My PC hung while I was restoring firmware from Nandroid backup. The delete process went fine but restore did not happen. Now the Streak is bricked (Dead). It won't boot, not recognised when connected to PC, no LEDs, no recovery, no fast boot.
The command which executed in Fastboot mode was :
ECHO.
:: Erase existing boot image
ECHO * Erasing existing boot image
IF EXIST boot.img (fastboot erase boot) else (
(ECHO Backup boot.img image not found in current directory. Bad idea to continue script. No erasing has taken place. ABORT!)
(GOTO :END)
)
ECHO.
:: Erase existing system, userdata, and cache images
ECHO * Erasing existing system, userdata, and cache images
IF EXIST system.img (fastboot erase system -w ) else (
(ECHO Backup system.img image not found in current directory. Bad idea to continue script. No erasing has taken place. ABORT!)
(GOTO :END)
The second part which had the command to flash the system and boot failed due to PC being hung and phone went to reboot but did not reboot since then.
Please let me know what are my options now? Are the files deletd are from the internal SD? I I change the SD card will it boot? Should I look for JTAG to resurrect?
Please... Please..help.
I bought it from US 5 months back now I am in India.. so...No Warranty...and no proper Dell Service Center.

I am ready to strip/dismantle it. So, If I remove the SD, will it switch On? Should I buy a new SD and Put it there or once it's ON I can put the same back and Factory Reset?
It only needs to be reformatted, there's a thread somewhere on how to restore it.

Thank you..Thanks a lot....Just to reconfirm, I should get the Inner SD out, Format it on a PC in FAT32 mode, Place it back and swith on the phone and it should work.
If I can switch it on, that should be enough, then I should be able to manage it from QDL TOOL. Currently I am not able to switch it on and thats a problem.
You have to reformat it in a very specific way, it's made up of multiple partitions i think

I have searched a lot but can't find a way to get the Internal SD formatted. Please help if you have a link or some guidance. It becomes more difficult if the Streak is not booting at all.

OK..so now I got my streak back after getting it repaired using RIFF-JTAG. It's at least getting powered on now but gets stuck at Dell Logo. It does not go to Recovery (Boot with Vol+ & Vol-) and does not go to Fastboot.
So I can not flash any firmware on it. So looks like I am back to square.
Any assistance please........
Look at my post on this thread, i had the exact problem and i solved it.

Thank You !!!!! Finaly it's fixed and it's booting up, going to Recovery, FastBoot all Normal.
On Recovery and FastBoot screen it shows a Red Line across the screen written "Default NV checked #3". Yet, the recovery and FastBoot is working fine.
Also the phone shows "No Sim Card" though there's one valid one inserted. I have done Factory Reset, restored my backup and Airplane Mode On/Off but didn't work.
These two may be related to JTAG done earlier. I will try to get to that person again to see if he can check on these. If you have any suggestions please let me know.

Thank you for your help. I have flashed Streakdroid 1.9.1 as well the Stock AT&T 2.2.2. Did not work. With Stock firmware it said Invalid SIM and with 1.9.1 it said No Sim Card.
This prompted me to think of another point. This is a AT&T locked phone unlocked using Unlock Code from AT&T. Again I think JTAG has got this locked somewhere but I am not getting the prompt to input the Unlock Code even with the stock ROM.
Is it possible to manually force somehow the system to prompt for the Unlock Code?
if you put in another sim bar at&t and states invalid sim should prompt for network unlock code again if not looks like baseband may have corrupted. could try qdl again as a last resort.?. otherwise could look for streak unlock costs approx $20/$30 and solved my unlock nightmare

2 days ago, my phone gave me like 8 force close in row, so i decided to pull out battery and reboot. Next time i rebooted it got to eternal loop. I wipe dalvik - reboot - nothing, wiped factory reset and got error while erasing things in SD (android secure, ext, etc) i tried to flash a rom and surprise! my phone got error with "Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p1" tried other SD including a new one, a just format card and nothing. Read in the internet that could be an issue that sd wasn't recognized and that could be fixed in fastboot. Entered fastboot and placed these lines
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot oem enableqxdm
But fastboot won't execute them, just gives me "..." after whatever line i write and i have to pull out battery enter again to try again.
I'm now down to discovering why doesn't fastboot isn't executing my commands, as for recovery, i'm unable to flash anything without my sd being recognized. I also thought of flashing stock rom through emergency mode, but don't know why i'm unable to get into that mode with the 2 button combo (Volume up + return) while connecting usb. The result is just getting into eternal loop on the android text logo
Any help that you could give me i would be really pleased,
thanks for your time and sorry for my spelling i'm not an english native speaker
Why dont search a litle bit

thx for the help i dont know how magicaly today after days of trying i could magically get into emergency mode on a friends computer, and managed to install 2.3 stock rom. The problem is now that i still can get sd cards to be recognized, but will keep searching for an answer. I'll have to enable fastboot on my device to try again the
fastboot oem enableqxdm 0
any clue on how to get fastboot with out flashing anything? (i'm unable cause sd is unaccesible from any place)
EDIT: Just realized that i wont be able to root with out sd, any workaround?
Hello,
a few weeks ago i flashed cwm and cyanogenmod 10.2 nightly to my L9. I wanted to use Link2SD to move some apps from internal memory, so i had to repartition the sd-card. Unfortunaly the phone would not let me remove the sd-card (seems like it is stuck because the eject-mechanism is not working). So i tried to repartition the memory with Aparted from within the phone and of course i accidentally removed the phones internal partition, instead of the sd-card partition. Now the phone won't respond to almost anything i have tried. That includes:
- turning the phone on
- booting to recovery
- s/w upgrade mode
With Lelus tool i am able to get a fastboot connection, it even looks like i am able to flash another recovery image (i have the omap drivers still installed from flashing the phone the first time). But in the end the phone itself does not respond to anything. When trying to install ics x and u boot with Lelus script it fails after complaining about a missing partition.
Do you know another way to restore internal partition(s)? Is there any hope to get the phone working again?
Thank you in advance

Thanks a lot! Looks like LG Support Tool recognizes my phone now (there is no visual feedback on the phone screen in S/W Upgrade right?) But when i start to use the tool to recover from a failed upgrade, it always skips around 20-25% progress. For a moment the phone is not shown in my windows device manager and after that, it is recognized as Ti Board - Omap44xx every few seconds and then lost again, like the driver is not properly installed (is that possible after being able to get to fastboot and S/W Upgrade mode?). Any idea?

The s/w mode from the unofficial fastboot is not going to work. I think you really messed up your phone doing that (aparted). You might be able to run a fastboot command to repartition it but I doubt it will work. Try this command select option 1 (just fastboot)
fastboot devices
fastboot oem format

At first time I was able to enter recovery, but then I wasnt. Flashmode and Fastboot arent working, device dont start. On my pc its named like an unknown device or somc, Does anyone can help?:crying:
Hi bro , did have solve your problem yet?? , I've got the same situation as you the same rm 3 if only I added another number , I think that block 3 has files for flashboot that is why it isn't working anymore , I tried with xperia companion but also asked about that flashboot
The only solution is to find a workaround on how to flash the firmware through fastboot , anyone has any idea??
partition 3 is s1sbl (related to bootloader), so you can't restore your device via flashtool, pc companion or emma. it's hard bricked, sorry
it can be recovered if you have any jtag box

which partition have you mistakenly delete? did fastboot still work for you? if so you can flash recovery and restore your OS and somehow you could fix flashmode with usb debugging on
but if you're unlucky like me with locking the bootloader mistakenly then
there's setool box and JTAG box but the question is which one is easier for restoring boot partitions
also I saw some way of restore partitions but that was with emmc replacement
hello all

after that the tablet will reboot and finish the installations and power off itself, power it on and wait for it, its will take long time for first boot so do not power it off.
Halo keyboard will not work until you do these steps By vimalbhimani on here

b) Click search button at contact
c) Input ####6020# code into search bar
d) a list of country codes will po up, browser the country code list, then chose country code US and click OK
e) Then device will reboot and update, you should be able to use halo Keyboard after that.
note: i have issue with TouchPl keep stopping, had to chose google instead of Lenovo to get it to work without error
if you want to update the system to latest version (7.0.1) you can just go to update and update it.
if you have something to add please do
Thank you all.
Here's an alternative method for those who don't trust flashing tools due to bad experiences and prefer flashing files manually via Fastboot (like me):
Follow steps 1. to 3. and 5. of the opening post.
Unzip the stock rom (archive) into your ADB/Fastboot folder.
Boot the tablet to the bootloader (c.f. step 6. of the opening post).
Use the following commands:
Code:
fastboot flash gpt gpt.bin
fastboot erase misc
fastboot erase persistent
fastboot erase frp
fastboot erase metadata
fastboot format config
fastboot format country
fastboot format cache
fastboot format data
fastboot format factory
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash config config.img
fastboot flash country country.img
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash bootloader bootloader
fastboot flash oemvars bootloader_policy-oemvars.txt
fastboot flashing lock
fastboot continue
Execute each of them with Enter and wait till a command got executed completely before you try to use the next one.
It might happen that you face an error while flashing that oemvars bootloader_policy-oemvars.txt. I couldn't find out why that happened and ignoring it seems to be harmless.
Follow steps a) to e) of the opening post.

So my Android YB1-X90F was locking up when trying to boot, just stuck showing the Lenovo logo. Thinking I'm clever I stubbled across the boot menu if you start the device with the Volume Up held. So I've got as far as installing all the drivers/Intel Phone tool/Android Suite etc. but I'm still stuck. The flash is locked. Is there another way to unlock this as I can't get into Android to allow the developer options as suggested in Step 2 of the opening post?

Here are the files needed in case other links void in the future: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1gD9FyA03GbLZ7ZcjkyMDlhVPs4_em2rY?usp=sharing
Edit: The Android N update bricks the device for some reason.

found myself in the same boat and eventually came across this:

hopefully it sticks around long enough for others to grab.
note that the steps are slightly different in that you have to manually select the .json in the extracted folder.

Hi everybody,
Sorry if my post already exists and if my english is bad but i really need help...
I tried to root my honor 7 so first i unlocked bootloader successfuly, i installed TWRP too and everything seemed work very good until last step where my phone didn't boot, i stayed stuck in boot logo... Then I done a factory reset with wipe cache, dalvik, data etc...
Now the only things i'm able to do are boot on recovery mode, eRecovery and on fastboot&rescue mode. I lost adb and fastboot and i'm not able to acess to the phone so i can't put a rom on the phone to install it...
If anyone could help me it would be very nice because I'm going crazy. Thank you !
My phone was up-to-date, i can't remember witch firmware i had but i think it was Android 6.0.1

If you have fastboot you can use Huawei update extractor to extract UPDATE.APP and flash boot.img and system.img directly to your device

how can u flash with fastboot while no connection to pc (as u said earlier)
if u did manage to connect to pc, please share how
thanks in advance
I'm not sure I understand the question but i'll try to explain.
I was not able to connect to PC apart with fastboot (reboot in fastboot mode and connect to PC). Once done, just open a terminal and type "fastboot flash boot <boot image file name>.img" then do the same with IMG (as said in this page .
Hope it will help you !

Read this carefully, this will restore youre phone:
1*.)No matter what youve done with this phone it will be cleanly installed like its fresh new, cause i had couple of problems and this method worked
1.)Download the latest b396 firmware
2.)format youre SD card with basic settings via Windows ( if you have a usb stick to connect youre SD card to computer like i do, if you cant connect youre SD card to computer, use another smartphone and format youre SD card with basic settings)- simply talking just format youre SD card
3.)create --->>>dload<<<--- folder like i wrote down without the --->>><<<--- stuff on youre SD card
4.)paste the update.app file to the dload folder
5.)insert youre SD card to phone
6.)this is the moment of truth hold down volume + & - key and power key all in once until the emui logo appears WARNING: remove all keys after logo appearing WARNING: if the logo doesnt appear even after 30sec. keep still holding until the logo appears
***If you get somekind of error i can help, if it worked youre a lucky guy
