[Q] Comm Rom 1.2, want SMS icon count - Fascinate Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I just updated from stock froyo to Community Rom 1.2. With stock the SMS app icon had a count of unread messages (on app icon, not notification bar). With 1.2 this is gone. Is there an app or something so I can get this feature back? I liked it.

any ideas?

Missing SMS Counter on Home Screen Icon

Need help pls.
Running BAMF 3.0 RC4.9 MR2 Dark Horse Theme ADW Launcher EX
My home screen SMS icon no longer displays the unread sms count. It shows on the Dark Horse theme lock screen SMS icon. I've search ADW for a setting to enable/disable the count but haven't found anything. The count doesn't show on the stock SMS icon or my custom one.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Launcher Pro Gmail dock notification broken with Alien #4

I was using Launcher Pro before updating to KP's Alien #4 and all of the dock count notifications we working properly (i.e. GMail unread count, SMS, missed calls). I saw that Alien uses the 2.3.5 google apps framework and that apparently the api was changed in gmail, so the launcher pro count no longer works.
Has anybody found a workaround for this?
The newest gmail (2.3.5) doesn't support the notification thing for any app that uses it (LP, GoLauncher, ADW notification, etc.)
Google needs to allow this again themselves before we can get it working.
That is what I was afraid of...
Try Gmail Unread Count 2.0 in the Market... works with new gmail, and let's you choose a custom icon for the widget.

[Q] What's the best sms popup app to use?

I like SE`s stock sms app but I hate opening the whole app for a quick reply....I ve used sms popup from the market but I m not really satisfied......
you can test go launcher's sms popup. It is themeable and you got your sms directly on the desktop screen, where you also have the possibility to directly answer. In Stock you just can pull down the status bar to read your sms, if one arriced. That's quite handy I think.

[Q] SC3 milestone 2 and SMS appearance and notification icon

Phone is samsung fascinate (SCH-I500), eh03
Recently installed SC3 milestone 2 and my sms notification icon has changed to a grey envelope (same as email) and not the green smiley face. Also, when looking at my messages, the color of sent/received are now a washed out blue/yellow color...
I use golauncher and the default sms app. could never really get used to gosms or handcent.
Is there anyway to get the appearance of the sms and the notification back to the default?

I use SC3 M2 too, but i rarely use my fasci to call/sms, so i don't really understand about your problem...
my suggestion is you install gosms and change the notification that you want, while to texting you can use default sms app...
I hope my suggestion can help you a little
I actually installed handcent and have been using that, like it quite a bit so it solves my problem. I might try GoSMS if I have any problems with handcent, read about some MMS not going through, but as of right now I'm set.
