I know, right? Well, I've been an iPhone users for 4 years, so I know well how they think. Will keep replying for the lulz - it's not really hard to counter the arguments either. I've been using them for years!

I don't defend. Just got sgs2 today and gave I4 to lil cousin.

Lol that was defiantly worth a read. Compare any Apple product with a superior competitors product and you will NEVER get a Apple fanboy to admit its better. Ever.

I've never had an iPhone (because I hate apple, iTunes, and their closed ecosystem), but from what I can see the iPhone 4 is still a great phone, and has a few advantages over the SGS2 :
-It looks better IMO (maybe that's just me but I think MOST phones look better than SGS2, I ordered a Zenus Carbon case hoping it will hide some of the ugliness while protecting it lol)
-It has better games
-It has a few apps that android is lacking, or apps that are better on iOS
-I think the battery lasts longer and the screen has better outdoor legibility, but I did not test that personally so it might be distorted ^^
Anyway, I don't think there's really an argument here : Both phones are very good and very expensive, the SGS2 is probably the best android phone available and the iPhone 4 is the best iOS phone available. So people who want iOS should get the iPhone 4 and those who want Android should get the SGS2, simple as that

Without wanting to start a flame war (especially as in this case, I do prefer the SGS II), surely people blindly defending Android is just as bad as those people blindly defending iOS?
People have their reasons...if you think people can have hundreds of apps which they have paid for, it can make switching platform a costly decision regardless of all the other +'s and -'s.

i swear it`s like 90% of iphone users are mindless zombies

I get that, there is making an objective choice for whatever reason and then there is rabid fanboyism on all platform. I've always been a bit nomadic when it comes to technology, especially since I work in IT I need to know stuff about all things IT and deal with technology from all over, but I can proudly say that I've never owned anything sold by apple and that's just because I can't stand the fake image of class, pseudo-intellectual facade and bloody ignorance displayed by the morons who fall for the marketing campaigns apple employs.

Oh yeah, I particularly like the one where someone I know got an iPhone 4 when they were released and started to brag about the free iCondom they got to "fix" the reception issue. That made me lolz.

I always like the "Yeah its more powerful but I don't need power so why would I buy it" argument. I dont need a Ferrari F430 Scuderia, but I damn well want one. The only reason I would buy a Honda Accord or something like that is because the Ferrari is a lot more expensive. Here we have 2 phones, that cost relativly the same. So if you could have a Ferrari or a Prius with each of them almost the same price, you would take the Prius because you dont "need" a Ferrari? Fool proof argument there...

Oh yes, absolutely. I've been defending iOS for years, and I only started defending Android last night.
I don't think I've ever been 'blind' in my defense though. The iPhone 4 is honestly a very good handset for its time, and a lot of hate it got were unwarranted.
It's always fun to see people blindly defending for anything, like this case here. There are a few intelligent people in that thread though, so it won't be pure lulz. But there are sure a lot of 'mindless zombies'.

Im a apple fan, had all there models and must say iphone 4 is a nice phone. I sold mine to get iphone 5 recently but cus they delayed i got sgs 2, i like both devices and will still buy iphone 5 when its out, only cons for apple is less customization and horrid itunes. And for me with android its just the apps are not as good in my opinion. So im half and half really i like both, carnt stand windows7 phone !!

Nice... I think you summarised it well.. there is no point in comparing apples with oranges

iphone 4 is garbage....I bought it the wife....all I hear from her is complaints.
It drops calls...it doesnt load all webpages (flash)...the main home button doesnt work sometimes...blah blah blah.
I spend a fortune getting the "bigger GBeeez" (32gb) one for her. Once the SGS2 comes to NA, I will give her my SGS1 and sell the icrap4.
The only things I like about the iphone4 is the screen and the camera quality. I even jailbroke it for her and loaded a bunch of apps...still crap!
All apple fools are idiots....I have soo many friends that only buy apple products...I dont understand why!

Slate Joins the Troll Parade...

Seriously, what's with these "reporters" trashing devices they've never used?
http://www.slate.com/articles/techn...g_new_trend_toward_enormous_smartphones_.html
All that negative talk about the note while admitting:
"The Note hasn’t been released yet, and I haven’t tried it out"
He gives himself away in the last portion of his biased rant:
But I will point out that the iPhone remains, by far, the best-selling smartphone in the world, and it has never deviated from its original dimensions. It’s time for Apple’s competitors to take a lesson from this success and realize that bigger isn’t necessarily better and that a phone’s utility decreases as its screen inflates.

Right, and when the iPhone finally gets a screen size upgrade all these trolls will talk about how great the new size is, how it doesn't feel bulking with little baby hands, how it's not at all awkward to hold up against your head. Christ, they probably shoot a premature load when they find out their new 8" tablet makes phone calls.
I'm currently an iPhone user. Have been since the day they came out, but that will be changing once FedEx knocks on my door on Friday (tomorrow would be even better). I have always loved my iPhone. It has been nearly perfect for what I've needed it to do except in one specific area: Screen size. Sure, I could have made the jump to a 4.x" Android phone but there weren't any phones of that size that I was interested in, and with the push to 4G/LTE there were even less Android devices I was personally felt were captivating to me. What really pushed my decision to leave the iPhone was the release (or the announcement I should say) of the iPhone 4s. Wow! What a disappointment. I didn't find the move from the 3g to the 3gs to be all that spectacular and I certainly wasn't overly awestruck by Siri. Sure, there was some increase in performance but there were no improvements in the area where I wanted it, the screen size. 5.3' is big. There is no doubt about that, but I have big hands, and as much as I've enjoyed each and every iPhone I've ever owned I have always had a problem fumbling around with the virtual keyboard, even when in landscape. My kids on the other hand, they love their iPhones. They use the crap out of them for what they do, and they love Siri. And you know what, that's fine too...
I can't stand how 99% of the reviews for other phone find need to even mention the iPhone. Review the phone your reviewing and stop swinging from apple's nut sack like Tarzan its pathetic to say the least...

This and BGR's "review" were disappointing. All I got out of them was: "My hands aren't manly enough, give me a phone that won't mess with my manicure"
I'm so frakin sick of apple. I hate the way they do business I hate the way they make phones. And yes I have owned plenty of Apple products. Apple treats the world like poo by trying to hold every patent available and trying to sue and banish anyone that even tries to do something with mobile phones. Frak u apple. Just Frak u. Bow Down in the presence of one of the greatest advancements in the mobile world apple lovers the Galaxy Note!

It's funny how in this piece Farjad writes that "When you go back to a normal phone after using something so large, you wonder what on earth you were thinking." While Engadget says "After a few hours with the Note you'll very quickly become accustomed to the size, and once you have you won't want to go back."
I don't see how he can justify that the utility of a phone diminishes as it's screen size increases. So long as it is pocketable, and increase in screen size will always increase utility. More screen real estate means more room for your fingers, more room for enjoying media, less zooming, and much less eye strain. I absolutely despise anybody that brags about the fackin 'retina display'. At 3.5", holding the phone a foot away or more makes small text unreadable anyways. Yes, our ppi is slightly lower at 285 I believe, but hell, you can at least read text from a foot away. Also, if you move an iphone close enoygh to make the screen appear the same size as the note, or the note far enough away to seem the same size as the iphone, guess what? The note has higher resolution. Bam. Some people are just too stupid and ignorant to accept the fact that the note destroys the need to carry a phone and a tablet. Yes, readability on an iPad is probably easier with the large display, but it's still an extra device that you have to carry, and it really cannot be held comfortably for extended periods of time anyways due to its weight to size ratio. The note will have a great weight to size ratio, making enjoying media for extended periods of time rival that of the lightweight kindles and nooks. Plus it makes calls. It's sad when people are so loyal to a brand that they fail to realize that other brands make superior products. I would take my current infuse or my old cappy over an iPhone any day of the week. And my old cappy is two years old.
The other thing that apple lovers fail to realize is that fragmentation isn't a completely bad thing. It gives you options. You have phones from the size of the HTC aria or xperia mini all the way up to the infuse, galaxy nexus and note, and everywhere in between. You can choose the device that suits your needs best, and aren't locked to a single size, incrementally update phone.
Also, I hate when apple fans bash the rate that new android phones are released. That hate is fackin stupid. It allows you to get the latest and greatest smartphone whenever you are available to upgrade, not just once a year. It also promotes competition that has driven the quality and technology of android devices at an unbelievable pace. Yes, your phone will not be the latest and greatest shortly after you purchase it, but you still have a top of the line phone that is every bit as good, if not better in my opinion, than an iPhone. Fragmentation pushes manufacturers to try new things that will bring great phones to the market much faster than one phone per year. I guarantee that if apple made multiple versions and screen sizes of the iPhone that their market share would not increase. Instead, they would have fewer people per each device, with roughly the same number of people.
People like having choices, and until apple realizes that, iOS will forever be behind android.

Love this comment. Completely agree. It seems nearly impossible yo read a phone review without mention of an iPhone. And why?!!
Constant mention of it is probably the only thing that keeps the iPhone relevant (in any way that it is). Is apple paying all these people!? Jeebus! iPhone is crap compared to even my 2yr old Evo 4g. And I've got ICS on my Evo lol. Would apple ever ALLOW THAT? Hell NO.
Hey, "reviewers", listen carefully,...there is no need to mention iPhone unless you are REVIEWING an iPhone (once a year). Try that, and see what happens to apples market share. I guarantee it would stagnate. You currently are just providing free, unwarranted, press for apple. And looking a fool

While I agree that it is stupid for so many reviewers to talk about the iPhone, that is not "the only thing that keeps the iPhone relevant." Millions of people have and will continue to buy iPhones even if new Android phones are not compared to the iPhone in reviews. The reasons the iPhone is popular are legion, from people who are clueless, to Apple cultists, to people who legitimately prefer the feel of iOS to other mobile options. The clueless people are the only people who might be influenced by lack of iPhone mention in reviews, but I sincerely doubt that many of them have ever read a review of Android device online.

No kidding.
I have had a 64 gig 3G ipad2 for months, but I stopped posting any criticism of it at all on an apple forum because they basically think it can do no wrong. It irritates the hell out of me that it doesn't play flash without a bunch of annoying workarounds but their answer was "nobody needs flash anymore"
At one point, by far the longest thread was "what color iPad are you going to buy"
Typical Apple fanboy-ism.
"Best products ever because we pay a lot for it"
Everyone thinks apple is the best because it costs the most. Price means nothing, in this case all it means is you are overpaying for something boring. You cant do half the things with apple that you can android. I have never been a fan of anything apple. Its just a fad and people think they are cool to own anything apple.

While I'm not a big fan of apple or their products, I don't see the iphone or ipad as overpriced. Android manufacturers are struggling to make a competing tablet at the same price and build quality...

I saw those articles. lmfao just goes to show how childish alot of IOS users are. they are hating the fact that Android has Instagram now. Android flood of instagram users will overtake apple users in a short period of time. Android has way larger user base. I got it on my Atrix. haven't really tried it out yet. seems like a bunch of b.s. really. so i want to see what the hype is over. I hope its not just some dumb filters as I've had those and more alot longer on android in general. seems like some kind of picture sharing thing mostly between users. overrated IMO.
also funny is how the most popular iPhone model is the free 3gs iPhone offered by at&t. lol. how can we be poor if they using a free phone..lol

This is horrible. What pisses me off the most about Apple is that they outsource their manufacturing and claim that it is to keep the cost of their product down, yet I believe they have the highest priced devices. Secondly they create a standard for the outrageously priced devices when they could EASILY shave 30 to 40 percent of the price on ALL of their mobile products if not ALL of them products. And, what's the worst part of all is that the mobile market is exponentially growing, meaning the two grand you dropped on your current phone/tablet setup will be obsolete in 3 to 6 months. Rather than really fine tune a product, they continually shell out new devices with "better" specs. Kinda ridiculous the way they produce products, even Android is guilty of this. It's bad for the consumer, but great for the companies. I mean why create a solid product that stays current for at least a year when you can make devices obsolete after three months which in turn will guarantee that at least a greater percentage of consumers will repurchase the newest devices at a quicker pace. Whatever happened to companies providing what is best for the consumer and not what makes the most amount of money in the shorted amount of time!
Oh well, it is what it is. Before you know it there will be an entirely new type of gadget out that replaces the smart phone/tablet all together and then the cycle repeats but with higher prices and shorter device life spans. Actually, to be honest, I am suprised that we aren't forced into purchasing firmware upgrades... Hmm, maybe I shouldn't of said that, I could totally see a CEO reading this post and going ZOMG GREAT IDEA $50 to update your device!
In any event, kudos to Cult of Mac for reporting on this, given that they're describing a large part of their own audience.

But I do have to say that when people buy an iPhone, they don't just buy a phone. They buy into a highly proprietary culture that promotes thoughtless spending.
Android? Well just comparing how easy it is to get refunds for purchases on Play vs App Store should give us all a good idea.

LOL! That is funny!
Social media really brings out the stupid in people. We used to think about something before sharing it with the world but now people share it with the world before thinking about it. It is because there always seems to be an audience (the internet) available. This is not the only case. (Incoming Hunger Games Spoiler) A while ago when the Grammys were on there was the whole "I would let Chris Brown beat me any day" tweets. Then when the Hunger Games movie came out there was the whole "I don't feel so bad about Rue anymore after finding out she was black".

lol all their rage right now.
What I get from this is Apple users blindly buy apps and hope they work for what they want it to do (As there is no refund). With Android I'm going to look for the free app if i'm looking for a specific function. If it does it well, then It might entice me to look into the paid version to see what extras you get if you pay for it. There are a lot of crap apps, and you kinda have to test them all to find the best one that works for you. It's annoying when there are no free apps on Apple to test what you want to do, and if the app you bought isn't what you thought it was or has problems, you can't refund. Sucks!
I really hate waking up, reading a thread and finding out Im poor.

Apple has kept a pretty consistent 1 year release schedule. Also why would you expect a company to lower their prices when they are selling their products as fast as they can? They arn't charities.

Why so much iPhone hate?

I know I don't have a lot of posts and you guys don't see me around a lot, but I'm on this forum for a couple hours each day and I just see a TON of Apple and iPhone hate. What I don't understand is why you hate them so much. A lot of you categorize ANY iPhone user as a sheep who doesn't know that there's any other phone out there.
I have an iPhone and I can guarantee you that I'm not a sheep. I chose my 4S because the specs are great and I love iOS. I also bought an Evo 3D on ebay because I like Sense also. I use my iPhone as my main phone because it fits me best, I love the apps, and I get updates the day that they are released (ICS was released back in October, thats 7 months ago and we still don't have it on our phones!!!!). Just because I prefer a different phone than you doesn't mean that I follow everyone else. It just means I have a different preference than you.
It annoys me that the majority of users on this forum think that Apple is evil and anyone who owns an iPhone is evil as well. Why can't you accept that people have different preferences on phones and that doesn't make them sheep or stupid fanboys?
I'll probably receive a lot of trolling because of this thread, but I just wanted to get this off my chest.
It really goes both ways; just as you have rabid Apple fans, you have crazy Android fans. There are a lot of really immature people here who don't seem to think before they post. Many of them seem to believe that just because they decided to be different that they are better than people who purchased Apple devices.
I don't really understand why people are so insecure with their choice that they feel the need to belittle others, but they do it. Even mentioning something that iOS has over Android will provoke twenty people saying that once they overclock their phone, tweak everything, and so on, they are able to get the same performance as iOS and that Apple users are homosexuals and etc.
It's like a group of people sitting at their computers waiting for someone to say "Apple" so that they can go on about their petty little vendettas against Apple. It's like a group of children who only want to pick on each other. It's disgusting. They're just hypocrites, and not worth anyone's time.
i completely understand you and i also dont understand why so much hate, but i think it is more between samsung and apple users XD i also like iphone, ios and sense but i dont like small screens, so thats reason why i never even thought about buying and iphone xD but if there will be iphone with bigger screen, ill consider about buying it, but ill keep my evo
I Personally don't like Apple or any of their products. Never owned one and never will, I'm proud to say so.
I will say they are very good at what they do. When the IPhone first came out, it was very impressive.
You are right, it is just a matter of preference. Most people on here like HTC phones. I'm sure if go on IPhone forums and start talking about HTC phones, they will hang you out to dry.
The name calling specifically sheep, has mostly been in jest
The recent hate is justified though. These lawsuits apple has been filing are for the most part frivolous because the wacked patent system in the US. The EVO 4G LTE was delayed because apple claimed it infringed on one of its patents. HTC found a workaround to avoid using the patent but even so one unit per shipment of phones has to be examined by US Customs thus delaying the phone some more.
Important to note that iPhone 5 is being held up or delayed to workaround 5 patents HTC owns.
Both companies have been suing each other. However one has been a royal douche. One of the companies says the other blatantly copied the former while in fact the former ripped off features from the latter in its last major OS update. If you haven't noticed, the former is Apple and the latter is HTC. It's appalling because Apple is making more money than ever and can't be happy with that.
For me, I say screw the patent system and let all the companies out innovate each other, that way the consumer wins.

i refer to the sheep as those who buy it for posing around with....then when they see another phone they start moaning that the iphone can't do this and that and the other. And the fact that people complain about the monthly prices after buying them and signing the extortionate contract.
Also i don't like the fact that how some iphone users seem to belittle others by very slyly implying their phone's better by doing this that and what have you, and if you argue...it doesn't go down well with them.
Again this is only for the minority who own idevices but the minority is making their voices heard and the majority who buy and iphone and get on with their life suffer.
THAT WAS THE USERS.....NOW THE ACTUAL PHONE
I like what they've done, its pretty much bought that section of the market along with the rest of the competition to the mainstream. the phone specs right now are good...the original bunch of iphones not having 3g and multi-tasking? wtf to that decision....but anyways they learnt. I myself am thinking about getting an ipad 2 soon (depends on a few things....not $) because it is way ahead of anything for now.
the lawsuits don't help, i dont care whether its for stopping products or the conspiracy of giving them publicity. they need to stop because its a bad PR for anyone, including the consumer.

Welcome to XDA, can't even refer people here because it's a bunch of 2 year old out trolling the other.
On a OP note. Apple has to be doing something right. They customer service rates are so much higher. I loved my iPhone. Yes we don't have ics yet but who cares. The ONLY beef I have with my current setup is sprint. I know not HTC's fault. I can not stand having to download a video to watch it because it's faster to do that then stream one. All in all HTC ftw on AT&T network? Lolz

I own an iPhone and iPod. Daily devices have always been Android phones though. It's all preference. I need the Open Source nature of Android.
Some people are better suited for an ios device.
Being called a sheep isn't technically inaccurate as a majority of ios users don't believe in much else besides the device they have.
I don't agree with fanboyism though, It's annoying and immature, but it'll always continue.

Apple are marketing geniuses. I don't get into the fanboy wars between either OS, but my problem with Apple is the way they lock down their OS & the choice of apps, or rather I say users have no free choice of apps cuz they only get what Apple feels is good for them. Now they have amazing hardware, but the cost for it isn't worth it IMO since they're paying way less for the parts & production of their products.

I completely agree, unfortunately the stuck up people from either side are the ones who let themselves be heard. I see Apple fans also hate on Android a lot and I really don't see why everyone can't accept that other phones and OS's are really cool.

It's definitely worse between Apple and Samsung, but I still see stuff between HTC guys and Apple guys. I can kinda see the Samsung thing because they have actually taken ideas from Apple, but HTC? I think Apple and HTC are the best two phone companies out there. The screen doesn't really bother me, but I would like a bigger one.

This video pretty much sums up the attitude of a lot (not ALL) of Apple users. This is why I will never buy an Apple product. At first, yeah, the iPhone was cool. Now there are much better devices (technically speaking) that do much more, yet "Oh my God look mommy it's an iPhone!" is still heard everywhere as if it's some sort of magical device. I suppose my hatred for Apple products stems from irritation from ignorant consumers who simply get on my nerves.
The reason why there are people who have issues with Apple is simple: Apple has become an icon of Corporate World. Yes, corporations are evil and after Steve Jobs has resigned from Apple even more people have turned against Apple. By buying an iPhone you support the wealth-culture that thrives on social inequalities created and sustained by global corporations. There is nothing wrong about hate towards corporations and those who support them. It is only natural.
In fact Android (while being not so different from Apple in its core) still represents all those have-nots who deserve just as much as their wealthy counterparts.
As for homosexuals and iPhones, well...this is obvious: they have become the driving force of the trend-over-intelligence kind of tendency that have only added more crap to already TV-brainwashed minds of the general North American population. Another thing homosexuals should have never done was occupying the entire artistic and design-related industries and forcing all the talented straight folks out of the market to completely eradicate even the possibility of having a healthy competition that can damage their reputation as the only worthy artists on the planet.
Now the iPhone owners are called sheep because of that very trend-over-intelligence choice the majority of them have made when they chose to buy iPhone. Did you notice that all these crappy musicians and graphic artists turn to Apple computers not because of the fact that those are the most optimized for the industry tools, but simply because they are the most expensive ones? Just like the worst musicians always own the most expensive instruments that money can buy.

I personally don't like the iphone because 1. The screen is tiny 2. They want to charge you for every and anything (including help)smh 3. It's very easy to break and 4. All roads lead to apples wallet, they limit you to only the apps and music they want you to have! I do believe apple is evil and don't care about there consumers at all. Yeah ics isn't here yet but android phones still have better costumer assistance. I bought a g5 apple for thousands of dollars just to find out its incompatible with lots of things including websites like netflix for example and can't even be updated therefor I have to spend a few more thousand for a new one... **** apple!

I have both Android and IPS devicrs(phone, iPod & ipad). Both have pluses and minuses. The frivalous lawsuits by all companies is getting annoying.
Pluses to Android is the openness. I use my phone for work and personal. I want to be able to have the option to block calls with a white list and also block calls permanently. I jailbroke my iPhone but it had several app issues. Once I returned to stack all issues went away.
Minuses for Android is background bugs that lead to severe battery drains. Some of the apps on Android are not as nice as iOS.
Pluses for iPhones are accessory like extended life batteries as a case and battery as one

Why people buy iphones?

So this is why people buy the iphone. Now I get it.

I phones are for people who can't think for themselves. Their boring childish. And worst of all an apple product. I hate iTunes. Their good for people like my mother cause they are user friendly.
It's a choice simple as that. No need to start these threads since they just start flame wars then mods have to clean/lock them.
I recommend iPhones to people who have never had a smart phone before and don't quite grasp the idea that these are more like computers that make phone calls then "phones".
Also people don't like huge phones that don't fit in their hand right or purse right.(my mother)
Also people already have all their music library in iTunes so syncing with an iPhone is easy.
Also their are a TON of accessories for iStuff.
There are lots of reasons to buy iPhones.
iPhones are for the people that like them.
Android phones are for the people that like them.
Simple as that.
iPhones aren't bad phones at all. No need to be such fanboys. Everyone has their preferences. I love iOS and Android but I prefer Android

IPhones are great phones it's just that the competition is better and generally cheaper. I own the 4s and my s3 is a billion miles ahead. The Lumia 920 is close to being on par with the s3. This is a grey area between fact and opinion because when you can list a billion reasons why one is objectively better than the other and the other has very few reasons, then it's no longer pure opinion. Don't get me wrong, I love my ipad and iphone but the phones have a long way to catch up. They are great for older people, simple people, busy business people, and basically anyone who only uses their phone for sms, calls, facebook, email, camera and music.
for people who want a fun personal feeling phone and do a lot of suicidal communication and like to keep up to date with networks, wp is perfect.
For people who want to use their phone 24/7 and can't live without it, love to be able to do what they want with it, love freedom, use it as a consumption device as well as their personal computer, then android is the suitor.
fanboys or haters of any of them are just idiots. All phones and os have a place and everyone can enjoy them though different types of user prefer their specific os that fits their needs.

I hate these threads I really do. Im an android kinda guy always have been. But I constantly suggest iphones to people who ask. I also suggest assorted android phones. Iphones have their place. My step dad has it for work and its the best thing he could ever have everyone else has it and they all show each other cool stuff. If you already own a mac an iphone just makes life easy. It has its place whether you like it or not. Inb4 closed.

The Iphone is more for 2 types of people. Someone that wants all their decisions made for them and people that are technically retarded that want to appear they are part of the "in" crowd. Being with android since the very beginning though I must admit that when android started it was not on par with the Iphone at that time but seeing the expandability and openness of android I knew exactly where it could and, with the proper developers and support from the community, would go. In the past 3 years I have converted several of my Iphone toting buddies just by showing them all the things that android can do. One friend was going to get an Ipad and an Iphone 5 until I showed him my Nexus 7. After that he bought a Nexus 7 and a Nexus 4 and he said he has never looked back. His only regret...All the damn apps he paid for on Itunes. As a side note he did technically buy an Iphone 5. He used his subsidized Iphone upgrade then sold it as soon as he walked out the door for 700$. So I guess technically he only paid $200 for a Nexus 4 and a 32gig Nexus 7.
Well, everyone's number one reason why they prefer iPhones is because they are simple and easy to use. I looked at my niece's cell phone and realized its exactly what apple fans dream of.
So simple..numbers on front and easy one touch music button. Even talks to you like if you have nobody to talk to...like Siri...
My wife's number one reason for getting an iPhone was because "it has cute cases". We both agree that android is easier to use though. I've owned androids since the G1 released and finally decided to play with an iPhone when my wife got thre 5 last month. Thing is incredibly annoying to use and can be confusing at times, probably mainly because there is no back button. I really don't know how people who have used both OSs can claim iOS to be easier to navigate. If android ceased to exist tomorrow, I would go to Windows phone before iOS.

Everyone have their preferences and choices...My sister use iphone and i think it's audio output is more better than any android phone i've use.
The size, screen, ease of use, ability to sync with apple products, performance, etc are all reasons someone would go with an iPhone.
No reason to start a flame war here. Some people like ios and some people like android, its really a personal preference.
The reason this silly debate continues to come up is because there are fanboys out there that refuse to believe another company, besides the one that made their phone, could actually make a decent phone.

I'm not saying your wrong, but I've never come across a number or address that didn't take you to the dialer or maps, unless it was an image.
Iphone- hundreds of accessories
Android- hardly any
With a iphone. You can do virtually anything not so much with android. Ex: iphone can control rx helis while android doesn't have the app nor do developers want to spend time on it. Also with the iphone there is no fragmentation while android is nothing but fragmentation.
Everyone has their own prefrences. I for one chose apple over android but I still use android as well. Best of both worlds I guess

I am calling BS there.
I have run across at least three remote control helicopters that have both iOS and Android apps. A quick play store search shows results as well.
As for fragmentation.... Its hard to have fragmentation with a stagnating OS Android OTOH releases updates too quickly and the hardware variety is too varied to even hope that companies would keep up. The only way to stop Android fragmentation is to close the source and limit manufacturers while signing contracts to provide updates as soon as they are available for every device, denying carrier control.
We agree on everyone having their preferences.

im a huge android phone and huge apple hater but i have to completely disagree with you. ios is way easier to use than android. thats why i got my mom an iphone. the thing with the back button is simple there is always an option on the top left of an app to go back.
