I got a very strange problem with MiniCM7. Sometimes, the web browsers I use randomly shuts down without any message of a force close or anything like that. Could anyone of you create a web browser if you feel you have time? Is there anything you require from me, then?

Try going to xRecovery > Advanced options > Fix Permissions.
If persist, try using another browser, like skyfire, also you can give us a logcat when force close.
Cheers,

it should not be quiting if fix permissions not work try a fresh install
Factory reset and then install ROM

I have tried all the possible browsers, including Myron browser but even there it shuts down. I don't get a force close, it just shuts down without notice. It freezes for like a microsecond before it shuts down. How can I get a logcat of this?
Edit: I will try to see it fixing permission does it, but what does that actually do?

Give right permissions to app, so they should not FC because of bad permissions, if still dont working, make a clean install as said owain, and be sure ofc you baseband is right.
Cheers

I was playing around in about:debug in the default browser, and I know I should have backed it up first, but it slipped my mind. Now it force closes when I try to open it. So I was wondering if there is some way to reset it, or if anyone has the apk so I can just replace mine. Thanks.
the apk is in the system dump posted by wes garner

You can also try this if you root:

(sorry, I can't link)
I followed what aloant did, and that worked perfectly.
Ok, first of all - I'm seriously gonna buy somebody a big beer if he can tell me how to repair the stuff below without reflashing. No kidding...

When I go to default SE massager (conversations.apk), and hit the "Settings" option from the menu I get a force close... No way I can get in to that settings, and I need them to disable the standard notifications.
- How did that happened?

Well I'm not sure, but I think I deleted some stock apk that I was just not using (ofc from system/app folder). The Conversation.apk is there obviously, but like I've said, settings in it - not reachable because of the force close.
It's hard for me to say which app is responsible for that. I am sitting, and restoring them one-by-one with no effect. Maybe I miss some... Don't really know
Ofc I've tried to delete, and restore Conversations.apk (new), I've even installed a X10i version, but still - the same problem.
Reflashing is not an option for me, so I have a big problem. Be thankful for any suggestions.
Doesn't help you, but I have the same issue, a reflash doesn't help have just got into habit of clearing notifications after every text.
@batwingnz
Thanks for replay. Hope someone can help us. The problem is really annoying, and after your post I have no clue wtf generates it... :/
Done! -Tutorial-
Wow, finally I found a way to get rid of this problem once and for all!
This took a while, but anyway...
I've installed the stock "SEMCSettings.apk" from old 1.6 (attached to post).
Simply:
- copied apk to system/app
- changed permissions
- restarted the phone
Voila! Now theres no force close when trying to get in the messages settings.
Quick Edit: The SEMSSettings.apk from 2.1 also works great on that issue
You are the MAN!!! So many thanks!!!
Hey Guys,
If you are having the re-draw issue, try this. I can confirm that it fixed my re-draw issue.
Settings>Developer options>Uncheck "Don't keep activities"
After you do this, you should get the re-draw one more time, afterwards, there should be no more re-draws. I was also able to re-create the re-draw issue when I checked the "Don't keep activities" option.
Hope this helps!
Btw, I'm using the Nordic Combined version of ICS right now.

Bad developers,or bad android os.

Worked for me, my friend. Just thought I'd see if it could help others.
I also cleared my internal storage and reset my phone before the flash. As well, I have "automatic restore" in Backup and Reset, unchecked before I re-downloaded all my apps.
Thanks a lot !!!!!!!
It fixed my re-draw issue. No more home screen re draws for me yayyyyyyyyyyy

Isn't that the default option (if you flash a ROM fresh, that option is unchecked by default). So how does it help
Try opening loads of windows in the browser and looking for a good 10-15 mins and see if it's still fixed?
Sent from my Xperia S on which The Kernel has been installed but he bought no chicken.....
Thanks for the trick, it work!

Thanks Mate worked for me too. Initially i also flashed directly on .75 but was feeling lags. Today i reflashed after clearing Internal memory and restoring too default. But today I was very unhappy with the lags that too when i have only the stock softwares. The Leg was killing me when i perform basic functions such as going to dialer and it shows redraw while coming back to home screen the icons on home screen will take second or two to come back and was thinking of going back to GB but your post helped me.
I really don't think sony has worked very well on the update or may be they haven't provided proper installation information to customers.
Please note when i initially flashed wihtout restoring to default and clearing internal memory even for me these options are unchecked. Also today i flashed with SUS not PCC.

To tell you the truth, after flashing and before I did anything else (install apps, etc.), I would go into settings and set everything back to how I had them on GB which included checking that option. So this time around, I installed all apps before settings which led me to discover that that option was what was causing my redraw issue.

I don't know how many windows that I usually have open, but under normal use so far, I haven't had another redraw of my home screen. Give it a try, it only takes 2 seconds, my friend.

Hmmm, have you tried to check it then start a few apps in the home screen and then uncheck it? It was unchecked by default, then I went and checked it (unknowingly), then once I unchecked it, the redraw issue was gone.
Does clearing internal storage help lags? because im facin sluggishness when opening apps like dialer SMS or contacts...

I can not confirm whether it does or does not. However, I've taken a browse at some of the folders and files that are left behind from various uninstalled apps and such, I would propose that it is probably a good idea to clear your internal storage and perform a factory reset before your flash. Now, once again, I can not confirm whether this actually does anything, but it's just what I did.
mhm okay.. could you try to open some heavy apps like browser or games and then right after open the dialer or contacts and tell me how fast it is?

I tried it. The initial launch was a slower than normal however, after that, it was fast like normal.
okay.. just cleared everything.. its way faster now imo.. thanks mate! =)
It should be unchecked by default in all pure stock ROMs. If it was enabled on your phone it means you manually enabled it before, or the custom ROM you installed had it enabled.
Yes, it was unchecked. But as a habit (probably because, like everyone in here, I'm obsess with making sure that I have the most amount of memory free), after flashing, I would go and check it; not knowing that it was causing an issue with this version of ICS. Now, I certainly suspect that this alone did not "fix" the issue, I'm thinking that it was a combination of clearing the internal storage, resetting the phone, and not checking "kill application" that fixed this issue.
Hi, I'm new to the forums, searched around, and couldnt find this problem on the note 2.
I just bought mine a couple of days ago, and accidentally added a new home screen. I dont have a use for it, but when i tried to go to edit page -> and drag and drop it into the trash can, the phone freezes, and comes up with the message "Unfortunately, TouchWiz home has stopped."
My phone is stock, and is not running any extra launcher programs.
Anyone else having this problem?
Thanks for your help.
I just tried it and was able to delete all but the homepage (I haven't bothered to set any others up yet anyways). I'd restart your phone and try again.

anyone have a fix?

Hi there! I'm having some doubts about the phone, switching between apps forces app refresh, even if I switch only for a couple of seconds. If I was filling up a form and had to check something in another app (let's say a bank app), everything I completed resets itself. If I was using a browser, leave it for a couple of seconds, come back, it refreshes the website (spending data and time). Any way to make it better? A really fast phone but this is bothering me.
Here is a video I recorded to show what I mean.
https://youtu.be/b_wrBgJrS4M
Tried limiting 4 background process as someone suggested me but it didn't change behavior.
Thanks!

I think you should add wanted application to App protection (actually you have to remove them from the list of "killable" applications, they will appear in Disabled auto cleaning part).
You will find those settings in Phone Manager > Power saving management > App protection.
If you want all applications to be kept you should disable Ultra-long standby during sleep.
Let me know if it has worked.

All the browsers keep refreshing when I get back to them, do you have any tip for that? I know its something they just do, but perhaps you know

Nothing more sorry, thought that adding borwsers to "don't kill" list would stop theses refresh. Maybe it's the way your browsers are designed. Try others to compare.
I tried a couple of browsers, opera, chrome, dolphin, they all do the same, the only that kind of works are the bubble type browsers but I don't find them stable enough. Oh well, if you think of something let me know, for now I'm grateful you could help me the way you did.

Well really weird
Btw just an update, I installed the USA .16s version and its a really nice improvement over the Chinese .14 that I had, now I can see my phone using the ram as intended, the old rom always had 1 - 1.6gb free and cleaning the memory all the time.
