it's simple.. you have to found game which you want - game must supporst hvga (320x480) resolution.. and then put files on sd + install apk, most games are on 3+1pda.ru

i have some question. how if i want to play games that higher than my resolution?? for example, my phone was xperia x8 and i want to play eternal legacy. and now, is there posible to edit an apk and change resolution so it can run on my device??
actually i want to make rock band playble in my x8 since i notice rock band game screen are too large for my device. i really want rock band so bad

Just download other files to get the suitable resolution. Recently I downloaded Asphalt5 and Gangster Miami Vice with a higher resolution and I was not able 2 use all of the buttons in the top lol

I had the wrong resolution problem also. I don't know if this will solve it for you, but this did the trick for me. In the "how to install" file, it said that you have to put the folder "dungeon Hunter" on your card in a folder named gameloft. That's when it showed in wrong resolution for me. Instead, put the "Dungeon Hunter folder in gameloft/games folder. Then it worked fine for me.
dungeon hunter work on O1! all the another games don't work!!! but there's a folder called "res" in every game of gameloft. In folder res there's a file called main.xml can you see and modify this file?
Question for those who have Dungeon Hunter working: how the heck do you use the main map? I can't select anything but Thamos (and then it's accidentally somehow).
EDIT: Figured it out. Bloody thing is offset. If anyone else is having this trouble, you want to tap about 1 inch up and right from the actual location on the map.

I don't know if it's even possible to fix resolutions.
I've tried couple of HD games on my O1, they worked.. but they were either really laggy, buggy or touch controls were misplaced.
These games are designed for better phones, gotta accept that?

i have done creating the folders but it is still too big for my phone screen? any other solution?
we have to wait for modded version or simply give up on playing hd games

HTC HD2 modified with android. far too small on my screen.
480x800 is the screen and its set too 320x480 . trying to play settlers. i found and modified gamesettings.cfg but doesnt do anything.

Did you try 240x320 resolution games? Did it work?
Russians have managed to do it , works pretty good , sharing of warez is illegal , so yeah , use Google search
I saw this Video on youtube, and I couldn't believe. It shows Dungeon Hunter on I5800. So now to my Question: How did he make them run? Please help me.

I don't think its a fake, because on other videos you can see the galaxy 3 running raging thunder 2 and such games. I can't even play raging thunder 2 XD also not with version 1.0.9 ^^
It is possible, but you need to download by PC the SD Data for that game.
Pls tell me how to do that^^

At first you have to download the game, I don't no if I'm allowed to post links here or not. I have downloaded it from pandaapps. Simple type it into google^^.
1. Download the .apk and the SD files of the game.
2. extract the SD files
3. Make a file folder calles: gameloft on the root of your sdcard. In the gameloft folder make a new folder called: games (gameloft and games have to be written small)
4. Extract the SD files to /sdcard/gameloft/games
5. Now install the .apk and play^^

OK Guys I have done it with the HD version 3.1.1^^ from pandaapp. And Rekooo I don't know how old you are, but I'm 16, and my parents had installed such a programm on my pc, that closes such sites^^
Yes, and the only two games I could made run till now are Dungeon Hunter and GT Motor academy^^.
And for those who think the hardware is crap^^ I have compared galaxy 3 with IPhone 3gs ^^ and our processor is nearly 70MHz stronger^^ and the ram is exactly the same. Our phone is no crap, the only problem is, that there are no 3d drivers for our device yet. Hope a dev could make one, or some people write to samsung^^
Edit: it's not the hd version But who cares?
Well, I think without a dedicated GPU or 3D Drivers we can wait a long time until all those high-end games run normally on the G3.
I've tried Dungeon Hunter and GT Racing myself. Dungeon Hunter wouldn't let me get into the 1st city, no idea why. GT Racing's framerate was just to sloppy though.. :/
I know in games wiyh other racers it lags. But dungeon hunter works very good on my device.
A race game that i would recommend is raging thunder^^ works without lags^^

i had installed a modern warfare(i forgot that the game was a snapdragon version or not)but it shown a black screen

I think because the GT540 screen resolution is low, we can't play HD games. I got a couple HD games to load, but they extend past the edges of the screen so I can't play them.

yeah, i agree, so it's difficult to find the games that suitable for our optimus
but there are some hd games with cache on gt540 optimus general
i tried some, n it fit the screen
there are some newest titles designed for newer ARMv7 CPU (Snapdragon, Cortex?) and they will not run on any ARMv6 device (like GT540) and some are just designed for higher res screens, but most of such titles have been rescaled by our russian friends from 4pda and can be well played on LG (NFS Shift is one of these afaik)

Just wanted to know if there's a way to play HD games which on mini .
i mean many games are incompatible with mini because of resolution and for a change a phone with this resolution with mini's specs its more than capable of playing any game out there right now in the market .
So i just want to know , if ther's way to port these games to run on lower resolution ? if there is a way already please point me the right direction if there a way already .
Want to try the mini beast out on some good games!

I have tried ALL HD games on my mini and it works well. Who says it is incompatible? It just need to be modified.
I have tried all Gameloft games such as nova, modern combat, dungeon hunter, asphalt, avatar, FIFA, pes, gangstar, eternal legacy and bla bla bla I mean literally all HD games is working on my xperia mini pro sk17i.

Good to know the phone specs can handle such, but why punish yourself playing on a small screen.
Hello all .. i know that maybe somebody would have experienced that already but cant seem to find anything right on to help me.
I have issues with Gameloft games when trying to play them on my note, i installed chainfire3d and when i try to play some of them game here is what happen as examples.
Dungeon hunter 2 = it seems to all go as it should, but then the loading screen is too small (resolution) and then it closed and it goes back to my phone ...
Assassin's creed = everything goes good but then the game appears being too small in resolution, the graphic all crap and the controls are warped (need to touch higher in the screen to control)
Is it because the versions i got are not for our note i717 (i717M in my case) and they dont adapt to that resolution ? and if it is the case is there not a way to play with resolution to make certain app or game be in a different resolution ?
Other game i have problem with as well = Super Mario bros, backstab hd ...
The ones that seems to go good for now = eternal legacy (excellent btw eventhough the game is smaller than the screen i have), dungeon hunter 1 is all good too.
Anybody has an idea to solve my problem and have these excellent games working on our notes ?

Thanks for the info, i did check and have problems with some of them even if HD
Examples : Spiderman HD has graphic distortion when on the first page of the game (maybe my files ?)
Backstab HD just close by itself
Nova 2 HD same thing .. close by itself
Avatar HD has the left side (with the virtual stick) working and image ok but the right side vitual buttons are not at the same place as shown so you have to guess where to press (again seems a resolution issue)
Is there parameter in my note that i can set for auto adjust to resolution or something or is it Chainfire3d ? or something else ?
Anybody got any more ideas? Would it be that I have to get the hd version for the galaxy note specifically?
Another example is the hd game the settlers hd that gives all white instead of proper graphic even if I've tried different combinations with chain fire 3d
