[Q] Switching audio tracks in a video - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone,
Is there a way to switch between different audio tracks in a video in the SGS2video player? I have some movie files with several language tracks but it always plays the first audio in the list and I cant find a way to switch them
Thanks!

[Q] Song Info not displaying in Default Player

So I synced a bunch of songs with my SGS2 using iSyncr, and it seems that none of the m4a songs that I bought from the iTunes store show the song info correctly. Can the SGS2 not display song info on m4a songs? And is there any way to fix this?
Try this app: https://market.android.com/details?id=eu.gorgonloop.MediaFix&feature=search_result
Read about it in another thread and seemed to fix most of mine. I ended up converting all my m4a to mp3 over the weekend anyway, now they play properly over wifi on my TV.

Awesome, that worked BEAUTIFULLY, thanks SO MUCH!

videos?

ok folks, I'm still a big android noob, so forgive if this is not proper android terminology, but is there a way to install more codecs for the video player?
or do I just need a seperate video player app?
some vids are playing without sound (and actually won't play at all from the dlna app, but plays w/o sound from the gallery>dlna)
and another one plays, but "seek is not supported"

Built in codecs are limited by the Tegra2 (Specs: http://www.nvidia.com/object/tegra-2.html) However, you can install a different video player with software codecs that work pretty well with almost every format until you get to resolutions of around 720p, then you get skipping.
Download MoboPlayer. It'll automatically install the needed files for your phone. Real solid.

nice player, better than stock, but still some videos no video but audio, other ones no audio but video...
Check out rockplayer. There's a free version in the market
I have been using mxvideo player with arm7(something) codec. If u install mxvideo player and open it will auto detect the codec u need. Has been working very nice for me I also used QQplayer which was alright.
well, mobo player seems like the nicest interface, but rock player is the only one that consistently works
thanks for the recommendations guys

[Q] Audio support

Very interested in this phone for my next upgrade. However, using it as a music player will be important to me and most of my music is encoded in AAC format. The official Sony site doesn't list this as being supported by the Xperia S, whereas GSMArena claims that it is.
Does the Xperia S play AAC music files without a problem?
Even if it's not supported by the stock player, you can always use any ffmpeg powered one.

I thought as much - thanks for the confirmation. I'd still be curious to know if the stock player does it, though.
I have some AAC music in the m4a format in my phone and the stock music player is compatible with them. It plays and shows the tags/album art without problems.

Hello to everybody! I have an Xperia U and I try to reproduce podcast in m4a format with chapters ( Release yourself by roger sanchez) but all the app I've tried played only audio part, without chapters support.
Anyone can give me a suggestion?
thanks in advice

Deadbeef I think. Try the free version before buying.
Thank you I've just tried but it work only in audio reproduction
After so many apps finally I found one that reproduce mp4 with chapter: RockPlayer Lite.
The only disadvantage is that it cannot work in background!

Flac playback on SG3

Hello. My Samsung Galaxy S3 doesn't support playback of flac files. Is it normal? I tryed all audio players, that are available at the market.

Not normal. Stock player should play them back fine, all my music is FLAC and working perfectly.
I tried all players. Stock and 3rd party ones. Some just stop working others 'doesn't support this type of file'.
Guys, please try to playback these files on your phone. May be I just use wrong files.

H930DS reversing the Left/Right stereo channels when playing DSD audio files.

Is anyone else having this issue? The channels are switched only when playing back DSD files. Mp3, FLAC, MQA, etc all work as they should from the correct channel but i've tried 3 different DSD files and the sound comes through the wrong side of the headphones. There doesn't seem to be any setting for this in the phone. Any help much appreciated!

What player are you using? Can you try a different player?
This should show us if its the player or the phone that's doing it.
