Is that really working or is it just "in development" still?
Hyao, gtfo, you are a spammer and/or moron.
Well it says RC so I dont think its fully stable yet
Why don't you do two things:
Add "question" to your thread's title so that forum viewers don't burst in excitement as they see a thread labeled CyanogenMod and think that a release candidate is ready for download.
Post questions in the Q&A section. If a CyanogenMod thread is going to be in the development section, it should be about development.

if you would have clicked on your own link you would realize that you are wrong...wow, I now see why devs leave xda, it's a shame really, us users need to be more aware. the only person (okay not the only) that didn't post his roms here was htc clay for the g1 but someone would post it here "with his permission" not just random post like this one...it's not hard ppl just do your homework before you post something...

Before anything else....title of the forum is not Cynogenmod for vibrant....lol....
Actually it looks like there is a RC0 release foor the Vibrant but it is likely only available for the devs:
http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/8302-the-state-of-the-galaxy/
It appears a reminder may be in order, about the purpose of the development fora on XDA.
If you have developed a ROM, or are working with others to do so, the development forum is somewhere to discuss and share ideas, post useful feedback and logs or crash dumps, and to discuss a common goal developers are trying to achieve.
It is NOT the place to post your question because it gets higher traffic, or because more experienced users frequent it. Doing this just annoys those who are working on the device, and drives them away. Developers don't want to wade through 20 threads of "Help me urgently" to find their threads for porting and fixing camera issues etc. Similarly, if a thread is designated as discussion for developers say, porting a camera fix, please do not post in there asking "When will it be ready?", "Can I flash this yet?" etc. This is both completely disrespectful to those working on the project (you evidently haven't read the important posts in the thread), and also is making it harder for developers to find comments from other developers or testers when required.
Similarly, don't make loads of "Thanks for your work here" posts in an active development thread. It's just as annoying to developers as asking when something will be ready. If a ROM is complete, then go ahead and thank the developer if you wish, but don't go into threads for devs only, and interrupt it to post "thanks". It's basically spamming, and is treated as such.
If you are posting in development, you should have read every sticky and notice there, and should be actively developing or helping in the development of something. Developing isn't installing a ROM, or using a tweak, it's creating a ROM or other hack or tweak. If you haven't read for several days before starting out on XDA, you are likely about to ask something already solved. I registered on XDA when I first wanted to post, and that was to join in a discussion on something. Sure, join up and ask a question, but read the information available in General and Q&A first, as your question will have been asked before. Search is your friend here, become familiar with it.
Regarding when to post in development if you are not actually developing something, there is one occasion where it's acceptable. If you find a leak of a new ROM, which isn't already posted, and you verify it's legitimacy via either running it, or based on the source you obtained it from, then this is assisting in development, and should be posted in development. If you want to ask when a leak will be available use search first, then if not already in discussion, open a thread in general or Q&A.
If you have a problem flashing a ROM, this is NOT related to development. It's up to you to determine if it is specific to a particular ROM, and post useful information in that developer's existing thread for the ROM. If it happens on more than one ROM, and isn't a known issue (remember you should read several times more words than you post), then find out what you are doing wrong. Check guides written by others, try to repeat the problem and see if it happens every time. Something needs to be reproducible to be fixed effectively.
Once you have identified what you need help with go to the device Q&A forum (general if device lacks one), and make a clear, informative thread that explains the issue, and what you have tried doing to fix it. Did you re-download the ROM? Did you ask a friend to flash it for you, to reduce chance of user error? What steps (exactly) did you follow? What errors did you see (exact wording)? Did you double check all the steps? Did you do a wipe or hard reset?
If you make a clear, concise, yet detailed post, you will find help forthcoming, and should get the problem sorted very quickly. If someone suggests you try something, report back on what happened, did it work etc. Then, next time someone has this issue and searches, they will find this and have a verified and tested solution.
So remember... before you start a thread in development, ask yourself what you are developing. If you can't answer, then stop, step away from the post button, and think about where you are posting. Would it be better in General or Q&A, or is some more time with your best friend, search, required?
I've been looking into this myself and what I think I'd like to do is grab the best bits of the various ROMs I've used. No disrespect to the guys who have been making some brilliant ROMs but I'd like to dabble with a deeper layer of customisation
Is there a "kitchen" programme that will allow me to do this for x10? Also how do I check a programmes compatibility with certain kernels and basebands? Do Android .apk files rely on external libraries or files like Windows do? If so is there a way I can check an .apk's dependencies?
Sorry for so many questions but this is new to me and would like to get a handle on where to start. Thanks in advance
you can start with posting in the right sections

If you really know what you're doing, download the zips for the ROMs you like to mix and start mixing!
To see apk depedencies, perhaps decompiling them with APK Manager and checking the AndroidManifest could give you a clue.
Don't really know that much, so perhaps someone else can give you
a better answer!
Cheers Immortal, I'm guessing simply copy and pasting between ROMs won't work that well. Will look into Android Manifest, appreciated
Many apologies riginal, whereabouts should I have been looking? I assumed that being as I was asking for information about ROM building, and leading into a discussion about baseband compatability that here would be a good place to ask. I don't want to treat this place as merely a repository of other peoples work, I was hoping to learn and contribute
Chef Central has no x10 specific sections or threads that have been updated anytime recently. The X10 Q&A section here garnered no answers, not even pithy ones like your one above that serves no constructive purpose and was merely written to build your post count
You even failed to direct me to a correct area. How am I ever to learn without the simplest direction? You didn't even report my post so the actual mods could move it, or PM me so I could delete and repost elsewhere. Back to moderation school for you, I'm confiscating your banstick as well. Put that e-peen away, seriously, lead, follow or get out of the way
Apologies to the real mods, but self aggrandaising posts such as his are one of the worst things about the internet, especially fora with public post counts and status bars

Can we please get a sticky for posting only sterescopic 3rd party apps in? I know we dont have many available, but it's a chore looking for them in market. It'd be nice for us to be able to post our finds somewhere for other to people to know about them. Thanks.

Process for getting a new sticky on XDA:
Identify a need for something specific
Identify the most relevant sub-forum for this need
Make a kick-ass thread that engages and informs readers, including thorough and current information presented in a concise and easy to read format
Based on the activity in the thread decide whether or not you should ask for it to be stickied
Wait patiently
I'm not a mod, or a wanna be mod. I'm not chastising or trolling. If you want a sticky thread the fastest way to get it is make it yourself. Make it awesome and you just might get it stickied.

^^^^This
good rules for getting a sticky. we wont create a special sticky for you. you need to create the thread, get community support, then we sticky.
once you have a thread that is worth sticking, pm a mod of the forum you want it stickied in and ask.
Good to know

Yup, what he said...
A thread for them was started here but it hasn't been updated in awhile
I know theres rules, but considering the nature of the request, shouldn't we just have a sticky already? I mean 3d stuff is hard to find and very niche at this point. I would think anyone modding a 3d forum would want this stickied anyway, I mean it is a 3d forum.
New On XDA or New With Your S3, Here are few Things You Need To Remember Before Posting in the 'General Q&A section' about your Issues.
Here You See And Learn Many More Things When Your Are New On Xda
A Very Nice Detailed Info By Saywhatt
[HOW TO] make a substantial THREAD, POST, QUESTION and POLL
[GUIDE] HOW TO POST: Understanding the UI in posting
[HOW TO] make a substantial THREAD, POST, QUESTION and POLL
Huge Thanks To Saywhatt For Sharing Knowledge
So Here We Go ,
Well we always do notice that people in the 'General Q&A section' are not putting nearly enough information in their Post and Title to get proper solution to ther issues.
Reasons:
[*] A bad Title like ' plz help', ' urgent', 'phone dead' etc.
[*] No relavent info about the phone Model/ ROM/KERNEL/MODEM etc in there post.
Since insufficient info causes hindrence for members who are willing to help and leads to ask lots of questions from them and the very same(lack of info) will delay getting the solution for you.
So this Guide will show you what you need to include in your post to get the most efficient answer to your question.
We'll start with the Title:
- Just Writing Help , Bricked , Guys Help Me out Wont Be Enough For People Having knowledge Of You’re your Issue To Help You Out.
Provide A Better Title Like
“ I Soft Bricked My Phone “
“ Having Kernel Issues”
- You need to be precise, and describe what you're looking for in your thread.
Next, the Information you need to state before you even get into asking your question.
Dont Start Off Or Just Dont Write 'I Flashed This Rom/Kernel And Cannot Boot Up or Stuck At Logo / Boot Loop plz help' and sit and wait for solution's to pour in for you.
Rather try to provide more basic info like:
- The make of your phone. There are many different variants of your device Samsung Galaxy S3 I9300 /G/M/P/T
- What Rom/Kernel/Modem you are using?
- Are you rooted/unrooted?
- Have you flashed any mods/scripts/themes?
- Have you changed DPI? If yes, to what?
- Have you done anything to try to solve your issue prior to posting the same?
since these would be very valuable information,
which do aid a member who is ready to help with your issue for sure.
Additionally, visual aids like 'Screeen shot' or a small 'Video clip' will help a lot in resolving issue's in a better way for sure.
For people who are with Stock Rom's:
Please dial *#1234# and post the results (thanks to fxrb) if your not sure about the Rom/Kernel/Modem info.
And also adding the relavent info of ROM/Kernel/Modem to ur signature will save time in providing the same.
After You Completed The Above Steps Its Time When you can ask your question.
And do Remember:
- Do not ask "What rom/kernel/theme is the best?" -or- Something that you have not searched for (it is infact very obvious if you havent), since its against XDA rule
- Be specific and precise in what you want/need. Do not write a 10,000 word essay, or a 3 word question.
And Always Remember On Xda The Most Important Rules :
- Be polite: People never want to help someone who wont appreciate it, or is rude to them. Remember your p's and q's
- Do not bump your thread: It gets annoying and against the rules
This is just a begining and will take a bit to include all of the information needed.
I know there are lots of more experienced users than I, and would love feedback of what to include.
Please do not hesitate to post in the thread or even PM me with your valuable inputs you think needs to be included in this thread.
Reserved
and another one if needed
and one more
well its a pretty decent effort from ur end for sure Buddy
now its the people (new Comers) who has to utilize the same in an efficient way
and if its made 'Sticky' by the Mod's, will be more helpfull

A useful guide for noobs but unfortunately as is always the case on XDA it will probably get lost in translation and as usual you'll have people on asking the same usual questions, the only solution as ive said all along is when people register on XDA as part of the sign up process they must tick a disclaimer that they need to use the search function and if they don't and ask noobish questions they get a temporary ban for a week and if after that they persist a full ban, it might sound extreme but as far as i can see this really is the only solution to stop noobs from posting the same questions day in, day out, year in, year out, it seriously has to be implemented, many good people have left XDA from when i first came on here because of noobs and to be honest you can hardly blame them, pretty much every answer noobs want is highly likely to already be on XDA somewhere and can be found via the search function.

In short, I miss your awesome work. We need dedicated-to-quality developers like you in the android community! But I know I'm not the only person who thinks that, so check out the comments below and please come back to us!
To Community/Mods
This is a dedicated thread, to try and get an awesome kernel developer back. Ziggy471 was known for putting out some of the best kernels for any device he worked on, but about 1 year ago he stopped producing new material. So now I have started this thread in the hopes that we can encourage him to start producing again. If anyone knows how to contact him, please send him a link to this thread so he can get the messages from everyone who posts!
Also, he is still around, as of 9/13/2012, he was last active in his GIT repo 3 days ago! However, we still want him to get this message. (To check his repo Click Here)
If you have ever used Ziggy's work, and you want to see him come back please comment below!
