How is Bionix NextGen compared to Bi Winning? Is it worth going back to 2.2?
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
bionix is a very stable rom and theme like trigger. bi winning is more of a stock vibrant look but fast very fast with bullet kernel.
Gonna head off to 2.3 Ginger bread roms they are now stable enough

To me Gingerbread is nothing major so I think Im sticking with Bionix til either Honeycomb or Ice Cream Sandwitch comes to the Samsung Vibrant, or I get a new phone.
then ull be getting a new phone before any of those upgrades happen. We'll be lucky when we get gingerbread.

What is the difference between bionix frost and bionic. And not just the whole 2.2 and 2.2.1 thing, but real differences. Thanks

Eh nothing you will really notice. Don't expect a feature filled update.
Sent from my SGH-T959V using Tapatalk
Bionix-V is the older more stable version and the Bionix Frost is the newer, in Beta testing development version.
Another difference is that Bionix-V is based on the software that Samsung put on the Vibrant, while Frost is based on the software that is on the new Samsung Galaxy S 4G. Since the base for Frost was originally made for a different phone, more effort is required to make it work on the Vibrant.

Not disagreeing persay but Frost is just as stable. Only issue I've had is a slight menu lag.

and "whats the difference"
I'm sorry but the only way for be to access xda is by the app ans the search function on the apologize is $hit. If it wasn't I wouldn't have posted 3/4 of what I have. But on last question, what's the difference between 2.2 and 2.2.1

I personally like Bionix V. Been using Team Whiskey roms for a while now and they have yet to disappoint. In the end, its just a matter of preference.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Bionix-V seems to have very few bugs. The bugs people are reporting, most users cannot duplicate their problems. Frost, well it still needs some tweaking before it's ready as a "daily driver" as stable/fast as Bionix 1.3
i've tried both. after enabling voodoo on the latest frost, i've noticed a considerable difference from the initial build. bionix is ULTRA stable. there is no doubt that it is the more stable of the two. however, IMHO i haven't noticed a huge difference between the speed or usability of either...if you would rather deal with less "potential" bugs, then i would suggest you go with Bionix V.
I just need a stable 2.2 ROM, preferably with a 1.4 GHz overclock.
Stable roms (that I've tried) - Bionix, Trigger, and Bi-Winning
Since you want to OC, you need a custom kernel (i think all those roms just come with Stock voodoo). Any OC that you will do will not create a stable environment for your Vibrant (everyones CPU is built differently so results will vary). Basically, OC and Stable do not go in the same sentence.

Bionix NextGen 1.3.2 with whatever overclock kernel is recommended.
Hands down.
I'm not currently using it for testing purposes (and because the theme sucks so hard, sorry TW, I love you but you gotta admit that ****'s ugly.)
Try SGS II clone V2. It's stable, and looks great. I'm running with an Overstock kernel.

I've found on my vibrant that a 1.4ghz overclock is too much.. 1.2 is stable though.
I'm using the trigger rom it runs great with of but you don't need to overclock to 1.4 to improve overall smoothness

Im running bionix next generation with bullet kernel and get a qs score of 2600 or better and is fast as hell and very stable! Been running it for about a week with no freezes or crashes battery life isn't all that great though only downfall. Lol

I havent used a FroYo ROM in quite sometime because i moved onto CM7 and now ICS, but i got my mom a Vibrant today and i was wondering what the most solid and fastest ROM is, I remember Bionix 1.3.1 was always great, but has anyone made a super killer FroYo ROM that you would suggest?
P.S. I am just looking for something that works with no kinks, GPS Working and good battery life.
Bionixxxx

Yep, I'd go with Bionix if you want a good, solid ROM with no kinks. I ran it for more than six months, and I loved it. Good GPS, great battery, just a solid ROM all around.
Link to thread here; http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=925548
I've run the gamut from 2.1-4.0 roms for our Vibrant, but Deranged 9 is my favorite. Great Battery life, working GPS, support for tons of themes once it hits final and as fast as CM7....

I have been running Toxic8 for the past six months. Very fast, smooth, best battery life I've had out of the 4-5 ROMS I have run. Lots of options and flexibility. Definitely worth looking at.

Seriously, I know its my rom, but its probably the most stable and up to date (last updated on Black Friday) froyo rom we have rolling around. I am running ICS currently, but I do still support ZD, in the rare occasion that support is needed. There are also vanilla froyo and gb themes available, with or without a multitude of lock screens thanks to contributions from the community.

he meant deprecated, not depreciated. meaning, it is old, out of use, and has been replaced (i.e. obsolete due to a newer, better version). i'm guessing 'deprecated' got autocorrected.

That's true. It's like asking which ice cream flavor is best. So try a few and see what floats your boat. But be careful though - if you start with ZenDroid you probably won't get around to flashing anything else.

I think Bionix is the most solid to date, but thats stating that we haven't perfected a 2.2.1 rom!!!
I am surprised no one has mentioned either Toxic8 or Deranged9. I have had nothing but solid, stable experiences on both if them. I feel that nearly all the Froyos are about as stable as they can get at this point.
ICS has taken over as the flavor most wanted, so not much on the future horizon for Froyo.
They all felt the same....just different features...
Hey everyone im trying to get my hands on all the roms for the vibrant but cant find the best ones i have ics but would really like the auxora rom and any other if u could help that would be cool thanks a head of time and pics would help
