This seems ridiculous, it might be an easy fix but I don't have my computer and I need to share a whole google calendar. Even when the browser agent is set to desktop, it loads a mobile version that doesn't show the options to edit sharing settings. I tried opera, dolphin and xscope. Any ideas?

Has anyone managed to get the gmail web application running in offline mode on the Hero?

Gmail Browser vs. Gmail App
Not sure, anyone understood my question.
I personally think that the Gmail App is actually completely obsolete. Especially when you think that it doesn't allow you to download certain attachments.
The mobile browser gmail interface is - amazing. So why have an extra application running when you can only login to gmail offline with your browser? Since the Gmail App is not integrated into the TouchFlo interface anyways?
The questions remains, why the mobile browser interface (after you click on the "faster gmail" link is not doing what it is supposed to be doing aside from having an entry mail.google.com in the gears settings of your browser?
I use Google Apps for Domains. I hadn't tried to log into my mail via the web browser, but I just tried it today.
When I logged in, I was given a message that an update was available that would was faster and would allow me to compose and read email offline. I accepted the update, which appears to be a Gears update, so it looks like it is probably working fine.

Dave

I did the same thing and when you look into your advanced browser settings you can see that gears now seems to be configured for mail.google.com. The questions remains though, if you can login offline to your apps or non-apps gmail account? I haven't been able to....
I love the widget but hate the lack of organization. Anyway to rearrange them?
Yeah, I've been wondering the same. Can't figure out how to rearrange them in-browser either...
There are a couple of apps that will let you rearrange bookmarks. I use BookmarksSB
https://market.android.com/details?id=app-com.happydroid.bookmarks
That one force closes upon opening every time.:/(
On the details of that app it says:
Warning: on Android 3.x/Honeycomb, do not use this application if the Google Chrome bookmark synchronization is activated.
Could that be the problem?
No not synced.
Problem may be I have another browser.apk installed. I believe it was ported from the xoom or transformer with the quick controls.
i don't know why the stock browser doesn't let you rearrange bookmarks.. i've been using dolphin, which does let you, and is more user friendly. it also gives you full screen browsing. you could also set the uastring to desktop without having to debug all the time.
Thank you for the App. I was wondering how can i rearrange my bookmarks. Google should have included that within the browser.
Got a questions.
Regarding email app, anyway one know how can you select all emails at one instead of going through all the email to select them?

Does anyone else have this problem?
I have some local html files, which I have bookmarked in the stock Android browser. When I open the bookmark, all works well. However, when I put the bookmark on my launcher home screen (any launcher, I've tried a few!) it will not open.
If I have transdroid installed, I get an error from transdroid with a FC, if it's not istalled, I get "This application is not installed". THIS ONLY happens with LOCAL HTML files. I can place a link to say http://www.google.com on my launcher home, and it works just fine.
What gives???
On the senseless roms, the stock browser syncs it's bookmarks from Chrome, not from google like in gingerbread. But when you run a Sense ICS rom, you can't get either to sync. I know there are apps that kind of do this, but they don't work on ICS+ browser. Is there a way I can set up, or get the AOSP browser to work in a sense based ICS rom with the bookmarks syncing to Chrome?
I would just use Chrome Beta, but it always opens a page in overview, and it drives me mad. Also, those damn thumb controls in the ICS+ browser (and AOSP browser) are so handy, I can't believe nobody has put them in a browser yet.
I don't know if this is a KitKat issue or because I restored apps with TB. When I try to add bookmarks using the Bookmarks Widget, There are no bookmarks there. I usually use Desktop Visualizer to add customized shortcuts to the launcher but no bookmarks are showing up there either. This is obviously a system wide issue. The bookmarks show up normally in the stock browser and chrome bookmarks are all showing up. I can add bookmarks directly from chrome or the stock browser but I want to get the system bookmark issue fixed.
Update:
So I thought the Bookmark Widget was a stock feature but it appears that it was added when Chrome was installed. The issue was with Chrome but I'm still not sure why it wasn't working. I cleared Data and Cache then uninstalled Chrome. This deleted all bookmarks and then the problem was that Chrome wouldn't sync bookmarks. Finally after a few sign outs on the phone app and PC it finally started syncing. Now all bookmarks are showing up in the bookmark widget.
