I had installed the newest german MiRom 6 with HTC-Sense. Everything was working smooth and very nice. Then I installed the attached cabs and i restarted my phone. Since then nothing is working. You see the Toshiba Screen and than it get's black. When I connect it to the PC the connection sound is played but nothing get's regocnized.
So what can i do? Oh dear.. I hope I havent messed anything up..

Okay I saved via Masterclean. Still I want to know what might have happened. It must have been one of Miro's cabs. But which one? At least its no longer bricked.

sorry for that. good to see your device realive. Maybe causes from a keyboard cab.
Wich cab´s (keyboard) you have installed? a great problem is if you install htc keyboard 1.5 and htc keyboard 2.1- then you have a coflict with registerd cslid= device not boot
yes that was my problem i used now the autocab installation just to be safe and now everything rocks. its really great work. Only sometime you see the old Windows Mobile behind HTC Sense and know that you use that.
When I think about the really bad 6.1 the TG01 came with. That really is some sweet improvement.

Hi all.
Well, I made the jump from the Hermes to the Athena.....and it is a great device. One thing that I miss was the assortment of comm manager configurations that were available for the Hermes.
My question is does anyone know of a 9 or 10 button comm manager that will work on the Athena? I would like to have the voip button to try to make all of it work with this unit also.
If not, I could even deal with the current one if it wasn't GREEN !! Any help is appreciated.......Later

Actually,I was looking for one of the comm managers like the ones that we get with the phones. Even another carriers version would work....at least it would not be green....LOL. I tried a couple of the ones for my old Hermes without much success. I do not believe that it is formatted properly for the Athena. All of the buttons were distorted and nearly unreadable.

me to. i love athena. this is my 2nd one. i have x7500 with broken screen that i took apart to play with and i use it to charge battery and i bought another athena but x7501 being in us i cant use the video call anyways so no p. i love this device and i am gonna get the x7510 when it comes out. i bought the shift but i want the voice compatibility but no go. with your power i might be able to do this one day.... but i had almost all the pda phones that has been out in pas couple years ( uni - blue angel - xda atom - wizard - iphone - nokia e90- imate ultimate 8502 - nokia n95 8gb - hermes - tytn ii - shift - athena - apache - mogul - touch - tre0 650 - treo 700p - and 750 i cant remember the other ones ) and i can tell you athena is the best pda phone ever. except one that i like but doesnt work anywhere except japan.

i bought a new MDA Touch plus. was working great but was missing the TouchFlo Cube in it.. tried installing the cab which was available here but it gives a permission error when installing (at around 80% completed) to be precise it says something like "this doesnt have permision to install this program"... like...so i thought it is something wrong with the Rom and i flashed with Mary 0.3.
hmm sad to say i'm not quite happy comparing to the T-mobile rom. PLUS still i cannot install touchflo cube, it gives the same error message.
now i've lost my t-mobile rom plus touchflo cube. can anybody suggest me a good rom which will support touchflo?
or i dont even mind getting back to old t-mobile rom.
my Wife has the same modal but still with the t-mobile rom. any possibility i can copy that ROM??

I would like to add that it's really a "beta" and shouldn't be used as your "main" OS; as it's nowhere close to 'ready' (at least in my opinion) for this device.
I mean; go ahead and check it out, but don't expect it to be your phone's primary OS.
It was way cool to check it out and play with it but still very unstable but its getting there.

Well I downloaded the files to boot it and i click on the harot boot exe hit run and then it hangs. Where are the actual directions on how to run it? Is there any?

You might want to put the files on a different SD card as I think it needs to be on a Fat32 partition.
It is a 512mb formatted to fat32 and it still doesnt work. I downloaded the android zip and not the sdk though if that might be the problem.
I actually figured out my problem. i kept all of the files in the folder and didnt extract to the root. my fault.
Do I have to install that heret bootloader first or should the olipro one I have work?

No olipro is not even part of this. All you have to do is put all of the files in the root of your SD card and run it like an app and linux will boot. Keep in mind that there are so many bugs in it that you will never want it as ur primary os

Is anyone currently working on / developing a workable Android OS that we can flash, as opposed to using the Haret.exe file to essentially shell over Windows Mobile?
I installed this in the last couple of days, and have been able to make calls, access Google Maps, the browser, etc....but have no access to the keyboard, an on screen keyboard, etc.
I'd be willing to help test out anyones work if so. Thanks!
none of the buttons on the mogul works. a few of the keys work on the keyboard.

Join the HTC-linux chat channel.... If you want to help out. So far not many people on there own a Titan, so i've been trying to do my best to help out... The guys on there are extremely helpful... They will walk you through everything, and if you give them the information that they need, they will be able to develop more things for our titan... We are working on getting the keyboard working as of right now.... if you go in there... talk to dcordes, ginge, or ali1234... they will help you out... Like i said if we get more people in there we will be able to use Android to it's full capabilities... DZO has it working almost perfect on the Vogue.... The touch screen is still kinda wild in my opinion.... So we need to find a way to improve that as well...

When I get done with this Hurricane B.S. here in Texas i'll get with this guy and see if I can port any of it over.
Also something I'm interested in. Windows Mobile is tiring me, and I honestly would feel more comfortable running my phone on a *nix. Plus, it seems like Android is gaining momentum where WM seems to be losing it.

We just need ppl to get the keyboard and buttons on the Titan to work on Android. It will be done in good time, it's just there's no timeframe.
I've noticed that the touchscreen is quite flaky, too. Frankly, I think that's higher-priority than some of the hardware buttons.

WM device sales have not decreased... Revice your statements and be honest. Android is immature. Particularly in that it lacks choices in software and suffe from odd OPEN development hesistency from Google. Android is a nice toy but it is not yet ready for widespread adoption. So, again, let's be honest and drop the rah-rah Android versus WM hyperbole.
It will great to have another OS to run on our HTC phones -- particularly the Titan -- but Android is unlikely to be on par to what WM provides within the useful lifespan of our current devices. As such, Android on the Titan is a great developmental toy.

Hey !! i have run the haret.exe on my mogul but i have some problems, one of them is the calibration, it looks like the calibration of the screen is not the correct but anyways, that is not the main problem, the main problem is that i dont know how to close and application , i have tried with all the buttons and the application doesnt close, so i have to reset the mogul to start again.
The version on this link http://it029000.massey.ac.nz/vogue/ is the correct one to the PPC6800?? or what is the correct version for the mogul??

The buttons are complicated...to tell you the truth i hold down a bunch of random buttons on the keyboard...hahaha... but hold on... i'll try to map them right now...
Q = unlock
Q = menu (WHILE INSIDE PROGRAMS)
Shift = QUIT
Windows button = QUIT (one might be minimize, idk for sure)

Today i bought the HTC Touch Pro, i updated the rom to a newer version but when is start up the phone the screen is freezing while the openings-screen appears (where you see your ROM-version in red letters). I already did a hard-reset, but it didn't help. What can i do now?
well, hopefully you didnt update the phone to the wrong type of ROM(CDMA vs GSM). Who is your carrier? and what rom did you try and flash?
Did you use Hard SPL first before flashing??

I used Hard SPL first it's a CDMA i think i used the one for GSM is there a way i can still fix my phone now???

Honestly if the phone is only a day old from a store I would exchange it and be more careful flashing. If this is not an option, you will have a difficult road a head of you. Try searching around. If I wasnt at work I would search for some threads for you. There are a LOT of people here who can help.

I think i'll wait for the official release of Windows Mobile 6.5 on the HTC Website...
The only problem now is that the Touchflo 3D theme dissapeared from the phone...
