I have loop sim card..... i want to bring my cells internet connection (wich is wap and its free for 3 months) to pc..... any help or guide plz.... help
Connect phone to pc, go to settings>wireless and networks>tethering and portable hotspot and check 'usb tethering'. You can now access the internet.

I have cm7.... is it possible... i didnt tried stilled i will work it later
It works perfectly both using wireless tether and usb tether on mik's CM7 6.5, I'm certain it works in stock ROM's also.

Hello ,im from mumbai ,i also faced the same difficulty in accessing internet on pc ,so firstly connect your cell to pc via any method maybe wifi tethering ,usb tethering or a bluetooth connection ,when it shows connected ,you now need a software called as proxifier(search on google) ,then download it create a new profile and create an https proxy with address 10.0.0.10 and port address as 9401 and username should be any loop valid mobile number ,and then check the internet via any browser.

You could do it connecting the phone to the wifi, but if you want to connect the phone via USB and connect to the ethernet it's not possibile...

My bad, never heard about it... Anyway it seems to be very difficult to do and the guy reports some errors while doing it on windows...
This is the only way.... else no luck..
Go get your self a USB wifi router that's easy. Or any wifi router. Don't you have a old bsnl wifi router. Or ask the cabel net wala to give wifi router.

well i successfully did Reverse USB Tethering with the help of mycila blog .. as i also use ubuntu 11.04 with windows 7.. i neva try this on windows but i'm sure its easy on windows as well.. nd let me tell u i neva faced a single issue with it as i also use broadband for pc with no wifi... really handy whn u wanna install big apps or games in phone via market

Go setting klik wireless and look for tethering hotspot.. Klik mobileAP. On laptop online ur wifi and u can see androidap connection then u can surf..

I dont install any software to use internet frm my ace.. Just using mobileAP and you can put password on that.. Its cool also no use cable..

ok here's the scenario, im using 3G internet and its working perfect on my SGA but when i connect it to my pc using usb tethering, the pc can obtain ip address from my phone but cant connect to internet websites same thing when i use mobileAP with or without password other phone can connect to my tethered wifi but they cannot surf or browse internet( i've tried different phones to connect to my mobileAP but still no good)... i'm still using coderom nexusace.

Globe doesn't support mobile tethering even for the iPhone unless you pay them more and activate tethering through one of their supersurf plans. Same with Sun. Not sure with Smart.
Is the phone branded for example I whit three net work.l can't tether with my threr network locked phone. But a can with my genaric htc.

install usb drivers for your phone
you should have internet activated on your phone.
connect phone to pc
settings->wireless&network settings->tethering & portable hotspot->usb tethering (enable usb tethering)

Is there any app for andriod (2.3 or below) that allow communication between 2 andriod device via WiFi or Bluetooth which work without GPRS /internet or if even using internet , it must be easy to configure..
like telnet of PC.
like if some one is in office /college and he is in range of wifi of his mate then could communicte ..
plz do share app name if u found One.

use wifi hotspot.. open ..use .. u can use or frd net .. u both use .. in one net connection ....with wifi hotspot

Hi,
I'm not a specialist of the topic so maybe you already tested the solution I'll give you but I used the Portable WiFi Hotspot and it was working...
(Settings --> Wireless and Network --> Tethering and portable hostpost)
The inbuilt tethering works well as stated above.

do not need an app dude.. WiFi Hotspot does just that.. You can even achieve the same using thr data cable.. via USB
