Hi everybody,
I noticed a huge battery drain in my SGS2, so I switched the screen to the lowest brightness as I though it is the reason .. but after a day of observation I got this figures

Please advise

I don't really get it. So you're getting 23 hours but 81% Android OS. Did you only showed black pixels or what? Even at lowest I don't get that.
BTW, you can take screenshots by pressing home + power button. No need for third party apps .
So instead of having a look at the threads on this forums you made a thread for yourself? Smart.
There's already a massive thread on this topic.

Its just show that, as a matter of fact .. if i browsed the net or played with any app it will drain within 90 minutes.
and thanks for the screen-capture tip,
There seems to be a bug with KE2 on the SG2.
But Im not sure how long the battery lasts then and how it looks like. But it could be that

You dont need to do a search, it's been on the first page of the general forums for the last two weeks so you don't need to do a search just use your eyes.
I can sympathies with your situation because I have same problem, but please read through the threads made before making comments.
there are always some trolls around....

I know there was a thread already posted with a similar topic (here), but I figured since a few days had passed since the 1.5.2 SBF was leaked, people might have some additional observations...so a thread for people to give their feedback might be helpful.
As far as what I've noticed:
#1: No more weird dimming issues when the phone goes to sleep.
I'd noticed on 1.2.6 that when my screen was in the process of turning off, it would dim...then get super bright again before shutting off. 1.5.2 seems to have resolved that issue.
#2: More detailed "Battery Usage" screen.
On 1.2.6, I'd usually only see 5-6 items listed and what percentage of the battery they used. Now though, I typically get something like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

}
I don't recall seeing individual applications being listed before 1.5.2, even on my Captivate.
So...anybody else with any noteworthy observations/changes they've seen?

It's about time that they finally implemented something like that in the Battery Usage

Hahaha; my apartment is a black hole for cellular service. My Dad and sister both have Verizon and they have to go outside to make calls.
Thankfully I'm moving next month and actually get 3G/H+/whatever the eff they're calling it in my new place.

Ha! Thanks for pointing that out, made me laugh
I am on ICS XXLPQ rooted and since the beginning of the week, my phone has turned itself off during the night and thus my alarm doesn't go off. I've noticed some weird battery activity so I PowerDefrosted all my frozen apps to see if it fixes the issue.
I did accidentally flash a stock ICS over my Three branded one. Could this be the issue? Cos right now I'm considering a revert to GB as ICS is nothing but problems so far.
If someone can help it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Here's the odd activity in picture form;

well looking at your wake time it looks like your phone isn't going into sleep mode much overnight.
Check the apps list and see what app is using the most awake time.
I'm currently using a three branded ICS which I manually removed all the bloat from and my battery life is ok.
No ideas. The only thing using the most power is my display, but that's normal. Is there an app or a way to find out in more detail at all?
Cheers.
And my bloat is cleared, but only the ones I definitely know are safe.

Many people have encountered massive battery drains and random reboots on Sammy ICS.
Id suggest downgrading to GB or switching to some custom ICS rom as clearly sammy did a ver ****ty job.
If you want to moniter stuff try Ram manager pro....It keeps ur apps in control and id suggest juice defender also.
If it happens tonight I'm definitely downgrading tomorrow. I'm not impressed with ICS at all with all its teething problems. Its like going from XP to Vista.
Its weird because it only happens if the phone is left completely unattended for a few hours. During the day, there's no irregular spikes at all. That's what I cannot understand

Well you have something which awakes your phone and screen. It might be an app which tries/fails to sync, whatever. Get Better Battery Stats and see what's causing it, you're the only one who can help you.

There's a thread dedicated to the app.
Edit: VAXXi beat me to it.
Since tiny little official ICS thread got moderator-struck, I think there should be at least 1 thread for all the offtopic chat, useless facts, rage faces....
Basically, a hideout when it's raining banhammers
Here you can post links to ptcrb as many time you'd like, hell we might play a drinking game where you have to drink every time some1 posts double, triple quadruple links...
I'll even post a horrible Nolan joke

Updated Google apps (ICS Talk is so much better!), better copy/cut/paste and last but not least CHROME. Luckily for me it works more stable on phone than tablet
I really liked settings button in the notification area, data counter/limiter, much better battery stats and ability to change keyboard easily everytime you write something since options are in the notification area ^^
I lurv teh faces unlokz

There's no such thing as 'a good rom for battery'. Because everyone uses their phone differently & everyone has their phone setup differently. Try a bunch of roms/kernels out until you find a combination that gives you the battery life you're after. Also, there are hundreds of threads on here with lots of info/tips on how to improve battery life - search for them.

Hey Tony! :angel:
OP: all I have to add here is that the Android OS battery drain issue is well-know (a quick search will yield a tonne of threads), so no point elaborating on that. What I can recommend though is downloading BetterBatteryStats, and check for any kernel wakelocks. Fix those if they're there; I will not explain how to, as there are already many threads on the topic. Those will be the main source of your battery drain.

Has i understand it it is some kind of Samsung service battery information/calibration tool and most posts say don't press it! Whoops you did!I have not seen a definite answer around but some people seem to think your battery may return to normal after a few cycles.
The camera issue may just be coincidence not sure.
I learn't along time ago with android don't press anything unless you know exactly what it does.
