal favorie launcher that I use Launcher Pro from the market
actually I use the plus version since I paid for it, well wourth it to support the dev.

edit Oh yeah check out the theme manager it's Miui biggest strength and all the stuff you can change in it

hey guys this is a cwm recovery flashable zip of my bootleg buildprop for the Photon
i have one version for blur based/stock roms and a version for cm7 please make sure and use the correct file cause the blur version on cm7 causes havoc. If on cm7 use the cm7 version if on stock based use blur version.
cm9, electrify, and miui not supported yet
has:
overmind's speedyv7
rocko's rom tweaks
balltounge's mashup
motcher's flow control changes
nok0763, Notorious544d for the raindrop fix and moonzbabysh for showing us the way
seanzscreams multitouch mod
zep's v6 and 3g
and several adjustments made by yours truly
instructions:
before going into recovery make sure wifi is turned off and you have either a fresh nandroid or have renamed your buildprop to buildprop.bak
reboot into recovery
wipe cache and dalvivk cache
flash bootleg zip
reboot phone
let phone boot completely then reboot phone
let it reboot and everything should be super slick
first boot should take a relatively long time, but the second boot should be roughly half the time you are used to seeing
enjoy and as always with anything make a back up
using a file explorer navigate to system and put it into rw rename your build prop to be buildprop.bak just in case things arent the way you like it so you can restore back quicker

Flashed with cm7.2 and wifi doesn't work anymore. Runs smooth though.

is it not working at all? or just doing the whole works then cuts off then works then disconnected then uncheck and it works the disconnects? thats not an issue with the prop but now if it killed wifi entirely thats another thing idk why would kill wifi .
the prop is based off blur maybe has something to do with it i have another one im going to release for cm7 users several lines need to be changed sorry you are having these issues only method to remove is to restore your backed up prop file or rename bootleg's prop to buildprop.bak and it should create a new one after you reboot. Or can extract the buildprop from the ROM you flashed and replace it to revert
about to go to sleep any more q's ill have to catch in the am
for now if on a non blur rom its not fully working ill have a cm7 version by monday of course can always make a backup of builprop and try for yourself gl

What rom are you using how did you install are you Photon or electrify to revert you can restore your backed up prop or can extract from the ROM you flashed and use it to replace the one it installed or can rename it to .bak and restart should create a new one once you reboot

what rom are you using plus I see your sig says electrify IDK the differences but I would think thats why. its made for Photon on a stock based rom. To revert extract build prop from ROM you flashed and replace it. Sorry didn't work for you. Will be trying to get this worked out/ up for cm7 & 9 miui and electrify since they are 2.3.5 will need an electrify buildprop though anyone willing to zip it and send to me

wont work on cm right now so far all that tried on cm has had issues as for the sd thing not sure what you mean if you referring to the cm9 fix then no it has no fixes for 9 the one I make for 9 ill try to incorporate what I can so it can be a one stop shop for what will work. for now if not on Photon blur based rom id stay away unless just wanting to test for yourself if thats the case make sure to back up your buildprop or have the ROM you are using zip handy to extract the prop from it really sorry guys that are having issues I'm going to edit the crap out op to make it more clear as to who this is working for after work

cm7, cm9, and miui not supported yet will be soon you can try it see if it will work but so far people reporting issues.... So unless on a blur based ROM on the Photon use knowing it might cause issues so make sure you can revert

I'm just a begginer in this and my english is not that good, so sorry if i dont make sense...
The issue is that im receiving all the sms in separte threads. I did this same thing with ICS and CM9 mms app and no single issue.
I replaced SecMms.apk and the SecExchange.apk cause i remember something similar back in the days with the official ICS for the SGS2 and aosp apps.
So the question is, what im doing wrong? What else i need in order to receive the messages in one single thread?

That is the problem..the AOSP MMS app when used in a stock ROM leads to unthreaded messages..you need to port the apk properly to be used in Stock ROMs..

Thats why im asking, to see if some one knows wich .apks are needed besides the ones that I already move to /system/app. In ICS I just move mms.apk from CM9 and no problems at all.
