My brother bought a new Dell Streak few days back. He updated the firmware to Android 2.2.2
But it's a bit laggy...
The Stage Launcher force-closes every now and then...
Well i don't belong to this forum so i don't know much about it...
But can anyone please upload the StageLauncher.apk because he messed up with the launcher...
Also he don't want root the device..
I will be thankful..
do a factory reset...should fix FC error.good luck!
Had the same issue. Just go to xda wiki for dell streak and download the firmware again it will replace all missing files and reinstall the new update

i too had the same problem !!!
so i update my rom form 347 to 351 and now the phone is awesome !!!!
the new dell stage widget is superb !!!
no lagging newhere
try and do it !!
My Dell Stage is laggy to, but I think that's how it is.

if i were you or your brother id just keep the stage launcher off my phone completely. theres only so much you can do with this launcher. why not try adw or launcher pro...both MUCH better launchers. they both also have paid or free versions

The Launcher must be the same as on Stock Rom .351
I know that the native launcher is the slowest so it s top, use ADW laucher
I've been using Holo Launcher and love it. I run it over the stock ICS. Worth looking into.
Agree with everyone else though, stock launcher is very laggy to begin with

ADW EX Launcher seems got many themes... and it is quite convenient...
However, i think it is quite laggy.

I will stay with the Stage from Dell, other Launcher will consume too many ram and once it drop below 60 Mb the phone will have problems......so have to stay with Stage.
BTW anyway can remove stage?

it is possible to take it out if you have root but you would advise against it if you do not know what you are doing
also if you do make sure you have another launcher installed first
May someone upload the stage apk?

I have uploaded the Dell Venue stage apk here @ multiupload.com. In your browser go to multiupload.com/(below suffix goes here) to get the file:
CL42537L5M
One thing to note is: It looks like all the independent stage widgets are their own individual apk's. Hope this helps enjoy.
Stage UI update
I have Stage Ui 1.6 any 1 know how to install it.... I was not able to find it... can u link me please..... The file is in .zip format...
I just got rid of all the bloatware last night, I am using ADW launcher, and my venue has never been so fast, even with live wallpaper running. I was not very happy with the venue up until this point. Now just need custom roms......
In order to develop custom roms there must be at least one source... I am sure that we will get custom roms after an update from Dell...

I get great lag when i use it

i've found that not all apps are listed in launcher after reboot or power on, especially apps from sd not visible until i unmount and remount the card. (using mur4ik's swiftdroid v2.0M5)
i have made some screenshots (i don't know if these is the right version .... but)

Thats not the correct Launcher. The one in the start post has a dock at the bottom where the app launcher is.

Hello, I installed your Arc Launcher on my Xperia X8 and I loved it!
I just want ask you something. I am a clean stuff lover, and now that I have Arc Launcher running wounderfully on my phone, I want to get rid of Stock Launcher (I want to have only one installed, as I said, I am clean lover and I don't want to have software that I do not use).
Can you tell me if there is any threat to my phone uninstalling stock launcher and if there is none, which is the best way to do it?

And it is recomended? I mean, I have Arc Launcher as App at the moment and I do want have it not as application but as system launcher. Any ideia?
I do not know if it is recommended
But at worst moves it into system app with titanium backup

Battery drain
Good, and what about battery drain? I installed it yesterday, and I've got 17% in 18 hours with no use at all. Now I don't know that it is because of launcher or because of a Minimalistic Text widget I putted.
Any ideas?

Nop, I am running 2.1 Stock Launcher with wifi desabled, 2G and I am hell not overclocked. I'am against overclocks, only temporary and when really needed.

I greatly appreciate it .. i always wanted to try miui look on my sgs (and defy). The problem is that I still see chinese characters in the weather widget (default one) and 2 folders/applications on the left screen (first screen on the left from the main one).
Great work anyway ....
And, please , upload the apk also here on XDA, it is much easier for the guys (like me) who are using xda application to read the forum.

Looks nice, but unfortunately I can't get myself to use anything other than Launcher Pro, lol
QQLauncher is the perfect alternate of MIUI launcher .... Its awesme Just give it a try
I didn't like the MIUI launcher because it didn't had a menu but the icons for the apps are really great...
Still the go launcher ex is the best.

Decided to try it out on my XT and I must say, after using Go Launcher forever, I love the look! If you want to get the full Sense look just add Beautiful Widgets or something of the like, and BAM! You're on! LOL

No, You can't, cause it's not for CM7.

Just download --> Install the apk --> Apply true CM theme manager and reboot.

Hey buddy,
No definitely not, i'm just a little busy with work and can't keep flashing roms at the moment, am still on HM xda special with MIUI theme at the moment, (had to flash back my backup when i flashed bravo last week, had issues).
Anyway, i've been following every thread ever since and am planning to flash CM6 some time this week, as i can't wait to try your themes man! Specially the black one, seems promising!
Once i'm done with stuff at work i'll be able to flash anytime and will definitely be the first to test themes for ya like before.

Can't get the sony Ericsson home launcher to work on miui build number : 1.9.16 i can install it and add my apps but right when i add widget or change the sorting order in the app drawer force closes !!

For some Odd reasons, the New SE launchers doesn't works with the MIUI. I have tested several, and almost every one crashes (If anybody have a new working one, please let me know! )

Bah got the older version aswell thanks for the offer but i really want the new version because it is more smoother i can't leave miui because its very customisable but on the other hand i love that launcher :/
