Ok I just got the phone with an at&t representative and he said that the update for sideloading apps would be available before the end of the month and starting on may 26. Hopefully we get it before then

I just got the update. Which... actually... isn't an update. I set the date ahead one day, restarted the phone, and voila! The problem is, I don't like that at&t can enable or disable features in my phone without my say so. Maybe I'm a conspiracy theorist, but that's pretty "Big Brother-ish".

No, there most likely won't ever be an official 2.3 release for Aria. That said, there's nothing wrong with 2.2 really.
I have 2.2 but waiting for the unknown sources update is really tiresome...I have an xtc clip but I don't want to root it then 5mins later I have the option on my phone. :/ hurry up at&t with my update!

No see my friend had it and rooted his phone and gave it to me to root mine but its alot of work hooking that thing up to my phone..I might just get him to do it for me

Nothing yet. Im so tempted to go to try the global generic or some other rom but its so close i can taste it. I dont want to take a chance with my warranty or anything

Im on rogers x10a and did the global fw 2.1 update and other than setting apn manually, its great.
The only other function i miss from 1.6 was hanging up the phone call with the power button.

Yeah, I have no issues and I didn't even have to manually reset the APN.
The hardest part was rooting (simply due to the process) and restoring some apps. I have no bugs - though the phone isn't exactly light years better either. I'ld call the improvements minor.
First I had the java issue and fixed it. Then it just hung mid-flash. annoying so ill just wait

You're the 136,794,308th person to ask this inane question on XDA. Accordingly, Samsung have advised there will now be no official ICS firmware released for the SGS2, ever. Nor will there be any source code whatsoever released (which means CM9 won't be progressing from its current alpha build status, also ever).

software update used to work on a stock phone, before i upgraded to xxki4...
just used to say nothing was available... but it still worked

as for being signed in to samsung account... ill have to look, i believe when it stopped working, i froze the parts of it through titanium

so today i was helping a girl with her phone and it was on sense 3.0 and it was saying she had an update from htc software update but her battery was to low it said it needed more than 35% battery life so it can be updated , so i didnt really see what update it was , can someone confirm???
No update on mine...but then again I'm in Puerto Rico, so it might come later who knows. I doubt its the ICS update though lol I dont think HTC would troll us by saying we wont get it till later in the yr then just drop the bomb on us

I got that message...been seeing it on my phone for about a week now...but all i try to update it, it REFUSES to update . It keeps going to the black screen with the little droid and then it stays there til the battery dies....HELP!!!

I am having problem with the device G-Sensor and was talking to TMO. No update coming up. The only one before ICS will be the fix for the sensor issues, said TMO. Or they could come out together.
My 2 months old phone is already broken! Smartphone without sensor is not useful.

Did you calibrate your G-sensor? if not, go to display and calibrate.
use this app to determine whether your G-sensor is working or not.

Mine works just fine. If G-senosr is faulty contact T-mobile.

I tried the sensor calibration but error msg showing calibration aborted. I tried factory reset twice. Finally the sensor started working. TMO is aware of this issue faced by many Amaze owners. They are building a case for HTC to send update.
I just got my Amaze yesterday. There was an update that started last month- brings WiFi calling to the phone. If you have that one, there is no other for TMobile
Anyone hearing ANYTHING about this update? Not even on T-Mo's software update site is it mentioned. I realize the phone has only been out for several weeks, but shouldn't there even be a mention of it? The G4 and G3 updates are complete - I can't imagine it will take much longer - I hope?
With carriers if you are anticipating an update you will turn old and gray...i've learned the best bet is to not think about it and be pleasantly surprised when it releases
if you get any phone outside of a nexus and expect timely updates...that's your fault (not you specifically...just in general)

I can't argue wit that, but T-Mobile has been pretty good about being transparent with updates. Oh well....
As far I know there is still a problem with phone not sending or received mms's on marshmallow and tmobile.

I don't think LG has announced an update for the V10. We'll have to wait for them first...they said it was coming in the next 6 months if I recall correctly.

Isn't the V10 basically a G4? So if G4 is done, v10 should be shortly.
this is just me but i think they have something planed for the v10 they arent saying, i mean the second screen has so much it could do but it just seems like they didnt finish it. has anyone actually realized that there is a setting to set a background image on the second screen it lets you crop the back ground and everything just doesnt apply to the screen. even sync is different than what i'm use to i mean it doesnt kill the battery like on my note for i never left it on it was a 4 hour difference in battery life now its like 15 to 20 minutes different.
LG said something about early 2016 for the V10 update. Will try to find a reference.
considering newest rumors say that g3 update is comming mid dec. and v10 was originaly slated for late 2015, early 2016, you can expect it(going off rumors and leaks) that it'll happen around end december throughout jan.
i have tmo. and my g3 was updated to lolipop earlier this year around march.. LG said they want to get marshmellow out faster then lolipop was.

it doesnt work yet but the settings for it are already there which is why i said they must have stuff planed for it. i use quickshortcut and found that there is two gallery settings for the second screen the first is the sig and the second lets you crop a picture but it doesnt apply when you hit apply
Any idea when we will get Android 6 and any update. My biggest problem is a Bluetooth issue

Although funny, here's my take on this topic.
I'm no longer caring when it'll come out - I'm getting used to it the way it is, and knowing Verizon, they won't change all that much in it anyway. Sure some improvements, but all in all, it won't be like the old days when you'd spend 3 days fixing and tweaking the whole phone all over again as these days you're finished in a few hours ... only to start wondering when the next update is coming.
I do hope you get the BT issue straightened out before hand. I've nothing wrong with mine so it might be more of a BT settings issue to get it to work right over an update.

Did everything what LG told me to do with Bluetooth in our previous conversation with them,no luck and I change my phone by 14 days return policy same issue with the other one (BT)
I wouldn't plan on Android M until around April. That's when we got Lollipop.
